The first time I ran across John W, he came through to inspect a furnace that MacGregors had installed. He took obvious pride in his work, answered questions and was very friendly. Recently he helped fix a major leak and then replaced my water heater. My place is super tricky, due to the previous owners DIY jobs but he kept a good attitude and had a sense of humor about the whole ordeal. John did fantastic work, I've got hot water and a more energy efficient tank than what was in there before.

Nic, our repairman arrived on time, carefully figured out how to solve a water leak, fixed it and performed appropriate tests. He was courteous and like all of the MacGregor people pleasant to work with. MacGregor seems to be more expensive than others but I believe they do quality work and are dependable. My water softener was not recycling properly. When Nick showed up the first thing out of his mouth was this is a old unit and you need a new one which will cost $3000. He began doing water tests where he said the water was hard. Duh, why do you think we called you. He also started talking about how we needed a new air pressure tank and our well was old.

We explained in detail what was going on and when during recycling it happens. He did not seem to care. Never checked to see if anything was clogged, tubing or pipes. Adjusted the back flow and left after my husband stated we are not in the market for a new softener.

I've dealt with other HVAC businesses a ton in last 5 yrs. ( Dieing old furnace). Macgregor has saved me so much money by showing me simple things to do and reset when my furnace quits. Saved me tons, and kept my house warm when furnace acts up at inopportune times. There very client oriented. And have helped me with tough to find parts on an old furnace. Very fair pricing. Fast work/ response. 24 hr services etc. I'd highly recommend Macgregor

Junior and Sylvester did an outstanding job installing a new Bryant furnace and a new hot water heater as well. They were courteous, very professional and on time. They thoroughly cleaned up any debris and answered all of my questions regarding the new units. I highly recommend the MacGregor company and these 2 excellent installers!

It's been quite a experience trying to get my furnace serviced, November 4th scheduled to come between 2-5. No show, so I called just after 5 was told I was next he was still on the call before me. The next day they tried to show up with a email saying they were on the way. A phone call probably would have been the appropriate way. Because no one answered the door, so when we contacted MacGregor later a appointment was scheduled for Monday between 2-5 pm.

My wife said that if nobody was home to come in and do the service. Monday morning just a few minutes after 9 a email saying that they are on the way. They came in and did the service. The scheduling is not very proficient to say the least.

John did an excellent job installing our water heater. He is very knowledgeable and a very nice person. He did a furnace tune up on his own and took a look at the holding tank for the well, also on his own. I would recommend John for any plumbing or heating job. Service: Boiler installation

The snow and cold came last week and the furnace stopped turning on. Urg, thoughts of a costly solution were bringing fear of a sad holiday season. Thank you to delightful Debbie at MagGregor Plumbing & Heating for getting things underway to have a service technician sent out and especially for reminding me that "every day is a good day". I was so. glad when MacGregor service tech, John Whitehead came in and immediately told me he was familiar with my brand of furnace.

He readily accessed the belly of the beast and ran tests and exams to determine the future of my holiday cheer. After a thorough investigation and some much needed internal upkeep, John W. had the mechanics functioning smoothly. He also brought me good news that this one service call was all that was needed. John was awesome! I recently purchased a house with a fuel oil furnace. Through research I learned it is important to have annual maintenance and cleaning completed. Easy enough. until I started calling around and found out that nobody was able or willing to work on them or take on a new customer. I was told by several contractors to just buy a new furnace. John came out, cleaned it, replaced one part, fired it up and then showed me how my entire heating / cooling system worked.

He also looked at my tank to make sure there were no leaks or possible weak spots where it could leak. He told me that my furnace was fine, would easily get me thru the winter and there was no reason to rush into replacing it until I was ready. I really appreciated his honesty and when I do decide to replace it, MacGregor and hopefully John will get my business.

John was here when he said he would be here. Has a happy personality and most importantly he is professional and highly skilled at plumbing and hvac. Highly recommend. John Whitehead very knowledgeable recognized each of my problems immediately and set about to resolve these and several other problems with dispatch. He is very personable and it was great having him resolve issues with out a great deal of stress on my part. He certainly brought to me the feeling of relief I felt while watching him mange my situation.

Our furnace was acting up so I scheduled an appointment with a service technician. John Whitehead arrived and discovered our condensate line was plugged within a short time. I'm glad to know that we have a local service provider that has a great crew of people who know how to provide excellent customer service. There are a few local companies I have tried to deal with lately that never return calls or emails and who don't stand behind their work but this is not a worry with you! I don't feel comfortable with many. service providers now a days but im very happy to have a new reliable company to work with.

I had a furnace installed yesterday. I was very impressed. The crew worked hard and well with each other all day! Hang on to your wallet if you call them. Their fees are crazy and will shock you. The work is average. Came out quickly when scheduling which was a plus. Just too expensive compared to others in the area.

We have had geothermal heating and cooling for the last 18 years. I have had other companies serviced my unit in the distant past, but since I switched to MacGregors, my unit is working great! Jim is the most proficient tech I have had and it is clear that he has a very good sense of working on geothermal heating and cooling units.

Beware of the ripoff! My tech advised me it would be $500 max to do five things at my house. He was unable to do the biggest, most complicated one and left me with a bill of almost $700! Plus, one item was checking a toilet that ran continuously, and after he left I realized it didn't flush at all! He was at my house less than two and a half hours which means they charge almost $250/hour.

I called two other plumbing companies and also talked to an independent plumber and all said the rate should be around $80/hour. The woman at the MacGregor office said they can charge UP TO $400/HOUR! Anyway, I immediately put the charge in dispute on my credit card. PS - A painter at my house fixed the toilet!

Called these guys for a furnace issue. On the phone they stated that a service call cost 80 Dollars and that it would need to be paid when the technician came. They were on site for 10 minutes and we received a bill for 175 Dollars to unplug a vacuum line. I've called 4 times and left messages for the lady that handles billing without receiving any response. Terrible customer service.

I was very please when Josh came to my home to do winter service on our furnace. He was on time and finished in good time. He took care not to track in dirt. We went across the street to our rental property and he serviced the furnace there and took care of a problem that could have caused damage to our furnace and put co2 in the house. Great job.

MacGregor did the right thing in replacing an expensive part under warranty that was most likely damaged in a previous repair. It would have been easy to deny resposibility, but they showed the perfect example of honest customer service.

Chad was awesome! He fixed the problems on the first trip out. He was extremely friendly and very professional. If it were possible, I'd request him every single time we have a problem. Trust me, sign up for the maintenance contract. We've saved well over its cost over the years in fixed issues before they became disasters.

MacGregor has been our plumbing and heating company of choice for about 7 years. They do the job at reasonable prices and their staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Jim replaced our hot water heater last weekend (on a Saturday) and stuck with it until the job was done. Then he called on Sunday to be certain everything was okay. In the process of replacing the heater, he uncovered a potentially serious problem with the electric feed into our house (voltage spiking). We were able to call Consumers Energy to get is corrected. I would recommend MacGregor to anyone (and everyone!).
