Aaron came in and immediately began troubleshooting the system. He determined what needs to be done and did the repairs. He also checked the filter on my furnace and installed a new filter. I own a condominium in Birmingham, and live very far away. Jacob's Ladder Heating and Cooling was the first HVAC contractor used, I will never switch. Through ten plus years of service, difficult tenants, and holiday meltdowns, this company has proven to be dream resource for this Landlord. Pricing is sensible and fair. Workmanship has been informed and trouble free. This company just gets better!

When I called this local company. I was told there was a 85 dollar service call fee that would be applied to the bill if they repaired the furnace. The technician diagnosed the issue within 5 minutes. While he was texting the office back and forth after diagnosed that wasted 15 minutes. The day prior I was told cash or credit card is acceptable. So the part the needed replacement i can buy online for 3 dollars but to err on the side of caution I was recommended to replace the 2 limit switches.

I agreed. So I was charged 200.00. The tech didn't carry any parts on his truck so I had to pay the travel time to and from part store. The total time to replace parts was 3 minutes. Now comes time to pay with credit card and I was informed there was a fee to use card. I was not informed about this fee while I was on the phone setting up appointment.

So I write a check. 45 minutes after the tech left had no heat again. After doing my own work I got furnace to work again. I had to leave for the weekend so I still do not know if the furnace is still working.

I've been using Jacob's Ladder since the great flood of 2014 when Jacob came quickly and was able to get my hot water heater started. I was very grateful. I initially worked with Jacob for the initial estimate, but Chris was our technician. Very professional, courteous. After they installed the dryer hose, they apparently reviewed the job and wanted to do it differently. They came back, reinstalled the hose. Great team. And they give a military discount, I will always patronize a business that appreciates veterans.

Great experience, responsive, quick and affordable repair -- no complaints! Nick was awesome -- friendly, helpful, informative, professional, fantastic customer service. He even took the time to teach me a little bit about my unit. AC was back up and running from within a couple hours of my call. Second experience with Jacob's Ladder and even better than the first. I was INCREDIBLY impressed with Jacob's Ladder. They worked diligently to get to my house even before our scheduled appointment so they could begin to work on my A/C. The representative I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and the employee that came to my house was incredibly polite and highly skilled; the task was completed in a short period of time with 100% accuracy. The experience was very professional and efficient. He called me ahead of time to notify me of his arrival. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend this company and his service. I have had Jacob's Ladder out to my house a number of times. Chris has come out to check my furnace and air conditioner and always remembers me. We discuss my units and he gives me advice regarding the upkeep. It is nice to feel comfortable when a service man comes into your house.

Prompt service. They were difficult to deal with in using my home warranty. In the end, I was left to wait over a week for them to contact my home warranty to verify the service completion and invoice, which they never did. They texted me in response to a message I sent and expressed their frustration for having to deal with my home warranty! After I had to make several phone calls, my home warranty made an exception and paid my balance per my request. The work completed was perfect. The management and office work was lackluster.

Our furnace wasn't working, and they came out quickly after we called. They showed me the problem, fixed it and cleaned my furnace. Very professional, explained everything well. Their estimate was the same as the final price. Will call again.
