Extremely high levels of efficiency are possible because a geothermal heat pump only uses electricity to move heat, not produce it.
Geothermal energy comes from heat that is stored in the earth's core. The Earth's core is extremely hot, as can be seen from things like volcanoes, hot springs, and geysers. Although we don't have volcanoes or hot springs here in Michigan, the temperature remains a constant 50-55 degrees or so just a few feet under the ground, even during winter.

After our first experience with Metzger's, and the tech who came out, Aaron, I only wish I would have hired them sooner for our HVAC needs. When we kicked on our A/C for the summer we were getting no air in the registers, Aaron was able to come and fix it super quick and offered to answer my many questions about our furnace. While here, he identified a small gas leak that we've been fighting to get repaired but have been told by a previous company that it didn't exist.
Not only did he go above and beyond by mentioning it, but he was also able to completely repair the problem same day. Having that done was such a huge relief for us and I'm thankful for his knowledge. I will certainly be using Metzger's for all our heating and cooling needs down the road.

We had someone come to our house on October 28th to clean our furnace and do a diagnosis of what repairs were needed to be able to have heat. They gave me a verbal estimate but it is now December 15th and I still have no heat. They have promised a written estimate on four different occasions and that has not happened. It's 18 degrees outside and I have no heat because they keep promising that someone will be out "tomorrow". But tomorrow never comes.

I had a gas leak in an outside gas line which ran some older appliances in one part of the house. After finding the leak on a Friday Evening, Aaron came out Saturday and expertly assessed the problem, initialized cutting out the leak pipes, and had a solution for the instal team to help me. He was right on time and did an excellent job. Top shelf customer service!

I couldn't say enough positive things about this company. They installed a geothermal unit about 6 months ago. They were very knowledgeable and had a passion for the units that they install. Not only were the professional and amazing at the install and instruction, they called us when our power went out and we had an error code on our unit. They were trying to fix it before we could even do anything about it. The tech called me in the evening to tell me they were working on it! I would recommend them 10 times out of 10, if you are looking for a geothermal unit they amazing!

Ray has been my service tech since we bought our house; excellent guy with lots of knowledge. We replaced the old thin fin boiler last fall with a new U.S. Boiler cast iron unit and three zones. Ryan did the install and we could not be happier; he also has a lot of experience and knowledge. Only issue has been a leaking valve but Ray had the part on the truck and it fixed it first time.
