Had an installation done by Massman that was not properly completed until October 2021. A very expensive installation in Hudson. Jason sells the company and the new owner is not licensed in Wisconsin. No notification from Massman. They failed to complete the installation properly and I got it running on my own. Texted Jason and no reply. Horribly disappointed

Massmann has serviced my geothermal unit several times over the years but today when I called them (during a heat advisory) when the unit was leaking, they were there within the hour. On top of that, the technician explained the repair in a very comprehensive and understandable way. Highly recommend them! Service: A/C system repair

Our conventional AC went out during the Great Heat Wave of June 2021. I called Massmann because I'm thinking about converting to geothermal some day, and this was an opportunity to kick the tires, and see if I'd be comfortable hiring this firm for a total system replacement. There was a hiccup with the scheduling--apparently the appointment got lost or deleted from their calendar.
So it took 3 days for them to get out here, instead of 2. A bit of a bummer, but a first-world problem, and I survived just fine. Nonetheless, I give them 5 stars because the crew was efficient at diagnosing the problem, knowledgeable, polite, and taught me a few things I should be mindful of as homeowner of an aging AC system. We had our current AC & furnace installed in 2003, and if you're like me, you're thinking "we just installed that, so it's practically new." But alas, time flies, what was once new is now considered old.
Routine maintenance can avert some system failures, and the failures always happen in the hottest part of the heat wave, or the coldest days of the polar vortex. Be a good homeowner, and schedule maintenance in the spring and fall; or get on a preventative maintenance plan.

Jason is great, always willing to help over the phone and explain things to me. Being a widow, whose husband handled all of these types of things, I feel like I'm finding my way in the dark. Good honest service is like gold. If they can walk me through a fix and save a service call they do. Maverick the tech is great too.

We have worked with Massman Geo for many years, since they installed our geothermal heating/AC system at a time when few companies were really involved with geothermal technology. The way I feel now, barring some unforeseeable change in the way they do business, I have no reason to even consider looking elsewhere for alternative heating/air services.
We upgraded our system with them recently and-while I rarely write reviews for products/services we've received-I thought the workmanship shown in their installation certainly warranted my writing this positive review. Thanks, guys.

We purchased a home with geothermal in 2020. On 9/17/2020, Massmann did annual maintenance and we purchased their Gold maintenance plan. They recommended $1235 of repairs, all of which we had them do 10/16/2020. Immediately afterward, our heat was not working well. We called Jason Massmann to inquire because the house was new to us and we'd never had geothermal. Jason stated it can to 2 weeks to "get going" and gave advice about thermostats.
So we waited and we were busy with twin preemie newborns - I used a space heater in our master bedroom to keep the babies warm in their bassinet. Finally, in December, I called Massmann again because I thought this just can't be right and the babies' nursery was always cold. Massmann returned and stated our geothermal system was "locked-out" because all refrigerant had leaked out.
On 1/11/21, Massmann replaced parts and refilled the refrigerant. While the technician was in the middle of the repair, Massmann's billing rep called us and said she put the wrong item on the estimate and the bill would be $500 more than quoted. Afterward, again, our heat did not work well. Again we called Massmann, they came back on 1/27/21 and stated the refrigerant they had just refilled on 1/11 had all leaked out, and that another part needed to be replaced.
This technician also shut off the compressor, to which our in-floor heating was wired leaving us with no source of heat to our bedrooms in January. We have boiler backup to our in-floor heating, and I believe that has been our sole source of heat and our geothermal has not worked at any time due to Massmann's incompetence. Fortunately, I have since found much more competent and ethical geothermal contractors to fix Massmann's errors, both of whom commented that a part Massmann replaced didn't look new. Massmann was also consistently later than their quoted timeframe and their technician put his trash in and took the box I store Christmas decor in.

Massmann Geothermal Team, I wanted to commend your organization on providing "Excellent Customer Service"! I called yesterday and was able to coordinate a service call on my ground source geothermal system the following day. The women (did not catch her name) handling the scheduling was professional and asked the important questions to prepare the technician.
Today Maverick arrived on time and prior to ringing the doorbell had all his PPE on. He was able to quickly diagnosis the system and get it back up and running in short order. He explained the issues and was able to solve multiple problems found by utilizing parts he had brought in his truck (due to the guidance he was given from the individual that answered the first call).
His courteous and professional behavior was "OUTSTANDING"! Your organization have all my future HVAC repair business and when a replacement unit may be necessary you will have that as well.

A review from my dad, Will Law - I want to thank Massmann geothermal for the quick response to my heating issue this week. Jason sent Cody, the technician, out first thing the next morning from when I called. Cody was very knowledgeable and courteous. He solved our geothermal heating problems and took the extra time to explain how we could operate our system more efficiently. Both Jason and Cody were super great to work with! We had a party for 100+ people in July. The geothermal went out at 7 am that morning on a day that was over 90 degrees. By 7:15 I had a return call from Jason--who was on a trip in Florida! He walked me through a temporary fix that restored the cooling and helped make the day a great success. The permanent fix was completed a few days later by one of the most courteous service reps we have ever had. What a great first experience with Massmann. The best. T Cook

Our geothermal unit has been an excellent addition to our home. We have realized significant savings in heating and air-conditioning costs. Any upgrades or maintenance issues have been responded to very quickly. We've found that Ben and Maverick are excellent at trouble shooting and repair. I would definitely recommend Jason and his team at Massmann Geothermal.
