Critical: Quality Came out to service Ac did not check Freon level ac went out 2 weeks after service for low Freon levels no leaks present. Just poor judgement to not check Freon levels during service. When we call office to explain what has happens only thing they could say is that sucks. In my opinion call someone else Services: Repair HVAC, A/C system maintenance

Very seldomly do I ever hire a Service that is on time, does the job correct the first time. These guys are really good they know what they're doing the technician that showed up had no issues fixing repairing and cleaning my entire system works 100% better. I will only use holders Service: A/C system maintenance

Tim with Holder's AC is amazing, professional, works fast and is always on time and prompt. Holder's has been awesome with us. Brylon has had lots of work set up to be done on our rental house we're selling now and every time we ask for service they're right on. We highly recommend them for swamp coolers. I usually don't do reviews, but the techs (Christian & Brylan) in this company earned it with flying colors. First, the lady doing customer service was so sweet and got a tech out here in less than 3 days! I waited 2 1/2 months with a leading competitor. Just sweet as can be and helped me out with excellent customer service. Secondly, I usually don't feel comfortable with people in my home cause of previous issues of break-ins, but these techs changed all that. Welcoming, professional and all around awesome guys.
They were friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. I'm studying to be an electrical engineer, but know nothing about central A/C units and they explained everything to me in full detail so I actually understood what was going on. I mean those units are $10,000 a pop you want to know what's going on, right!? Best part is when Brylan explained how I have two services for this one time payment that they will be reaching out to me in many forms to remind me to service the home units again!
Easily could have missed that to save a buck, but they didn't. Again, trustworthy and incredibly great at their jobs. Outstanding info from Brylan and just absolutely perfect tech work from Christian. Both great workers by far. They also got here on time in between our timed window which I appreciate being here on my day off. Look, I've gone to main competitors and don't go there anymore because of the great services provided by this company.
I'm not trying to harp on other companies, but i rarely happily give money away and today was one of them. Worth every penny. Great job and these guys deserve a bonus, raise and promotion!

I had a new HVAC system installed almost two years ago this coming August. After the first year I signed up for Holders maintenance program and paid in advance for them to come onsite twice a year to perform maintenance. Once in the Fall season to checkout the heating system and once in the spring season to check out the air conditioning system. I wasn't real happy with the AC system maintenance.
I have "in most cases" noticed the service technician would take the top off the condenser unit that is mounted on the ground in my back yard, "the unit with the cooling vents and compressor in it" and he/she would blow/vacuum leaves and dirt out of the bottom pan of the unit and also clean the cooling vents. This time he just spayed the vents with water from the outside.
The inside was not touched. So I have to decide if I want to let it go and let the bottom pan rust away over time or do the cleaning myself or call them a complain about the poor service. I think I will call them and see how they respond.

Not satisfied with the end results I have been trying to get them to correct an airflow issue but they do not respond the receptionist keeps telling me the manager will be in contact it has been away over a month I called a week ago they say they are going to look Into it but no one has contacted me I gave them a shot like their moto says but they disappointed me

I have been in my new home for a year and half. My brand new heating unit stopped working about a week ago. I contacted Lennar to check which company installed the heating units in their Lennar homes. I was informed Holders was the heating company that installed the heating units. I contacted Holders, and they informed me it would be $89 to just check the unit.
The service guy was on time and diagnosed the issue within about 30 minutes. I was informed there was a part that malfunctioned, and will need to be replaced. Holders contacted me the following day. Holders informed me they would order the part which would be covered under warranty because I'm the original owner. I was then told it would be $220 for the service guy to come out again and replace the part.
I then commented it's going to be a total of $300 for you guys to fix a part that malfunctioned in a brand new heating unit. His response, yes, ma'am. I agreed because obviously I was not going to live without heat. The service guy was scheduled to come and repair the unit between 12-2. He arrived after 5 due to another job and holiday traffic.
He fixed the unit within 20 minutes for $220. I'd love to know their hourly rate. I would think the initial visit and payment should have applied to the 2nd visit, but of course that wasn't the case. I felt completely ripped off and will not do business again with Holders. I'm thankful the part was replaced, but the cost was LUDICROUS!

I was desperate for service because my heating unit failed and it was freezing in my house. Holders made a space to come out the next day. He found that my electrical outlet had melted. So I had to call an electrician to repair the outlet. I called holder back to say that it was repaired. The technical made space in his busy schedule to return the same day and got my heater working. All of this got completed in just one day. This all happened two days before Christmas. I feel that Holders really cares about its customers.

We couldn't be much happier with their service, and we are glad we found them. Eddie the technician did an epic job. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, friendly and reliable, and changed a part on our heating unit because it was worn out. We definitely will do business with them again. I sent an email inquiring about heating service on Saturday. Monday morning around 9am I received a callback; this was the only company out of the 6 I emailed to contact me. The lady who called was very sweet and even though it wasn't urgent she was able to book me in for same day service! Jorge was my technician, he was on time, quick, explained everything I had questions about without rushing. I'm so glad that Holders was the company to call me, I'll be sticking with them for all our hot and cold needs!

Wow! Where do I start? Two weeks ago, I woke up to my house being warmer than usual and I realized the air conditioner was not working. I first called Gundlach and the Gundlach man came out and told me there was no power to my air conditioner and that I needed an electrician, charged me 140$ for nothing, and left. He also told me that since my unit was so old, he couldn't work on it anyways and that I needed to buy a new AC.
So then I hired a general contractor to come out to my house and we find out the circuit breaker for the AC was tripped and it needed to be reset. He also told me that my AC couldn't handle cooling my house at any other temperature below 75. Basically trying to sell me a new air conditioner. Also told me that my unit needed refrigerant. Over the next two weeks the breaker continuously tripped and the AC would not stay on.
The contractor was supposed to come back out to my house and recharge my AC in hopes that it would solve the problem. He cancelled on me last minute. I needed it fixed as soon as possible so I called Holders asking for a recharge. The Holders man came out to my house two hours before expected which was awesome! He went and inspected my air conditioner and told me that my unit was in perfect working condition despite being old and that I should be able to run it at whatever temperature I want.
It didn't even need refrigerant! So I was lied to by the other people. He inspected the circuit breaker and found a loose wire that needed tightened and he tightened it and my AC has been working and the breaker has not tripped since! THANK YOU HOLDER'S! Thank you for being honest and going above and beyond instead of just trying to sell me a new unit. I will be using Holders for life!

My AC recently went out during one of the hottest times of the year and ever recently for this time of year in Bakersfield, Ca. There has been a regular excessive heat warning with temps average at least 110 degrees. My original contractor cancelled on me at 830am the day they were supposed to come out. I contacted Holders and they couldn't send anyone right away but made arrangements to get a tech out that same day.
We had the pleasure of working with Jorge who was very helpful. Very informative and while my wife was the one at home assisting him he contacted me after the work was performed to give me details as well. My experience with Holders was great!

It's the law of nature that on the hottest day of summer the AC will fail! Holders came out and promptly identified the problem as the blower motor, but wouldn't be able to get the part until Monday (this was on Saturday). On Monday, Holders worked with us to be able to pick up the part in Fresno instead of waiting for part to be shipped. They even called to make sure I had no problem picking up the part and was safely on my way home.
The repair person was at my house within a half hour of when I returned with the part and had my AC running shortly thereafter. Great attention to service.and the part was still under warranty!

Saturday night my AC unit stopped working efficiently, it was having a hard time keeping the temp below 85. Being a little big of a spaz I forgot that I had a full parts and labor warranty with the company that installed my unit and they were not 24/7 so in a panic I called Holder's hoping to not boil to death over the weekend. When it rang through to the after hour on call tech no one answered.
The message said to leave my info and they would call back within 1 hour. If I didn't get a call back in 1 hour it said to call the manager and gave a phone number that I didn't write down at the time. 3 hours later nothing so I called back to get that manager's number and give him a ring. This time no one answered the after hour tech line again but the message had changed and basically said they had a high call volume and couldn't take my call leave another message. It's been over 48 hours since I placed the initial call and left my message and still no one from Holder's ever called me back even to follow up.
I get that I don't need the service anymore and everything to taken care of but honesty it's the principal that they didn't even bother to call me back. I can't in good faith recommend this company to anyone.

Brylon responded to our call in a very prompt manner, showed up during the time window in which he said he would, was extremely kind, personable and professional, and fixed our air conditioning issue very quickly : Did not at ALL feel ripped off by this company, and would highly recommend to anyone with any sort of air conditioning or heating issues!

When our usual AC guy retired, we turned to some trusted friends to recommend a service. They had been using Holders do two of their homes, and were very pleased. We gave them a try, and found them to be reliable, friendly, and professional. They show up on time. They thoroughly check out our unit during each season. We have already recommended them to our friends.

Worst company in Bakersfield, they lack basic customer service skills and to be frank they have no idea what they are doing. We had our unit installed back in 2016, it came with a 10 year warranty. So when we recently had an issue with our unit we called for them to come do a repair, they said "oh sorry we can't we don't have anyone available until a few weeks" this was during winter when it was really cold.
We usually have little ones at the house and we did not want them to suffer in the cold so we said that was not acceptable, and all of a sudden oh we can be there today. So were they just lying at the beginning of the call or what because that's a huge jump a few weeks to oh later today we will have someone out? Then when the guy got here he was very unprofessional he was rude to my mother, he told her she had to pay because the repair he did was a service not a repair and she had to pay. She's a Spanish speaker and did not understand the warranty, the guy just took advantage of her and took her money. (To this day they have not refunded us when they said they would because when I called to complain they acknowledged it was covered by warranty and we should have not been charged. That's not all, we had to do various repairs to our roof because every time it rained the ceiling directly underneath the AC unit would leak.
We thought, it cant be the AC unit it was barely installed, we had them come out and do work in the unit every so often, so theres no way it can be the unit. So we hired handy man after handy man to fix the roof, patch the roof around the unit, everything and anything we tried. until March 5th our ceiling completely caved in. It had been raining all day, and it started as a little leak then suddenly the ceiling completely caved IN!
Can you imagine how scared we were I was 7 months pregnant it was terrifying, the leak was in my moms rooms. And all I could think was what if it would've happened in my son's room over his crib. It was so stressful we had to put buckets and buckets and it felt like the rain was never going to stop. So we call our insurance and they said was it under your AC unit?
Have them come out and check it again, so we did and GUESS WHAT HAPPENED! The unit was never installed correctly it did not have a drain pan or draining rails (as the guy explained to me). So all this time we had water in our attic and leaks because the unit was never installed correctly. He apologized, he said he would be back in a week to correctly install the unit (YES people they had to reinstall it the whole unit because it was such a MICKEY MOUSE job the first time). SO mind you it rained again that weekend, but we had to make due with the damage it couldn't get any worse.
The guy who came out said, "this is completely our fault write down how much you have spent on repairs rather receipts because I can see you have done repairs on your roof, and around the unit, (we even showed him the bedroom where we had to have someone come out and patch it) and we will refund you." He apologized and said he was so sorry no one caught the issue before.
After a few weeks of no call or letter from them regarding our refund, I called the office, and they dropped my call. I call again and the manager is in a meeting (total BS). So finally when he calls me back, he said to send him receipts and he will SEE WHAT HE CAN DO, excuse me sir we had damage to our ceiling because of your poor installation correct?
He said to email him so I did, and he would ignore my emails for weeks, and so I started sending them again (YES PEOPLE I have to double email to get a response and in less than an hour he reply's with excuses "this won't do I need an invoice" we hired handymen from the yellow pages if you have every had work by them its just a simple receipt but no they want contractor license numbers (and addresses and numbers when the receipts have but noooooo.) At this point im so pissed off, im tired of excuses.
They will take your money, and run with it, the customer service is the worst and the service itself the product just sucks. Point blank and when you call them out for their crap they will give you the run around. Please save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.

So I'm sitting here with no A/C service. Thanks for nothing Holders. I set up an appointment on Saturday for Friday between 8-10. No one showed. No one called. I call them at 10:30 as I'm headed to work and "he's on his way." I reschedule for 3:00-5:00. I feel like Jules talking about Marcellus in Pulp Fiction if you catch my drift.
I only give two stars because the other two folks that were sent out a few years ago were great. Today sucked. If the manager reads this, please don't apologize. You've lost my business and all the referencing I've done for you over the years.

My house was built in 2016 and I recently had a leak through my ceiling caused by the AC in my attic. (Not knowing who installed it originally) I had HVAC contractors inspect my unit in the attic and tell me there was no secondary pan installed when the house was built to prevent the leak. Now I am pulling my hair out trying to solve the issue because with no secondary drain pan installed, it is currently damaging the platform, my ceiling, and lighting fixtures below the attic. I've already spent $$$ on getting inspections and going thru trouble to contact the builder to see who installed the unit, which I found out today is Holders.
People are people, we often miss things but this is the absolute minimum (a drain pan) to prevent damage. **UPDATE** My AC was repaired on a Friday but they had to come back out Monday because they had broken the AC switch. (So when I turned it off during the weekend, it didn't kick back on). Anyway, AC was fixed at no charge and running as it should after a few back&forth w/repairs. Overall, 3 stars thank you!

No stars for this group for their ignorance on hiring an idiot driver/technician. This driver of theirs thinks it is funny to try and drive me and my family off the road heading west bound on Ming Ave. I doubt this driver even got into trouble. I hope someday Holders goes under when they get sued for their driver killing a family while he is driving like a radical maniac. You know who you are driver and you see my name their. Any other A/C & heating place is better than this one. $*%# Holders.
