Federal Elite Heating & Cooling was established in October of 1987. Steve Richards, founder, began his business with one other employee in a shop located near his home. Had them check out why our furnace stopped heating. They replaced a control panel which didn't fix the issue. They then came back and checked it out and said we'd need to replace the entire furnace which would cost us 10,000. We got a second opinion which revealed that the control panel wasn't installed correctly.

We had been living in a new house for several months, with a perfectly functioning HVAC unit. I decided we better have it cleaned and inspected as we never had it done. The following happened in the space of a few days. Called this company. The technician showed up cleaned and inspected the unit saying it had years of service remaining. Charge was a bit over 100 bucks.
We wake up to no heat. Called them back. Another technician shows up and after a few minutes said we had a bad circuit board. Without fanfare, handed me a bill for over 500 dollars. I about fainted. Again, we wake up to a malfunctioning unit. Call them yet again. Spend most of the day here and hand me another bill for almost 300 dollars. Adding this up yet?
It matters little if this was mischievous intent or incompetence. I'm out around a grand. Just do yourself and wallet a favor and do NOT call these people. Also, do not expect the courtesy of a reply to any correspondence.
