When my house was built Rand-Handy was the company who installed my heating system. For years after I retained them as my Oil provider but they insisted on random fill ups which I did not desire, I am more of an order when needed. So I went a different direction. Today I called them as I am having an issue with the service and thinking that as the installer and provider of said system I would be best served having them work on their creation.
However they asked who I now purchase oil from (being a consumer I price shop) and I told him not quite sure. He then said well where ever you buy oil from have them look at it. Of course they can send a service man out if I agree to an oil contract. So it all came back to me.

The fine folks have picked up an run with the ball after a huge fumble by one of their competitors, I will stand by this company and their customer service and their discount for paying before bill is due, if I have an issue I call and they know me by name and just help, can't say enough good things about this company and their customer service, I will be a lifelong customer.

I'm writing a review of this place because my parents have been dealing with these folks for 20+ years and they really deserve some good press after recent events. OK, here's the deal: usually when something goes wrong with my parents oil burner/boiler (which is from the 70's no less) or anything else they own-I get a call to see if it's something I can help them with being the handyman of the family. However, unless it involves hitting a reset button, or telling them they're out of oil, they usually wind up calling Rand Handy for repair haha (Hey I can't know everything).
All I can say is these folks are FAST. If you call them and say you've got no heat they show up about 30 minutes later. I'm from Boston, so I'm used to scheduling things during the week, so I'm blown away that these folks always show up so quickly. If you need something major done and HAVE to schedule it and they say they'll be there on Tuesday at 2PM they'll be there on Tuesday at 1:55PM.
I don't know if they don't get very busy on the south shore or what, but man these folks are reliable. The other part of the service experience is the people who show up themselves-almost always someone older (45+ years old) who knows what they're doing, explains things, and lets you know what's going on and are friendly. I have no idea how their prices compare in the area, or if they deliver very far from Marshfield, but their service is old-school and definitely top notch, which these days counts for a lot.
