My husband and I had a very pleasant experience working with Ralph's heating and cooling to resolve our HVAC temperature and faulty 3 zone system starting with front desk assistance. We had no problems getting service appointment, and they completed job professionally and in a timely manner. I've used Ralph's for five years for heating maintenance and they've been responsive and reasonably priced. Recently, our boiler went out on the coldest days so far in Chicago. Ralph's had identified a new boiler and begun installation by noon the day after I called and got us back with heat by the next evening when their guys stayed late to make it work. Very professional. My family was extremely grateful.

Ralph's has been servicing our furnace and air conditioning system for years, and have never disappointed. There fees are comparable to other companies we've used in the past. There is never a problem scheduling a service appointment that's suitable to our convenience. The owners and technicians give honest feedback, and they do great work. 4/18/2021: For years, this reputable heating/plumbing service center has provided top notch service for many citizens of the greater Chicagoland metropolitan area. My father was a longtime customer of it's service facility on Chicago' Southeast region. On April 7th, due to a loss of heat in the home of my childhood, I called the dispatcher for Ralph's customer service department to request an appointment for service for the following week. However, we requested an earlier date due to concerns for safety of the use of our heating system.
Without hesitation, a service technician was sent immediately, and arrived within 15 minutes. The technician, a Mr. Justin B., performed a thorough inspection, cleaning, emissions tests, and, needed service, insisting on safety first during all stages of the visit! My father, Nathaniel Clark, Sr., passed away in 2018. The week he passed away, Ralph's Heating came out for an emergency service request, and, as always been consistent then, all the years prior, and, even this visit, exceptional service is the standard set by this service provider! We were So Very Pleased with the Services provided by Ralph's. They Replaced our Central Air Conditioning and were knowledgeable about what type would best suit our needs. Their proposal about the cost was spot on. The technicians were on time, professional and very respectful. We have used Ralph's in the past and will continue to so. I just purchased a property in Washington park and I called Ralph's heating to service the 40 year old steam boiler. There prices are good and the service is second to none. I called them back a second time to add heat sensors on all levels and new thermostat that I can control from my phone, again they were cordial and on time, the tech was professional and helpful with setting it up on my phone. Called at 2 in the afternoon because my air handler motor was making odd noises. They were very pleasant on the phone when making arrangements. They called back to say they were on their way. A tech showed up in 20 minutes. Tech was knowledgeable and professional. The tech made a phone call to a peer to confirm his thoughts, which is great! The tech had the parts in his truck that were needed and completed the job. Two hours from start to finish. Great experience.

I moved into my place a few months ago and started having problems with the boiler. I called another company that didn't really solve the problem. I started to search the internet and called another company that was too far away to give me immediate service. Ralph's made the appointment, was on time and gave me superior service without gouging me with the price. This is a longtime business that obviously cares about their reputation. I will always recommend them.

Moved into an old home with radiator heating & we started having issues with the boiler. We had Ralphs to come out because their sticker was on our boiler. They came out to diagnose the problem & the tech found that our water feeder needed to be replaced. After my husband did more research we started to realize we may just need to replace the whole boiler because ours was at least 30 years old.
We had several companies to come out to quote us for a new boiler including Ralphs. And even though one company quoted us less than what Ralphs quoted us we still went with them because since they were a smaller company, we felt we would get the attention we needed. They also seemed well knowledge in radiator heating & boilers. We also loved how professional they were in not bad mouthing other companies because we had experienced that with another company that came to our home. Jon Heritage was great & very prompt when he needed to meet with us.
The crew that came to install our boiler was amazing as well. We are satisfied with our new boiler & our home became well heated the moment after they were done installing. We could definitely tell a difference! We highly recommend Ralphs Heating service & will use them in the future if we need it.

I was referred to Ralph's by another service provider located in the suburbs. Ralph's customer service was excellent. The response was incredibly timely. Carl, the technician, shared his expert knowledge and provided great service at a very reasonable price. I am a satisfied customer and will look into their maintenance programs for I expect to use Ralph's Heating & Air Conditioning for years to come.

Heating repairs were urgently needed. Ralph's Heating was happy to help, until they discovered the repairs weren't going to be covered by insurance. My impression is that the job proposal was "jacked up" in anticipation of a big payday. While I'm not certain of that, Ralph's Heating walked away from the job. I was left to believe that unless the company is able to get top dollar for their services, they simply walk away.

I moved into an older home that had been vacant in which the gas was shut off. This home had no Carbon Monoxide Detectors either. I Thank God every day that I called this company instead of just having the unit and gas turned back on. Upon inspection there was a crack in the heat exchange. I had no idea and I shudder at the thought of what could of happened to my son and I.
The gentleman that serviced me was so thorough and explained everything and I felt like he truly cared. I'll never go without Carbon Monoxide Detectors. Ever! Thank you for putting up with all of my million and one questions and for caring! I then hired this company to service my units at my business and they have handled everything from my ceiling units, wall units and A/C units in a 10,000 sq ft building.
I understand very little about these things and they have been incredible at teaching me how to help keep my units well cared for in between seasonal checks (I have a large kennel and training facility and their is lots of hair!) I have learned so much through them and couldn't be happier.

I met a service man in my home parking lot. He was about to leave after finishing service for my next door. I approached him sitting inside service van and asked if he could see my heating furnace that seemed to be repaired. He said he would charge $120.00 for trip charge. $120.00 TRIP CHARGE? What the heck? Trip charge is trip charge for coming to caller.
He was about to charge $120.00 for tripping from in front of my home to inside, around 20 feet. Obviously, bad business! I imagined how much this business would rip off people. This business deserves no star at all.

5 stars, On a very cold Sunday after in Jan 2013 we called after the furnance refused to turn back on after I changed the furnace filter. The filter placement is in a difficult spot and I knew something might have gotten torn up as I did my job. My wife called, and the operator said we would be called back in 10 min. A man called within 5 or 10 minutes, and walked me through a check of things, like checking the furnace door switch, thermostat, etc to avoid having to come out and incur a $169 minimum charge, in case it was just turning off or on a switch.
I made the decision to have him come out, he found a wire I did not see that became disconnected, and fixed it. Total Charge about $205. He also showed us how we no longer needed to do the difficult torsion inducing filter placement that caused this problem. He pointed out that the return register on the living woom wall had a direct sheet metal box connection to the furnance blower where could we can put the filter-so much easier! Repairman was courteous, went right to work, and I felt comfortable having him in our home-something I never know in advance. Id guess if this was not a Sunday but rather a weekday the rate would have been less, but given the circumstances, prompt resolution, good guy showing up and no bs upselling, I say well worth it.
