I have been installing, servicing and performing start ups on LAARS Commercial and Residential equipment for 15 years. Their sales, tech support, warranty and training have always been top notch. They have never left me hanging like I have experienced with other manufacturers. I have received numerous follow up calls from them to make sure any problem I have encountered has been rectified. LAARS genuinely cares and stands behind their products.

As a service technician I constantly encounter different equipment on a day to day basis and have to say their equipment is the most reliable on the market (I have a Mascot in my house providing heat and hot water).

Will never buy another system from laars! Nothing but issues since we got it, and can't get any help from laars. Stay away from laars, all systems.

Installed a mini therm gas boiler in October of last year. So far I've went through 4 control boards, all new wiring. That process took 2 months with Laars. They sent a regional technical manager out who you could tell runs around like crazy state to state handling these cases everyday. He found all of the control boards had bad solders which were causing bad connection.

He had no idea what to do other than send me 3 more boards and all of the wiring. The issue is the red, blue and black wires behind the control board need tension to make connection. So naturally after 4 boards and all new wiring with no results I zip tied the wires to give them the tension they need. The boiler worked properly for a few more months.

Still no follow up or solution from Laars. Here we are one year later from the installation and no one will respond, give suggestions or solutions. I can't stress this enough! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LAARS OR ANY LAARS DEALERS. COMPLETE RIP OFF! THEY WILL NOT HELP BECAUSE THEY CANT Update: They are now sending a new boiler (same model) we'll see if anything changes.

Just had a Laars MFTCW199 combi-boiler installed. Runs quiet, complete space saver from the old unit and considerably more efficient than the old boiler.

Installed a brand new "top of the line" natural gas boiler less than 3 years ago and it has been a nightmare ever since. Last year we went without heat in the dead of winter for over 2 months while waiting for Lars to rectify an issue. One month ago wake up to no hot water and the boiler is SPEWING water everywhere. Bad gaskets lead to bad electronics lead to etc etc. getting parts takes forever. The boiler is still out of commission and our HVAC company can't even get ahold of anyone from LARS in a time of need. Terrible service for a terrible product.

Purchased a Laars Mascot FT boiler a couple months ago and every time I called customer service and engineering, they answered with a few rings and helped us big time.not to mention, there was a miscommunication about the rebate, and Laars worked with the Eco-Rebates Group, to make up the difference! We ended up paying $0 for the boiler.very professional and a local company as well.

Your calls are not transferred to a third party, everyone is in NH. Not sure why there are negative reviews here (everyone is entitled to their opinion), but our experience so far has been outstanding. Would definitely recommend the product, support and value, thanks again!

Really bad experience. We have a brand new system that fails to ignite when it's below 10 degrees We called Laars, they were extremely rude, and condescending. Really unprofessional and uncalled for experience.

I haven't had such an awful experience with a company before but after installing a new heating system with this company we began noticing the it would shut off every month. At first I didn't pay much mind but then it started shutting off 2x a month then 3x leaving us without heat and hot water once again. But the worst part was actually trying to reach out to the company.

First of all was 'greeted' by the RUDEST receptionist ever. She had so much attitude and when we asked if someone could come over and take a look at it she seemed to spit animosity and kept throwing a phone number at me as if I was a complete idiot. The phone number would never even get through and I was already peeved about not being able to shower in my house.

I asked to speak to her 'supervisor' and at first everything was dandy he promised to call back with a solution to our problem in 1- max 2hrs and guess what. it's been 4 DAYS since and no call. NADA. OR voice mail. It makes my blood boil not that just the hot water and heat is gone BUT to have such awful service. It's terrible because this could be a really good company- but the people in the front lines seriously don't reflect that. If you're into terrible customer service, spending hundreds of dollars and no heat or hot water this is the company for you.
