Stay away from this company. We called for a quote after seeing their buy an air conditioner get a furnace free marketing ploy. Basically all this was is a marketing tool to catch your attention. The guy that showed up was very pushy, kept adding accessories to my system saying this would be optimal for my home. At the end the total came to around $11,500. That is including a "free" furnace. BUYER BEWARE

Run far away from this company! Their main goal seems to be to sell you a whole new furnace! We had a guy from them come out for $169 for a service call. The first thing he said was that we needed a new furnace. Then, he told us if we wanted to change the part that was actually broken, it'll cost $1000 to replace and the furnace will still need to be replaced. Instead, we got another opinion and we were able to change the part for $200.

This company is the most expensive in town so go somewhere else to save some money! They aren't experts as they call themselves, just another company buying out all the small ones in south bend.

I have elderly grandparents this winter their furnace went out. After calling a furnace repair guy we were told the blower motor was bad. Unfortunately being a 1982 furnace it was more than likely th hat exchanger was cracked. Grandpa called out home comfort experts who confirmed the heat exchanger w a s cracked so back to square 1 we went with what are we going to do. Grandpa got a call tonight that home comfort will be out tomorrow to install a new furnace for him! I can't thank you guys enough foe the amazing God sent service and gesture!

Each technician who visited our home was very professional and polite. They all seemed knowledgeable and responsive to our questions and concerns. Prices were competitive, and their scheduling was never more than a week away.

My furnace went down over the weekend where temperature was in the teens. I decided to have it service on a Saturday and pay the overtime to have it fix. 40 mins and few hundred dollars later, the outcome is furnace not fix and have to wait till Monday for a part. Ok sure, understandable. A different tech showed up with the part on Monday and additional $600 later, we have heat but the fan is stuck running constantly.

The tech said he'll check for parts and get ahold of me to complete the job and fix the fan. And here we are 2 weeks later.nothing. I ended up calling a different company to finish the job.

Great service. I had water heater replaced, very good installation The plumber explained everything as he was doing the installation. Very fair on the price.

Wow. This company has really gone downhill since we purchased our furnace from them 6 years ago. I've purchased the Comfort Club Membership every year, and up until my most recent experience I had the utmost confidence in the staff's overall abilities. This time around I was accused by Shandra of insufficient funds for the first tech's bill (learned from Lauren in accounting that it was an error on the tech's end), the initial tech diagnosed a dirty filter, which it was not, as I then went 3 full days without heat until I finally got CHRIS TOTH, a very professional and competent technician, to arrive at 9:50 on a Friday night.

He properly repaired the true problem, a plugged drain tube, and he is a true class act. The manager Justin is mediocre at best. Aside from Chris, it was a week from hell. Just choose another company!

Wow. Great people from John the salesman, to his boss, to the crew. Great service, and professionalism thru and thru. Dec 30th our furnace died. On Jan 2nd our water heater died. I called a competitor out, without looking at the house he gave me a quote for a new furnace/ a.c. I saw the Home Comfort commercial and decided to call them. John measured the house, measured the windows, did his math.

And explain in detail what our options are. Due to some phone problems on our side, John's boss told John to get the crew out and get the job done. "We will figure out the details later." Which we did. We are overwhelmed with their service. The crew was great, wish I got their names. Courteous, got the job done in a quick manner, expert service. To the company Thank You, and keep up the great work!

My furnace went out and I needed help so I called Home Comfort Experts and they sent over Rick Rodin. Rick arrived shortly after my call and quickly got to work. He listened to what I had already attempted to do and was very informative as he double checked my work. He quickly diagnosed that my control board was bad but was still able to get the furnace up in running for me. Without his help I would have been more frustrated and a lot colder.

I had the pleasure of having Michael vinnedge as my tech for a issue with my heater, I called and he was there quickly, explained everything very well, very cleanly and understanding! For being a new home owner he went above and beyond to help explain and simplify my options I would highly recommend him and this company to anyone! Service: Heating system repair

I work 3rds and got home around 4:30 this morning. It was a little chilly in the house so I turned up the heat and curled up with a blanket to watch a movie. Around 630 I decided it was time to go to bed and got up to realize that the heat in my house had not gotten any better. I messed with my thermostat a bit and it didn't seem like the heater was turning on. Remembered that I paid for a year-long membership with this company, looked up their hours to find that they were 24/7, and called them to let them know that my heater wasn't working and that it was pretty cold in my house.

Since it's getting closer to winter, I figured that this would be considered an emergency service, which in the description it says that they provide. However I was told that someone would contact me around 8:30 to see if they could fit me into their schedule today, as they are booked full. I have a young daughter, an animal, lots of plants, and myself in the house.

Many reasons why I would want this issue fixed quickly. Not to mention, I paid hundreds of dollars for their year long membership. I even tried explaining to the lady that I work search, so it was going to be very unlikely that I would be awake at 8:30 or later, or up by noon which is when I was told they closed today. I'm certainly happy it isn't in the single digits yet!

Maybe I should have been more stern, but to me this seems like a pretty unprofessional way to address someone's heat not working. This is the first time that I've ever had to call them for anything, it's a big bummer that I will now have to waste money calling another company, and paying a higher price to get my heater looked at quickly, after wasting so much money on the membership.

Edit 11/1/2021 Dropping them to a 1 star. Our basement has a large amount of water in it this morning and just figured out their installers didn't connect the humidifier drain line when they re-did the duct work. I would NOT recommend anyone use home comfort. Good thing is they got us taken care of fast, bad thing installers leave a bit to be desired.

Left the water softer valves in diagnostic mode so it wasn't doing anything and didn't reconfigure our Ecobee thermostat to work with the variable speed fan furnace. None of those are a deal breaker, but expect more given the premium prices they charge. In the future I'd probably get competing quotes, but when the air goes out and its 90 degrees it was kind of a quick decision.

My AC stopped working. I am not in the best of health and staying cool is important. Home Comfort Experts responded immediately to my needs and a repair man was out within the hour. He was extremely professional and dedicated to getting my AC up and working. I have now signed a maintenance contract with them. They are efficient and adept at their job. I highly recommend this company.

I received quotes from 5 different heating and filling companies when I needed to replace our entire system. Here's why I chose Home Comfort Experts: 1) they had the best follow up, they did t bother me, but they actually contacted me after the first visit and asked if I had any questions.they showed me that they wanted to earn my business. 2) their prices were very competitive.not The highest, not the lowest. 3) their explanation of what I needed to get the best performance for my investment was excellent.

While most of the companies quoting did a decent job explaining, it was apparent that my salesman (Bryan), really knew his stuff and was professional in working with me. 4) they carry Trane and I wanted to stay with one of the major players.while most systems are built by only a few companies, Trane has a great reputation and warranty. I would do business with them again, their install team was awesome, kept our house clean and kept me informed as to what they were doing.

After the install, they went over everything in great detail with me so I could get the most out of my new system. The install was very clean and everything was setup great.love it. Our house is cooling MUCH better now, actually cooling our upstairs where out old, tired unit that finally failed was just unable to bring comfort to our home.
