Peterman Heating & Cooling

Having replaced two furnaces at my duplex the year prior, I made it a priority to schedule the AC check that was part of my annual memberships. Instead of checking my AC units, the technician inspected my new furnaces. For context, it was above 80 degrees that day and predicted to soon reach near 90. Sure enough, about two weeks later, after not hearing from the "customer experience" team to reschedule and address the confusion, the AC blew on a 90+ night. So, I called Peterman because 24 Emergency Service was also part of the memberships.

I was told it would be NINE DAYS before a technician could come check the unit, take it or leave it. This resulted in having to spend nearly $500 on a stand alone unit because my elderly tenant needed sleep and feared of health issues resulting from the excessive heat. When I called Summers, they stayed on the phone with me and made sure I picked the correct portable unit that would fit the windows in my unit.

They were there 12 hrs later to check the unit and make the repair and gave me the member pricing because they felt awful about my situation. Peterman promise is 24 hr Emergency Service. That does not exist. Their website claims they'll "make it right". That is an outright lie.

They are WAY WAY WAY over priced. All we had done was a shut off valve replaced. The guy only worked on it for about half hour and charged us $345, but was out in his vehicle for probably 3 hours or more. $172 for the actual work and the rest for overhead expenses. Overhead expenses being to keep their business running. And good luck getting ahold of anyone in the offices.

It took over 3 weeks for anyone to call back from scheduling, accounting, membership, or customer service departments. I didn't want to give them 1 star, but had to to submit this review

I get a reply back from a Lauren at Peterman's asking me to send and email with my address. I sent the email 11 days ago and still not had a reply back.

After receiving my estimate today it is clear to me how they can afford to constantly run television or radio ads. The amount they charge for basic plumbing issues is not within reason and we'll above that of their competitors. Based on my recent experience, I can tell you that the Peterman Brothers are not putting their money into hiring employees with people skills and good customer service.

Word of mouth has always been the best form of advertisement, but after seeing many negative reviews similar to mine it is even more clear to me why they are spending so much on commercials. In closing, please do you your own research about hiring this company, but given today's shenanigans I would rather hire the Mario Brothers.

It's under my husbands name Michael Page we have had you service dept out here 6 times now and it still isn't working right I'm about done with the whole thing it's going to be in the upper 90 s today and yesterday it got up to 87 in my house theis is a brand new unit and A coil and still doesn't work right you need to fix it now or replace the unit because it must be a lemon or take it out I'm done. UPDATE: You guys keep claiming that you "aren't foundational experts ". It doesn't take a foundational expert to see that something is collapsing and use wisdom to tell your customer about it before installing heavy objects on it that will collapse a floor! Not once! Not once! Did you offer to come out and even check how bad the floor was sinking in when I called to complain about this issue.

Not a single time. You clearly don't care about your clients. Then when I called you out on your shady business dealings. I ( a paying customer who is paying almost $10,000 ) was blocked by you guys on social media! That's how you do business?! Shameful! This company is ran by conmen who have the nerve to do motivational speaking seminars about "integrity ".

When they are morally bankrupt and have zero integrity whatsoever lol (Original Review ): DON'T GO WITH THEM. YOU WILL REGRET IT. AND IF YOU DO, MAKE SURE BEFORE HAND THAT YOUR FLOOR IS STABLE. BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE AND WILL INSTALL RIGHT OVER IT, AND THEN YOUR FLOOR WILL COLLAPSE. I reached out to peterman brothers to get a new AC and Furnace installed.

They were running a promo for buy a AC unit, get a free furnace. The sales rep came out, Inspected everything, Closed me and my wife on the sale. And booked the work for the next day. (Awful quick, In the state of Indiana, you have 3 days to back out of a contract. I almost wonder if them booking you the next day is to lock that in?! ) Several technicians came out to do the work.

My floor in my utility room before seemed to be slanting somewhat downwards, They installed the units. And after they did my floor completely sunk in, In my utility room and in my bathroom next to it. I had several contractors come out to quote the work. They all told me that the floor sinking in was starting to occur somewhat prior to peterman installing the units, And that there is no way that peterman did not notice or see the floor sinking in when they removed the existing units. Peterman installing the units made the floor sink in even further.

And now I have foundation issues. They saw the floor was sinking in, Wanted a quick sale. And decided to install it anyways. I was also promised vent cleaning services with the install, never happened. Two of my rooms do not get the full heat and cooling that the others room do. They are quick to book the install to lock you into the project, But then when I asked about vent cleaning, I was told they are suddenly months away from that.

Which is a service I need done! I made several attempts to reach out to them to resolve the issue. Often going days without contact back while trying to juggle multiple contractor quotes. They reached out to me today 5/2/2022. And basically said they aren't liable. MY FLOOR IS SINKING IN. Even in the manufacturer booklets (THAT THEY GAVE ME ) it talks about how the areas around the foundation need to be examined for sturdiness etc.

Before install. None of that was done. They dont want to do anything to fix the problem. Its plain common sense. You dont put a furnace on a floor that can fall through. You let your customer know! That doesnt take a foundational expert to figure that out! Horrible company. I will never go with them ever again for anything.

I'm very disappointed with Peterman's I had scheduled a day to get my water softener fixed but because they had too many emergency calls (people paying a $100 for a service now). They said they had to reschedule, I would under if I just made the appointment that day, but this appointment was made 3 weeks ago.

There's something about owning a home that causes you to have an immense fear that the sound you just heard is actually a massive money pit opening up. Peterman has brought us some piece of mind though and we love working with them. We had them come to check out our AC and the team was prompt, super nice, and took great care of us. I have been really impressed with their commutation which makes booking them to come out and follow-up near seamless. We opted for a yearly plan with them so that we can keep on top of things throughout the year. Wouldn't go to anyone else!

I woke up a few days again to a gurgling sound in my toilet as I was taking a shower. I didn't think much of it, thought it was a clogged drain from hair, I have long curly hair. Come to find out my sewer is clogged. I called on Sunday. My mom swears by this company. Someone could have come out but I waited until Monday morning. The gentleman were very nice. Educated me along the way and made sure I understood what was happening and why they were doing what they were doing. I've got roots in the line and old clay pipes going out to the sewer line.

I was offered a great deal with good financing. They will be starting work within 48 hours. Thank god for Petermans. It feels good to have a company you can trust that's honest and explains how things work. Best of all, they do it all: Air conditioning, plumbing, electric, HVAC, water heater. This could have been a bad day but I feel relieved.

I've used these guys several times; unfortunately on my part. They did a plumbing inspection and an AC replacement for me and I was very pleased. So I contracted them to do a gas line for my grill on my patio - bad idea. Took them over a week to contact us back. That's assuming they do contact me

Super professional service from Aaron who took care of my Geothermal issue. He dug in and found the real problems instead of trying to sell me a new unit which another repair company was trying to do. Saved me a ton of money. Signed up for their maintenance plan. Highly recommended.

Ask to see their plumber's license. They mostly don't have one. Sloppy work, never fixed my problem and charged a lot. Get a real plumber.

Called them to replace my kitchen sink, faucet, and angle stop. Had all of the replacement parts necessary. The correct sizes and everything already on site. They quoted my 20 year old daughter $3700 and told her they would need to knock out the back wall of my house to install the plumbing. My husband and I installed it in under two hours and didn't need to knock out any walls. Thanks for showing your true colors. Will never recommend or use.

This company has a strong and effective appointment and communication system. today one of their technicians (Russell) did us a huge favor by finding a break in our main drain. He was here for a completely different reason and it would have gone undetected for far too long without his discovery. Thank you Russell!

2 stars because their employees do good work. Also 2 stars because their work is extremely overpriced. I paid $30 a month for someone to show up at my house twice a year to "check" furnaces and ac units. Definitely not worth it. They give "membership" discounts on other services, but their prices are so ridiculous, i.e. you save $30 on this $450 job to install a faucet. Seriously, no joke $450 to install a faucet.

Last straw was a quote of $300 to install a single ball valve ($7.00 part) and job would have taken maybe 1/2 hour. Also, on top of that they wanted me to be the one who coordinated entire job with water company. What a joke. Save yourself some money and hire someone else.

Peterman twisted my arm into signing up for their service plain to save me money, which was a gaint joke. They quoted me very close to $5,000 to replace a well pump and pressure tank with a 1 year warranty. I declined quickly called another highly rated family company in the tippecanoe area, that company changed out the pump and pressure tank for $1,890.00 and gave me a 5 warranty on all of it! Do not use Peterman!

Our air conditioning went out yesterday and the house was miserable. Yesterday morning, I called a few companies, and they were the only one that were able to come out the same day. I knew that we were getting ready to enter a period of a major heat wave, and we needed to know what was going on ASAP. We were told that they would be there at some point that day, and would call us before the technician came.

We got a call about 45 min before that he was on the way. Patrick was awesome. He find the problem right away and gave us a couple of options on how to fix the problem. He was professional, courteous, and the best part, our house is cool again! We definitely recommend.

I called a few contractors before I got a hold of Peterman and they did one heckuva job and installed a complete new air conditioner and all new ductwork and a new forced air unit. I dealt with John Spears, he was outstanding to deal with - absolutely no problems. I thought the price was fair and they did the job three days later and they knocked it out of the park! I'm super happy with the experience. Thank you John, I greatly appreciate it!
