Young lady from AMI came out to troubleshoot my garage furnace. It turned out the board was fried. AMI wanted to charge my over $600 to fix. I did pay the $110 fee to have them come out. I actually expected that. The tech was superb. No issues there. However, the quote was absurd. I did a small bit of research, purchased the board from a local supplier for $103 (AMI quoted me $400 for the same board).
I replaced a couple wires, installed the board and all was fixed. I understand that not everyone could do this, but seriously. $600+ to fix a $100 board. I would suggest getting some other estimates before hiring AMI.
