Not accommodating in the least bit. I needed a simple question answered about how their techs wired the thermostat. Their service desk refused to take my contact details and have a tech call me. Instead wanted to charge me for a tech visit to answer a 5 minute question. That is not customer service. I called the local Trane Supply house and their techs graciously answered my question.

Customer service is about helping the customer. They did not and as such I will take my business elsewhere. Followup after reading the response below it is clear they did not understand that I tried to get the service desk to take my contact information and have tech call me. They would NOT they would only arrange for a service call.

Great service. Prompt, competent and reliable. If you are looking for a plumber in the valley, look no further. They showed when they promised and did the job right the first time. The plumbers were polite and got the job done quickly. I would highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

Needed a question answered about how their techs wired my thermostat. The service mgr. refused to have a tech call me and instead wanted to charge me for a tech visit. That is not customer service. Instead I called the local Trane Supply house here in SLC and in 5 minutes had my question answered and more. Customer service is about helping the customer.

The new Hartman owners were not - Paul (now retired) whom came out to my house years ago would not pleased at how they are treating their repeat customers. Time to find a new HVAC.

I was very pleased with the level of service given by Shane P. He was right time for a early morning appointment and took the to explain everything to me and help me understand the issue with my air conditioner. He fixed everything and the pricing was more than fair. He even checked my furnace filter and when it turned out to be dirty he replaced it at no charge. He went above and beyond what I expected! I will definitely use their services again!

Called Hartman to come have look at my furnace that was not properly heating. They came out and charged me $120.00 to tell me they couldn't fix the blocked part without extensive cleaning charge. They also, quoted 250.00 for broken part that I priced out at $27.00 online plus another 240.00 for labor to install the part that literally takes 5 minutes to replace. Stay away from these guys! I fixed everything in literally 15 minutes and saved hundreds of dollars

I have suggested Hartman Heating / CSI to several of my friends, and to my brother for a new furnace A/C system, and my Mother for a new system as well. Recently they did a project for me at my home, and were several thousands of dollars less than a competitor. The work was done in a timely manner, and the after the sale customer service was top notch. I will continue to suggest them to any of my contacts that ask for a referral to a high quality contractor. SB

If I could give a lower rating I would. Avoid these guys like the plague, they give bad plumbers a bad name. They showed up charge me $150 to "diagnosis" a problem and then gave me an estimate of over $350 for repairs. Their "Plumber" said he didn't know how to work on the problem and that the pump needed to be calibrated, he might as well told me "framuss" needed replacing.

I called another plumber and with the parts, cleaning out the problem and service call I paid $90. Hartman told me that my plumber wasn't a journeyman plumber but you have to be according to Utah law. I ave used Hartman for years but something has changed and they do not care about service anymore.

Now they have been purchased by comfort solutions they are not good. I called just after Christmas saying my heater was making noise. They said they couldn't come until the 9th of January. Then on New Year's Eve day my heater stopped working. The guy they were going to send reassured me he fixes heaters. I said don't come if you can't fix it.

I know what the problem is - every five years in need a new motor. He came and said he doesnt have that on Hs truck and would have check on Monday because he can't get the part until then. but too busy to install until the 9th but maybe on Monday. A $200 service fee. It was 40 degrees inside with space heaters - I called someone else and they got the part and fixed it on a sat for a good 30% cheaper than Hartman would have and no freezing waiting.

Then I got three calls for payment of the service on Monday. At least they lowered the charge to $99. I paid by credit card asked for a receipt and they sent a bill showing I owed $99. Then I had to call and email them to send a receipt. They did. Will never use them again.

We hired Hartman to install a ductless system in our master bedroom. The traditional cooling system we have doesn't get the room cool enough and with a pregnant wife, we were dying this summer. When I talked to the sales rep, I told him specifically that we needed something that would get the room in to the 60's. He came out, gave us 2 options and we chose one.

He ensured us that the system would do the trick. Once installed, we tried it out for several nights, quickly realizing that the system installed had no where near the power to get the room to anything cooler than maybe 73 or 74 (which is basically room temperature as our normal AC already was capable of that). I called the company and they sent a repair man.

He said the system was working fine and that it wasn't designed to take the room to a temperature below 72. I told him that they had installed the wrong system and I needed it removed ASAP, he told me a John would be calling me, we waited a week and no phone call. I called the company again and told the secretary the whole story, she said she would have John call me.

We waited 4 days and no phone call. I called the company a 3rd time and the secretary once again told me John would call, by this time, I'm fuming. Finally, someone did call me (the sales rep) and told me he'd get back to me.and big surprise, we heard nothing. Now 2 months later the company has completely ignored us, the installed the wrong system, they took $5500 from us and committed fraud.

Our next steps are charging back the credit card and filing a claim in small claims court. Don't make the same mistake we did - go with another company! We still haven't received a call from the mysterious "John"

Stay away from Hartman! Had the furnace replaced a year ago, then noticed during the summer when the air conditioning was turned on, cold air coming out from every side of the ducting They finally came out to "fix" it. Put tape on the outside where they could easily reach (small inclosure under the stairs)- I thought the problem was fixed. Nope. Called them this summer, the technician informed me that the ducting tape would not hold, so he applied caulk to the inside edges where he could reach, but said the only way to fix it properly would be to take it apart and seal it. Ok, so why wasn't it done properly in the first place? Just plain lazy, sloppy and incompetent workmanship. Stay away from Hartman.

Hartmann installed a new furnace and central air for my 100 year old home in September 2014. They provided the same for my parents a few years before and they were thrilled, not only with Hartmann's product, but their service. In an effort to be a responsible consumer, I got three bids. Over the years, I've learned it's best to not pick the cheapest bid nor the highest.

This happened to be the case with Hartmann.and my advice to myself has served me well. I have nothing but good things to say about all the people I met during the process. The salesman, Marc, was very thorough and explained things to me in an easily understandable way and was knowledgeable about the cost and the products.he's great to work with. The installers were amazing.what a hard working crew!

The follow-up service from the office, and from Lo (sp?), especially, was both gracious and generous. I'm really picky about who I have doing work on my house. Hartmann has now made my list of trusted businesses that I will call again in a heartbeat and not feel the need to get other bids. My only regret is that I just found out today that they do plumbing and construction and I missed out on an opportunity to give them more business fixing a major sewage problem I had at my house in December.

I had some initial problems with how my financing account was set up, but in the end the company and I reached a resolution. Also, the installation services were great. The technicians were very quick, friendly and knowledgeable. One of them even called me the next day to check on the system and ensure that I was satisfied with the installation.

I have used Hartman twice in the past 6 months, once for a new furnace and again for a new water heater. Both times I received EXCEPTIONAL service! Mark Nicholas was extremely helpful in getting my information to the office quickly, and Rachel called me first thing to schedule an appointment. I also received a call 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time, just to let me know the technician was on his way and would arrive a little bit early.

The technicians took the time to explain everything about how our new furnace and water heater worked and when to change filter, get service, etc. Absolutely professional company!

Hartman used to be a great company with excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case as they are a bewildering bureaucracy now where even getting connected to the right person for a bid or proper service follow up requires numerous calls, poking, and prodding on the part of the customer. Painful. It seems in parallel that they have branched out from HVAC to numerous other businesses. plumbing, roofing, electric, general construction, etc.

My recommendation, find another HVAC company. Given how poorly they are managing their core HVAC business these days, I can't imagine what a disaster these add-on areas are.

I spent $18000 with them buying 2 new heaters and 2 new air conditioners. They had replaced another heater for about $4000 a year before. So a lot of money had been spent with them. John came over and spent 3 hours showing me how I could convert my fireplaces to gas. When the technician came, he immediately said no way it couldn't be done, which is what all the other companies I had asked had said.

Then when I thought I wanted an air filtering/cleaning system, he came over and gave me a quote for $3000 and set the date when it was to be installed. Because I had complained about the prior incident, I guess, they didn't show up even though again they had spent a lot of my valuable time and gave me a full bid. When I called to ask why the no-show, the receptionist and those in the background, actually started all laughing and said you think we would actually come to your house and do that for you?

I have never had an experience like that before in my life. And I had been a loyal customer for years. I was so stunned. I asked to talk to the manager in that call and a follow up one and they wouldn't put me through.

So I had them come do a service tune up with our home we bought our AC didn't work. These guys probably did fine servicing it but told me I had to pay about 1,000+ and that my Heater had a crack heat exchanger so 7,000+, and that my new warranty probably wouldn't help any to repair my problems. I did not believe because I had a home inspection before buying and I called another heating company under home warranty and they fixed the problem it for just the service fee from the warranty and the fan then froze and they are billing the warranty only 250+ and got that fixed for us.

So from this experience Hartman was over estimating a job, discounted my home warranty, and to be careful working with them. Please be aware of what they did or didn't do. I posted this because with the other reviews it sounds like I wasn't the first and I am disappointed.

Used their groupon for a furnace tune up. There tactic is like a used car sales man. Get in the door somehow and then try to upsell. Including upselling a 1.00 filter to over 20 dollars. I would not recommend using them. They may do good plumbing work but I do not like the way that they conduct business and will not utilize them again.

Do Not Use Unless You Are Made Of Money And Have No One Else To Give It To! Really - I would give them zero stars or even negative five stars if possible. The Tech that came out to "diagnose" my furnace was talking about replacement before he ever walked into my equipment room. Naturally, after a very thorough inspection, and much head shaking and grumbling, he revealed that yes, in fact, my distressed furnace was a pile of scrap.

He very nicely presented me with a $4,500 estimate to replace it with an inferior unit. While he was on my property, I obtained a telephone quote from a better provider for an equivalent replacement for $2,500. Hmmm, what to do? Well, luckily I was mowing my grass and noticed that my exhaust pipe was not seated correctly for this furnace. Thirty seconds later, I had the pipe back in position and the furnace now works perfectly.

Obviously this firm teaches its employees to sell furnaces, not perform the repairs for which they are being paid. I did receive a service fee refund from Hartman, but I would strongly recommend not using them since they are clearly focused on making money, not solving homeowner issues.

I have had Bruce and Sam from Hartman here all day installing my new furnace. I have had to hire and work with companies offering these services for more than thirty years in my job and believe me when I found a good one I hung on to them. Hartman would have been my guys. From the start on Tuesday to the finish today, they have been the best. Thanks so much.

Absolutely wonderful! Not only did they show up when they said they would, they assessed the situation, told me what was happening, what was needed and how much it would cost. They got the job done immediately and, my most favorite part, they wore booties over their work shoes so they kept my carpets clean! Everyone, including the receptionist on the phone, was super friendly and professional. I highly recommend them!

These guys are great. We were quoted $750 by Neering Plumbing and Heating and we knew that quote was ridiculous. Hartman completed the same job for $150! Hartman was courteous, quoted us an arrival between 11am and 1pm and arrived at 11:30 (saving us hours of waiting around), and took care of our water heater. We will definitely use these guys again.

I had an opportunity to use their service during this summer. After getting countless bids for an A/C installation, Hartman came onto the top of my list. It was a somewhat frustrating process searching for the right people to do home improvement works. Despite some early difficulty with the initial bidding, they quickly remedied the situation and the owner Paul Hartman even came in person to reassess the bid.

They were very professional and offered multiple solutions along with pricing to our airflow problem. All of the plans were very detail and product availability was informative, we went with one of the choice with imported equipments and they were able to get that for us despite a shortage in the market. During the installation, there were always crew members and a supervising staff around to make sure everything goes as planned, plus a clean debris free setup to avoid any clean up hassles for us.

It only took about two days to finish installations for two rooms. There was a missing part in the stock equipment, and they were able to replace and fix it within a few day. All of the installations are warranted for a year. Hartman definitely did some great work for us and we will go back to them for sure when we have HVAC problems in the future.

These guys did a fabulous job for us when we had our new high efficiency furnace installed. They came as a recommendation from the Green Living Center and a a wonderful recommendation they were. From the initial sales visit where they went over every detail of our install and the products we would need to the day of the actual install Dan was right there for us.

He was not the installer, but he stopped in and checked on the installers from time to time to make sure the job was going as planned. They did a great job and as a result I have sent several more customers to them.
