In May 2022 I called the company for service for my furnace and AC in order to take advantage of a $79 special charge. I explained that I was not having any problems with the unit, but since we are elderly, I wanted to make sure I have no problems with my AC this Summer. The service man Mike arrived and after examining the unit explained the charge would be $395. (Note: the equipment was 4 years old and purchased from them as were many other appliances in our home) He did not explain exactly what the charges would cover.
I complained about the charge because we were not having any problems with our AC. He said that he needed to go to the hardware store to replace his supply of free-on. When he returned he said that he spoke with someone at R&B and would reduce the charge to $295. The next day we discovered our AC was not working. The service man they sent, Josh, examined the unit and discovered there was a hole in the coil with a $1600 service charge to replace it.
When doing just that he found a small nail that could have caused the problem. It is a mystery of the origin of that nail. I am a very dissatisfied man and I would like to inform customers that you may be charged more than the price quoted to you. Because of many doubts I will never use this company again. -VR

R&B serviced my heat pump in late fall 2021, the unit was producing a large noise when defrost cycling. After paying almost $600 for charging system, capacitor replacement and special dye to seal any leaks the problem still occurred. I contacted tech who said the noise was normal. I recorded the noise and sent it to him and he said they need to service unit again.
They came out and said they would need to order a part and would return the next week. The repair would cost $240/hr in labor plus they wanted $149 for the service call on the unit they never repaired the first time. When I questioned the charge I received a text from the tech to find another contractor. No call from R&B and they wouldn't return my call. Please take their advice and find another contractor.

Our furnace went out. I called recker and boerger to come out and service my furnace. They sent out a salesman to our homeless ask for repairman.my husband who is blind was home at the time.stated it needed to be replaced.sent me a quote on my phone and scheduled a installation the next day. The next day they showed up I asked about paper work invoice something!
The service guy said he didn't deal with it. They would send it over.i called and called. Still the office unprofessional! Installation done. bill more than I agreed on. No freaking paperwork still. Who doesn't get an invoice, brochure something? I paid the amount. After my husband was told when I was calling for my invoice.they would pull it out.
Please if your elderly or handicap.pass on them! Their slick office people. Expect you to pay for something with out a outline or detail receipt. No paper work on the 5,100 furnace.nothing and was rude because I kept asking. Im really sick on this whole thing. I knew this was pricey. I paid for professional people for a peice of mind on what I was getting and what I was paying for.please heed my warning.pass on them

A total ripoff. Called to get service on my water heater. Which I had purchased from them. They informed me the charge to just have a technician show up was $250. Are you kidding me. I told the phone rep I'd find someone cheaper. Their rate is way out of line. I then called the company that services my ac and furnace. I renewed my annual service agreement for $219.
This includes 2 tuneups. Trip charge waived. And 15% off all parts and labor. They came, made repair and I paid $66. So for $285 I got a year's worth of service. Rather than$250 for 30 minutes. Don't know why anyone would call them for service. Stay away from Recker and Boerger.

Stopped in at R&B in Montgomery to get pricing for a complete appliance package. Was made to feel like I was bothering the salesman. They were not busy, no one else in the store. He did not feel the need to get up from his desk to show us anything, even when I asked for examples/questions about things. He just kept looking in his book on his computer and printing out sheets (which that was appreciated).
When we went over to look at the dishwashers which you are not visually able to see from the sales desk -- he yelled from the desk a question to us.as opposed to getting up and coming over to talk. When we went back to finish up about some other items I asked for an additional printout and he now acted as if printing an extra piece of paper was too much. I think I will take my $15K elsewhere.

This is my first time posting a Yelp review. R & B was my trusted HVAC company for 11 years. I have a heat pump that had been blowing cold air (when in heating mode) and I scheduled a diagnostic today. First diagnosis: low refrigerant due to a leak: $450 plus $100 for dye to do a trace. Potential cost to repair: $2,500. Second diagnostic: a faulty valve on outside unit.
Cost to replace: $1300 "if we can find the part and if we do it will take 3-4 weeks to replace." So I receive a quote for an entire new system. I asked "Can the outside unit be replaced?" "We don't usually do that." "But it is possible?" "Will have to ask with the owner (which tech did and the owner would NOT talk to me before the tech called me back." Cost to repair: $3,050.
I called to get a second opinion. Faulty valve. Cost to replace: $329.00. Time to receive part: 3 to 5 days. Part located while on site from the manufacturer. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They could have broke my bank.

I'm only giving two stars because Dan the guy who came out today to do a check up on my furnace was very nice. After the service I tried to use my Recker and Beorger dedicated store card to pay but it was declined. Dan proceeded to tell me that there was a minimum limit of 500 to use the card. I told him I had used it last year and could pay for the service but I wanted to use the card so that it wouldn't be canceled for non use.
I asked him if it was store policy or the bank policy for the limit and he didn't know. After he left I called the bank and was told there was no minimum limit on the card and to call the store and tell them they were running it wrong. So I did. Megan answered the phone and made me feel as if how dare I ask to use the card for less than 500. In her condescending voice she told me that it was the store policy and not the banks so NO I could not use the card to pay for today's services.
That wasn't why I called them. At this point I was no longer interested in paying with the card I had already paid it. I was just doing as the bank asked me to do and let them know they were "running it through wrong". I told her I am speaking nice to you and I would appreciate if you would do me the same curtesy. I explained to her that I had asked Dan when he was here who's policy it was and he didn't know. This is not the first time I have experienced rudeness when calling this business. But it will be my last.

Dave is an excellent salesperson for this organization. He's professional, thorough and helpful. Very knowledgeable and does not pressure you into a decision. Selection is terrific and pricing very competitive. Delivery is prompt and cost for that and setup was much less than expected. Check them before you go straight to one of the big box companies. You will be surprised and won't be disappointed.

I feel I now have enough material for a review. In the past 6 weeks I have had R&B replace 3 central air units. First it was my elderly parents house, then my late father-in-law's house that we rent out, and finally my house. In each case I called Allen, described the situation, got a quote and an install appointment for 1 to 3 days hence. The jobs were done by Steve, Keith, and Mike efficiently and professionally for the quoted price with no upsell.
I also had a very pleasant conversation with Elaine in the office at one point. Everyone in the organization I dealt with was so nice, the jobs were all done in less than a day and the systems are working great. I really like the way Recker & Boerger does business and would recommend them highly.

I went in to look at dishwashers. Immediately I was joined by a salesman, who right away pushed $1000 Bosch dishwashers at me without even knowing what I was really looking for or needed regarding a dishwasher. I finally got a break from him trying to "sell" me one, so I could look, and check reviews, etc. I finally decided on one, and asked about the warranty, which was just a 1 year warranty.
I then told him I need a dishwasher that comes with a power cable that plugs into an outlet. He didn't know if the one I was looking at did come with a power cable or not, so he went and asked the manager. When he came back, the answer was not just a solid no, but that only the Bosch has a power cable, none of the others are capable, and all have to be hardwired in, and went back to pushing the Bosch. WRONG. and I knew that already.
At that point I was done. I went to Lowes, bought a decent enough dishwasher, got the power cable, and installed it myself. The prices are about 10% better than Lowes or Home Depot, but wasn't an issue for me because I get a 10% discount already at those stores. All and all, I'm not so sure I'll go back in the future to look at other appliances. very disappointed.

Needed to get a new electric smooth top range ASAP. R&B had a nice Frigidaire model in the Black Stainless finish I wanted. They were able to get it delivered the very next day. The delivery team was very professional & timely. They made the process simple! We are repeat customers and really appreciate not having to wait for our new range. We will be back DEH, Loveland, OH

Contracted to have a water heater installed. Be ready: they expect full payment before they schedule the job. Technicians showed up wearing masks, soon took them off. Even when they were talking to me in the basement, no masks. I gave them a bath towel to absorb water when they cut the pipe to install the pressure relief valve. The towel got sopping wet, no problem, but they tossed it onto a pile of clean clothes in the basement and soaked all the clothes, then left it there.
A laundry tub was 15 feet away, they could have easily put it in there. They leveled the new water heater with short lengths of copper pipe. I sliced myself when I reached down to remove one of the pieces: I had no idea it was supporting the unit. I had to get another tech back to the house to fix that mess. They left shards of brass and copper all over the carpet in the basement.
I found a mangled pressure relief valve on the floor after they left and I saw that the valve they installed was also mangled. I know where all the shards came from: I just hope that an hour spent vacuuming the carpet is enough to keep us from getting stabbed by little shards of metal. I called R&B and was transferred to the line of someone named Boerger, I left him a polite message to please call me back about these issues. Two weeks later, no call. Not surprised.

Well if I could I would definitely give this place 0 stars. The sales aspect was fast, we purchased a fridge, dishwasher, stove. Paid set up delivery for Friday. They said installation would be no problem at all and they'd send mike or Ed. Friday comes they call and are 5 minutes away, lovely quick panic to clea. Out the fridge. They show up and start with the fridge, old out and new in.
Next the stove. Old out new in. Dishwasher. well he looks, then says something unintelligible then grabs his phone and makes a phone call and talks with him about the water line. Says there's not enough room or "play" in the water line for him to install. Then says he can't hook up the fridge water line because it's not a copper pipe.
We call the store and he speaks with someone there for a while and then says he won't install and they're giving us a credit for the install for the refrigerator and the dishwasher. Also we would need to call and electrician and a plumber about having them install the dishwasher. We went to this place to buy what we wanted and now sits my brand new dishwasher in the middle of my dining room not hooked up and I don't have ice cause the ice maker on the new refrigerator runs off of a supply line.
I will never EVER buy from this place ever again, the installer kept huffing and rolling his eyes like this was all and inconvenience for HIM! I just paid over 3,000$ for new shit that isn't working to the fullest now. This place is the worst please don't waste your money or time, I know I won't be. Also the installer said he COULD NOT INSTALL THE DISHWASHER CAUSE THE WATER LINE WASNT LONG ENOUGH. Well it's over 3 feet of line underneath he could have used if he would've looked. (See pictures)

On 1/10/2020 I paid Recker And Boerger $1099 to replace my existing water heater. On 1/11/2020 the technician came out to attempt to install the water heater- while attempting to install the water heater the technician broke both of my main water shut off valves. The valves were working previously to him arriving. The technician stated he was unable to install my water heater due to a preexisting recirculation tank- which was incorrect- I don't have a recirculating tank.
He stated he would have a more advanced tech come look at replacement options. Although he broke my valves he still couldnt install water heater. On 1/14 the more advanced technician came out- After looking at what needed to be done to replace my water heater -he stated the job was too big for Roto Rooter. At that point I reminded him that I now have two broken valves due to Recker Berger.
He then stated he would talk with one of the owner Alan Recker to see about the repairs. After speaking with the owner Alan Recker, he now said he could do the repairs and replace my water heater but now they would charge me an additional $900. At that point I asked Alan Recker if they could only do the repairs of the valves they broke. Of course he said no.
He stated he would only fix the broken valves if I paid to have the water heater replaced by them. He refused to call the technician to ask about if he applied a wrench to the valves. He also could not tell me when he would even be able to discuss the valves with the technician. The bottom line is that he would only replace the valves if I paid them almost doubled of what I was quoted. Women BUYERS BEWARE!
They will take advantage of you in a heartbeat! Definitely a case of a scammer company taking advantage of an unknowing Women. Such a headache. I had to pay Roto Rooter to fix what they messed up.

I recently purchased 2 appliances from Recker and Boerger thy have great deals on appliances but the service and installation experience was very disappointing and the manager was tone deaf to handling long time customers complaints I was really disappointed by the lack of courtesy I received and the attitude of we don't care if we don't Make our customers happy.

We had them come out and look at our furnace for our air conditioning and they said everything that we had was junk and we were going to have to pay eight to $10,000. So I called a friend in the business and he fixed our unit for $200 and said everything is fine and warned us of Recker and Boerger's strategies to make you think that all your equipment is garbage and you have to buy all new.
They are nothing but con artists and will try to make you think that your stuff is not usable when really you should definitely get a second opinion because itCould save you a lot of money I would not recommend this company to anybody. Hopefully this helps somebody else out

Unfortunately, my refrigerator went out! I came home to all my food being quite squishy, eek! I was in a bind and needed a refrigerator fast. Home Depot, Lowes, and a few other stores I had checked out-- including Sam's and Costco-- were experiencing back orders due to low stock during Covid19. Some stores would not be able to deliver for about 2 to 3 weeks, while other stores had zero stock.
On a whim, someone suggested Recker and Boerger to me. They had one black refrigerator left in stock that fit mine needed measurements. They also had available delivery for the next day! A quick phone call to the store, as well as a physical visit to the location made the purchase extremely easy. The delivery man took my old refrigerator out and installed my new refrigerator, including hooking up the water for the drink and ice feature.
They let us know a time frame the night before with a text message, and they called 30 minutes prior to their arrival. Overall, it was a very painless process! Pretty thankful for Recker and Boerger! I worked with a man by the name of Chris. He was very nice and made sure we were taken care of.

Doing business with this company has been VERY disappointing. The OWNER treated us poorly and was UNPROFESSIONAL! Here is what happened: We went into the store, and purchased a counter depth refrigerator. THEIR employee gave us the receipt for said refrigerator (we double checked the receipt to make sure it was the correct one we paid for, and it was!) BUT, THEIR EMPLOYEE actually loaded the wrong model onto our trailer. (We were moving the next day out of state) When we got to our new home, we realized the model was NOT counter depth, and we paid for something (and the receipt reflects the model we SHOULD have been given) WE DID NOT RECEIVE!
The owner's response was- "Did you check the serial number?" Um, no, that wasn't our job and your employee loaded it onto the trailer which made it impossible to check a serial number, but why are you blaming your customer? That was YOUR employee's job to make sure he was loading the correct item! WE CHECKED OUR RECEIPT and it matched!
Why was it out responsibility to check the model number? The owner stated that it isn't his problem, and if WE PAY to get the refrigerator back to him (from FLORIDA!) He will "think about what he can do." No apology, no wanting to make their mistake right. Just "sorry about your luck." THAT is how this company does business. Go someplace else! Spread the word. We are!

Recker and Boerger may have some great deals on the products, however, the installation of the products is another story. Brought a new home and had inspections, purchased a dishwasher, fridgerator, and microwave from Recker and Boerger. The installation of the refrigerator was not connected properly. It leaked and ended up bowing the floor and now it has to be replaced.
At first they asked if we had matching floor to replace it. I didn't install it or purchase the floor it was installed when I bought the house. Weeks go by they send someone to look at the damaged floor and later they finally say, they are not at fault, the damage is not in front of the sink or dishwasher, they weren't here when we mopped up the water or reconnected the water line from the improper installation.
This is inadequate customer service and I highly recommend not to have anything installed by Recker and Boerger. I guess the saying is true you get what you for and the representative of the company which we spoke with proved this to be true.

We try to shop local when we can so we purchased an A/C system from this company less than 4 years ago and the compressor just broke and needs to be replaced. The unit is under warranty but they are still charging us $1200 to fix it and they could not fix it for 4 days! The unit should have lasted much longer. And the customer service person was a young teenage who was NOT helpful and very short on the phone. Do not use this Recker & Borger!

Went in for a dishwasher and was kindly greeted by Hank. We explained that we had trouble getting an install since we had hardwood floors in our house and the floor under the dishwasher was lower than the hardwood. It's a quarter inch difference but Costco made two attempts and failed. Hank gave us simple instructions to measure certain spaces to determine if we really had a problem.
We came back. Hank said there was no problem. We gave our price range. No pressure. We found a great deal. The install team was awesome. We will be back to buy from Hank again. Thank you for great service

I have been making several purchases from the Montgomery location of Recker and Boerger. I purchased the items from Robert he was very nice I even purchased my dishwasher without even going to the location just asking for a scratch and dent or a clearance item in the color that I needed and due to COVID-19 I never went to the store I paid on over the phone and received my delivery it was very wonderful

Purchased Frigidaire Refrigerator, Dishwasher and Gas Range from Recker & Boerger just over a year ago. The sales process was inflexible. To get the range that fit my needs, the package included a microwave that wasn't needed. Take it or leave it! At that point I should have walked. My mistake. Delivery presented more issues and ultimately late delivery poor communications and additional expense.
It became clear that Recker and Boerger is a sales organization without customer focus. The movie "Tin Men" comes to mind. A month ago the Ice Maker failed and prompted a call hoping to speak with a service department. No answer so I left a message that went unanswered. Last week i reached a human and was told Recker & Boerger does not service the brands they sell.
That was a surprise. Read all the reviews. Note the lack of response to negative feedback vs positive comments. That speaks volumes. Don't shop Recker and Borger. Last week I reached a human thru one of their

Sent my wife shopping for a dishwasher the other day. After a few stops with no luck she landed here. Salesman Tom seemed bothered by all her questions but she got them answered and was satisfied enough to decide on a purchase on Tuesday 9/30/19 paid CASH in full, delivery scheduled for Friday 10/4/19. Got a call from them today, Wednesday 10/1/19. Tom informed her that the dishwasher that he sold us was actually out of stock and on back-order. Unhappy with the other options available to us we decided to get a refund and look elsewhere. Tom told her to come into the store for a full refund, no problem.
Upon arrival to the store not even an hour after the call she was informed that they were not able to refund cash even after she was told to come in for a refund. Our option became either, 1 wait for a check to be mailed to us at some point or 2 come pick up a check in-store on Friday or 3 drive to Tri-county to the office to get a check more quickly.
I understand there may not be cash on hand at all times for a refund but you can't write a check on the spot for a refund? As a business owner myself this is just terrible business practice. We were planning on replacing all of our kitchen appliances by the end of the year, we still will, but not from here! Side note, Eric the store manager did help somewhat to get the check to the store faster for our refund.

Absolutely will not use again. Used for their AC service for a few years in a row because of coupon pricing. Last time, the tech who arrived said there would be a significant upcharge because the air handler was in the attic space. The company never charged this fee before. Very fishy. Even if he was being legit, it was an unjustified charge. Accessing this space for maintenance (not repair) does not require actually crawling in the attic to change the filter or check the pan and drain; it can be done while standing on ladder, which I provide. Other companies do not assess such a fee, and those will be the ones I use in the future.

My grandmother's refrigerator was brought today. It was suppose to be brand new *bot scratch and dent. When it arrives it looked as if it was used in a demolition derby. having dents all over it. Some of the dents were very large. I called the store and spoke with the sales manager. Instead of an apology, offering to honor the same price or discount a different model, I was told that we could not get another refrigerator at that price and that it would cost 'twice as much to get another one. Basically, take the one the guys brought or pay a lot more.
The delivery men told me that they bo longer unpackage the items at the warehouse to check for damage prior to delivery and they never know what the product will look like until they get to the purchasers residence. I've never had such a horrid experience. Judging by the 2.5 star overall rating, I'm not alone. I will tell everyone I know to go elsewhere. By the way, this was the Montgonery road location in Montgomery Ohio, near Kenwood.

On July 25 we ordered a new dishwasher and were told that it would be installed on August 1. We were told that we would be receiving telephone calls to confirm the timing of the installation. After receiving no calls I contacted Recker and Boerger and was told that I "mis understood" the delivery date. Not true. My wife and I were both present at the purchase and heard the same date.
The store manager has now told us that the dishwasher was never ordered from the manufacturer. A totally different story. So bottom line we are stuck waiting and additional week for the installation. Terrible customer service at best. Please look elsewhere when purchasing appliances.

Bought a new dishwasher Tuesday Eric the sales man was excellent I bought a nicer on than I intended. Opted to pick it up and install it myself (not a good idea pay for delivery and setup) got everything installed to find it wasnt working. Called the store on Thursday thinking I was in for a fight and they couldn't have been easier. They said "we can get you a new one on Saturday".
They bring out the new one in the window they promised find out the solenoid was bad in the old one. I understand sometimes electronics can just be bad out of the box. Juan and his helper delivering were excellent new one is in and working great. Recker and Boerger will definitely be my first stop for our next appliance need. Great job to everyone!

If a zero star as possible that would be my vote. After a prolonged dishwasher installation with a trainee and multiple re-directions my dishwasher was installed. After running it for the first time unbeknownst to me there was a leak between the connection of the dishwasher in the sink disposal. The water sat under the sink and subsequently destroyed the hardwood floor in my kitchen in front of the sink.
The company has been evasive and difficult to deal with. We had a appraiser from the company out who clearly verbally indicated that it was the fault of the dishwasher and company however the company is Denying any wrong doing yet cannot produce a paper copy of the evaluation. They have now denied any wrongdoing and payment for any of the damages. My simple hope with this post is that no one else uses this company as they are certainly not customer friendly.

Recker & Boerger installed a Goodman air conditioner in my house about three years ago. The unit came with a ten years parts and one year labor warranty. The following summer within the one year warranty period the unit was low on coolant. Recker & Boerger came out and told me I needed coolant and they charged the unit. At this point I thought everything was fine.
The air conditioner slowly became less and less elective to the point we called a service company. We were informed that the unit has a leak and we should go back to Recker & Boerger as the unit should still be under warranty. We called Recker & Boerger and scheduled an appointment. When the techs arrival I explained what was done and showed him the compressor and the air handling unit. 5 to 10 minutes later he advised me that I did need coolant and proceeded to quote me price to charge the unit and pricing to add a die to trouble shoot the problem further.
He did not open the compressor or the evaporator unit to check the for leaks. He did tell me he checked the lines. When I asked him how he got into the crawl space he back tracked and said lines don't leak. Why was he checking the lines then? At this point I felt like all I was going to get from him would be lies. I asked him to pack up his things leave, and I would talk thing over with my wife.
I called Recker & Boerger's service department after the tech left and left a message with the person that answered the phone. Two hours later I called back and had to leave a voice mail. When the service manager returned my call, I explained the situation. She then stated that she needed to talk to the tech and did not know when she could as he had requested of early that day and the entire next day.
Now we know why he only spent 10 minutes looking at my A/C. I called her back the next day and asked if she had a chance to talk to the tech. She said yes and that she could not do any better on the pricing. I again explained that if the first time they came out for the leak they ran the die test everything would have been under warranty. Instead I am thinking the acts of a lazy tech or maybe immoral company policies to push proper repairs off until the warranties expire I am stuck paying for substandard work.
She informed me that she talked to the tech's manager and he said the tech was uncomfortable come out to my house because I was too combative, and they did not want my business. She also stated that the tech was the kindest person she knew. I guess not letting someone screw you is being combative. Also I thought I was talking to the service manager, Am I seeing a trend of deceit here.
If the "Service Manager" did not want my business why did she quote the same number the tech told me. When they order the coolant in I bet they use a part number but they say its not a part so that was not covered by the warranty. I called another company and when they showed up they asked me for the key. What key I asked and they said there were locking caps on the recharge ports.
What an up standing company and nice guy that tells you to go someplace else and lock you out of your own air conditioner. I don't think I can honestly give them a good review. But I can and will let as many people know as possible and contact the Ohio Attorney General's office to help protect others. Michael Matteson

Went in to do some research see if we could find a good washer and dryer. The rep came up to us and I told him just that he basically said okay then sat down. His coworker asked if he was going to help. The guy said "I'm a salesman if they aren't here to buy they aren't worth my time" we were planning to come back when it was closer to our move date and We were literally the only only two people in the store.place is garbage and the employees are worse

I was in a panic to order a new microwave that could replace my built-in unit that died shortly before Christmas. My prior model was no longer available, so it was a challenge to find something that was not too big and not too small. Although we ultimately struck out on finding something that worked, Chris Auel was VERY helpful throughout the process. He is a great representative for Recker & Boerger, and I give him 5 stars for customer service! Thanks again, Chris.

Great place with huge selection of different appliances. If looks don't concern you, the Scratch and dent items are the way to go. Huge 27cu. ft. french door fridge with two scratches was almost $1,000 less than a brand new fridge. They have multiple locations with scratch and dents at each place. I did have to drive further to look at the fridge but well worth it. Hank our salesman was great and was able to bundle price with Washer & Dryer. Free delivery/Free installation and they will hold your item's with only 10% down

DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX/FRIGIDAIRE OR SHOP AT RECKER & BOERGER. Neither company backs up their products or helps out their customers when you get a bad product. In Fall of 2015 we bought an Electrolux Dishwasher from Recker and Boerger. We were told that buying this more expensive model would pay off and we would be getting a much better machine. It started out great.
About 6 months in it wasn't cleaning well. We were no longer using the recommended pods, and using liquid detergent. The liquid detergent wasn't dissolving and leaving a coat on our dishes. Particles were being left all over our dishes. We had to clean a third to half a load by hand every time. We had techs from 2 different companies come out and tell us what we were doing wrong, and nothing helped.
Finally a tech from the second company came in and figured out one of the previous techs put our filter in wrong and a spray arm was full of debris. He wrote it up as hard water deposits. 3 months later after several calls this part got replaced. With a new part replacement in Dec. of 2016 we started over and the dishwasher cleaning degraded once again.
Finally in Aug. of 2017 we started emailing Electrolux and Recker and Boerger. After playing phone tag for 3 weeks I finally spoke with a woman at Electrolux. She wants me to pay for labor to have this machine repaired since it is out of warranty. The machine has a flaw and has never worked right for more than a six month stretch. They want me to pay more money to have this machine repaired since it is out of the warranty period.
I don't think I need to pay for anything since it was never correctly repaired during the warranty period. BEWARE ELECTROLUX/FRIGIDAIRE OR SHOP AT RECKER & BOERGER DO NOT BACK THEIR PRODUCTS. THESE TWO COMPANIES HAVE GIVEN ME THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH AN APPLIANCE PURCHASE EVER. STAY AWAY. I say this after being a loyal RECKER & BOERGER customer of 10 years. I used to buy scratch and dents for my rentals. This is how they treat you in the end.

Shopping for a stainless electric range with a radiant cooktop. A friendly and informative saleswoman helped us but didn't seem to zero in on exactly what we were looking for although she did explain the variance in stainless shades in a way that helped us rule out one model. They had a very limited selection to choose from.

I had a great experience with Recker & Boerger--came in for a fridge--there was a great selection and prices were fair. I agree with earlier comments that the salespeople were not attentive upon arrival but I liked the no pressure environment. Once we asked for help they were able to assist us. They worked with us on price and reduced the already discounted price another $100.
The delivery was seamless--they gave a 1/2 hour window, arrived on time, installed carefully and quickly. After hooking up the fridge they cleaned every surface of it, inside and out and gave us a quick tutorial.

Had a coupon sent to me through the mail for a yearly cleaning service on my furnace. I mentioned my furnace pilot light kept blowing out when the tech arrived After only 20 minutes I was told by the tech I needed a new furnace! (even though mine is only 9 years old). Then the sales pitch began. I told him I'd get back with them. Had a second opinion.
Guess what? no new furnace needed AND he didn't even finish the job I paid him which was to CLEAN my furnace. Seems the problem were dirty hoses that he should of cleaned. What a rip. I'm so sick of these techs trying to rip off consumers. Don't use, and if u do always get a second opinion

Had my blower motor go out on my 20 year old heater, called on the phone told due to age would need a whole new system, my wife called the next day and made an appt. They were prompt in inspection but quoted me $1035 when the national average for the repair was $525. I Then called the company who I had fix my heat pump 5 years earlier called Kellerman Heating and Cooling and gave them the quote from Recker, and asked if they could give a 2nd opinion.
They informed me they would fix it the next day for $435. One of those moments you wished you called the smaller company 1st. I don't want to bore anyone, but the Recker tech contradicted 3 items I was told on the phone. I advise against this company for any heating needs.

We lost our AC this past summer during the hottest week - Recker & Boerger returned out call immediately and had someone out the next day. The price was fair, the installation was smooth and the associate was nice and professional. This past week we'd had some furnace issues. 333 HELP had said we had the wrong blower in our furnace which was why we weren't getting air to a specific bedroom. Steve Winters with Recker & Boerger came out and found the TRUE diagnosis and was incredibly knowledgeable and honest.
We truly valued his opinion without trying to sell us something we didn't need like 333 HELP -! Thank you Steve and Recker & Boerger - your'e the only heating/cooling we'll ever call!

I went in there a few weeks ago to purchase several kitchen appliances. There were no other Customers in the store. One woman sat at her desk looked at me and kept doing what she was doing. Another gentleman was on the phone and when he hung up, he didn't pay any attention to me either. I finally said "Excuse me". I told them I was interested in Some Whirlpool appliances.
They responded that they didn't sell them because they felt they were junky, but would be happy to special order them for me. They eventually realized that I really wanted to spend money and gave me a book with pricing. They wrote in pen. They said they couldn't discount much from the list price. Why would I pay list price from them with Lowes and Home Depot around. In addition HH Gregg will negotiate. BTW they quit installing appliances. Not worth their time.
