I had Greater Comfort Heating and Air out to do scheduled maintenance and was told I needed to replace the reversing valve on the unit. They informed me the cost of the repair would be about 1/3 the cost of replacing the system. They suggested that I replace the system due to the age and they sent over quotes the next day. I decided to get a second opinion and thankfully I did, nothing was wrong with the system.
It has been about a year since they were here, and the system still functions great. I would never let them in my home again and would not recommend them to anyone, thankfully I got a second opinion and did not get ripped off.

Edis and Steve are amazing. Edis came out 4 times and Steve came with him on his last visit to try and see what the issue was with our furnace. Edis did all he could to see what was wrong with our furnace and didn't stop until he figured out what it was. Our heat was out for more than a month and we thought it was the furnace that went out. We had other companies come out before greater comfort, and all they did was try and sell us on a new furnace. Greater comfort came out to try and fix the furnace first before even considering upgrading.
After all diagnostics and everything, they were able to conclude that the furnace wasn't the issue, but that it was the meter from Duke energy that went out. Greater comfort was professional and patient through the whole process and I would definitely recommend them over anyone else. They actually try to help the customer by any means necessary and they're not looking to make a dime off you.

We've used Greater Comfort to maintain our systems for years. They do an outstanding job, and all the technicians are very professional and know what they're doing. They've been available and very responsive, even when we've needed their services after hours. Highly recommend! The tech that serviced our unit quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem - just a loose wire. Positive experience from that perspective. Reason for the poor rating is the cost! $450 to fix a loose wire. Fifteen minutes of effort! I get the weekend charges but I was quoted a $90 weekend off hour fee and $135 / hour. Less than $200 I. understand but another $250 to tighten a screw.
Come on! Update- after posting my review, Greater Comfort reached out and did discount the service. The total cost is still higher than it should be but more tolerable. I can certainly recommend greater comfort for their flexibility and fast service but they are pricey.

They lie and sell your information. They said they could look at what is wrong with my furnace, but actually only sell new ones. Huge waste of time getting transferred to different people and then having to find an actual repair service. The first man also lied and said it was a locally owned and operated place, not a chain. DO NOT TRUST OR USE THEM

These guys are the real deal. I got a brand new system install with new ductwork and the works, and Greater Comfort knocked it out of the park. Their prices were on par with the cheapest I found, and they listened to what I WANTED and designed the system around that. The installers worked fast and in the heat of the summer, cramped in a crawl space.
They also offer a year long labor warranty which states that if you have any mechanical issues with the unit, their guys will come out and fix it free of charge. I personally used this once after the install to fix leaky piping in the unit, which was done quickly and fixed the problem. The reason that I'm writing this review though is because I discovered that some of the ductwork that was installed put my electrical panel out of code, so it would not pass an inspection.
When I called Greater Comfort about this, I thought they would tell me that there was nothing they could do. To the contrary, they insisted that they would come move the ducts free of charge, no questions asked, since their installation was the reason my panel wouldn't pass inspection. It's beyond refreshing to deal with a company that considers customer satisfaction one of its core values, and I will absolutely be using Greater Comfort for all my future needs. They have a friendly staff, great communication, and I 100% recommend them based on my personal experience.

Greater Comfort and Heating has been a life saver this Winter! Our heat went out late in the night a couple of nights ago. I called the next morning and they sent a polite gentlemen out to fix our heat in about an hour, which was great considering my husband had already left for work and I had to work in two hours. The technician was very professional and knew exactly what the problem was within minutes of being there. Luckily it was a minor problem and our heat was back on in no time! Would recommend to anyone looking for a fast, fairly priced, and reliable service! I'm super impressed with their great customer service and how fast they helped us.

After having our mini split install completed on Friday, the humidity remained very high over the weekend. Ed Conley responded today (Monday) quickly by sending Matt Gibbs to diagnose the problem. Matt was very professional, knowledgeable and very polite. He diagnosed the issue quickly and started resolving the problem. Very happy with his service. Highly recommend Matt at Greater Comfort with any service issues.

Called greater comfort during a hot spell was really impressed at the speed of which they had someone out to look at my unit. Several parts had to be replaced, it was a 17 year old unit that had never been looked at before. Brandon was thorough and efficient explained everything he tried to me and got my unit working. I feel this company is knowledge and trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

The service tech showed up half asleep and hung over. He spent LESS THAN 10 minutes on my furnace and another 15 in his car eating McDonalds and doing paperwork. After this I had him look at a furnace that had some water intrusion issues. He wrote up that it had sewage in it and that I should get it cleaned (never said by who. I thought he was supposed to clean it) and then tried to charge me for the full service call.
He didn't even spend 2 minutes looking at it! They tried to charge for 2 Fall Heat Checkups and spent 10 minutes actually working on furnaces. AND the tech told me that his testing of the igniter really doesn't mean anything after the furnace has been running and that I should have scheduled prior to turning on the heat for the fall.

I had a maintence service contract for a property in Florence KY, signed by "SLY". Spring Check was completed two weeks prior to TXV valve becomming non-functional. Upon inspection, evaporator coils were very dirty (no mention at inspection), outside unit was dirty and untouched (tranes are slightly more difficult to pull apart so tech did not complete the work), No check list was provided on work completed, service tech was short and dismissive.
Company claims no liability on poor service maintance, no empathy, and can not provide initaled check of service, or readings from inspection. The Cost to repair 2 weeks after inspection is $600. Quoting on the high side for this service, dispite service contract with the company. I rate the company as lazy, with poor customer service, and no desire to do the work. If you hire them, you must babysit and watch them, otherwise they will not do what is nessisary and cut corners. Do not hire without supervising the work.

We replaced our A/C system with Greater Comfort a year ago and are so glad we did. Called in last night because it didn't seem to be cooling. Cody Beverly came out first thing this morning and fixed what had turned out to be a loose wire. Such a pleasant, professional worker and extremely knowledgeable. Thank you Greater Comfort. I called Angel at 7am today. Within 20 minutes, Zach was at my house and an hour and fifteen minutes later, my AC was working again! I am thrilled! My husband was sure that the AC was toast, but Zach was able to fix it, and it was super affordable. We also signed up for the bi-annual check up, which was a great deal. I highly recommend Greater Comfort. They are kind, helpful, and trustworthy!
