We called for a technician early in the morning on Saturday 6:00ish. We were told as soon as they had an available tech they send them out right away. Our A/C went out and it was scorching! By evening hubby called again and supposedly there were three people in front of us. So we waited out the heat. Not a SINGLE phone call to let us know they weren't coming.nothing.
Now we went with another company who came out here within the hour. Of course, now we have to pay a Sunday charge fee. Had we known that Indoor Comfort wasn't going to service us we would've had the other company come on Saturday. But we wanted to stick to the company we originally called--Indoor Comfort--because we are respectful, unlike this company.
Thank god it didn't work out! After reading the reviews, I see why their business is going down hill. We had a neighbor who had used them (Indoor Comfort) for twenty years, and he recommended them to us. Of course, he hadn't used them in a while (apparently). What makes it so bad, a few months ago they came out to service our A/C (which is only 5 year old unit), a couple of months later it dies? Huh? Now, I'm not blaming them for the A/C going out, but the technician who is here now, asked if we had the unit serviced?
We told him a couple of months ago. He said, "They should have caught this" Which made me a bit upset about that too. I don't know exactly what he and my husband where talking about, so I don't have the technical knowledge to know exactly what part of the unit they were discussing. He asked who serviced us, and we told him Indoor. He didn't bad-mouth Indoor, but stated it was "once" a respectable company and left it at that. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
If they can't even call a customer back out of common courtesy, then I don't feel confident that they will honor and stand by their work either. After the reviews, I see that they don't. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise. (Side note: we will no longer use them for our maintenance checks.)

We have been using Indoor Comfort Specialist for nearly 20 years and we will never use them again after a recent event. We had a plumbing issue on our geothermal loop system in our yard which we fixed after many days of hard work digging up piping and employing a plumber for the final pipe corrections, After we fixed said plumbing leak, we decided it was best to also schedule a diagnostic/check-up from a technician at Indoor Comfort to check the unit in the attic for any problems caused by the prolonged period of no water pressure.
The technician did a very fast check of the unit and pump located in our attic space, spending a total of 10 minutes or so up there to probably make sure the units current specifications regarding water pressure and other things were all adequate, we ran the unit and the unit seemed fine. Finished the job, paid him the service fee and thanked him and etc. 1 hour later we had a flood which we thankfully caught early(within 30 minutes), however, our attic, our second floor, and our first floor all had water damage.
After calling the technician he denied all responsibility, denied ever even touching our pump, and said the earliest we could schedule them to be back out was to be 3 days from then. He suggested maybe we could get a refund on our service fee, but that the flooding was in no way any fault of his own. They also never returned our phone calls and we never received a refund on our service fee for that day.
We're currently dealing with the insurance company to fix the damage caused by the leak. Additionally, when I had my emergency plumber come out to fix the problem with the water pipe connected to the unit, he stated "Who installed this? this was installed incorrectly" Indoor Comfort installed that pipe. These guys have lost our business forever.

DONT EVER USE INDOOR COMFORT SPECIALIST! Suppose to install new ac unit on monday show up for 30 minutes to get parts list, 2nd day show up took old unit in attic out then left, maybe here 2 hrs Day 3 show put new unit in attic and leave saying they need parts. Arrived at 10:45 leave at 3:20. It's always an excuse, we are short handed, no help no one wants to work.
Then you call office and they have different excuse. One guy had death in family the other guy had dentist appoint. Wow oh wow. I spoke to the tech when they show up at 10:45 and he out right tells a lie. We will have it done today. Bunch of liars. I think I know why bad company ph# has 666 in it. I guess I will have to stay home tomorrow to scream and be bossy just to get it done. (Pete)

Terrible place to work, would not recommend any HVAC worker to work here. The "bosses" are disrespectful, offer zero assistance to the their employees. As far as dispatching and scheduling goes, you'll have to make up your own calls and make your own work. All to then not be paid on payday. They hardly could ever pay anyone's paycheck. They also No means of purchasing and obtaining parts for repairs. Vernon Beck, salesman/manager/part-time dispatcher is a snake, who will use aggression to try and dismiss customers who are unhappy with poor service and then toss blame to technicians and former employees.
Entire company is falling apart which is why every single decent worker they had employed has moved on and quit. Stay away from this place, it was my first HVAC job out of college, and was one of the most discouraging things a young motivated technician can go through!

My air conditioner was running but not cooling so my apartment community sent an order to Indoor Comfort Specialist. They got in touch with me right away and told me the estimated time they would be at my house and called an hour beforehand to confirm. Richard was the technician that came out and he was so helpful. He identified the problem, explained it to me (it stems from earlier work that had been done poorly by a different AC company), fixed it, and arranged to have the larger problem fixed. He was personable, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this company and this technician in particular.

Five stars is not enough, it should be 10 Stars! Indoor Comfort Specialist came to my home the day after another well know AC Repair company said my 6 year old AC needed replacing, ( costing $6-9,000). ICS came out and determine the previous AC company failed to look at one section of the AC to determine the problem. Long story short, I needed a small amount of ducting a cleaning. The AC now works better than when it was new. ICS VERY HONEST---HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I hardly ever write reviews, but this place was so good, I had to. I was hesitant about calling without any recommendations, but am so glad I did! Mateo, the service technician, was prompt, polite, and a hard worker. He told me exactly what was needed, gave a recommendation for the future, and didn't try to sell me things that weren't needed. Two thumbs up!

I really wished I had read the reviews for this company before having them come out to try and repair my A/C unit. The technician came out and said my A/C unit had no Freon in it and I need to recharge it. Instead of first testing the unit first to make sure it did not contain any leaks he put 12 Lbs of Freon in it at a cost of $650 (the unit only takes a maximum of 12Lbs).
The unit appeared to work for about 48 hours when once it again it stopped blowing cold air. After calling Indoor Comfort Specialists back at 5:30pm two days after their first visit they wanted to charge me $129 for a after hours call out fee. I refused and they came the following day during business hours. Once they arrived they said my A/C unit had a huge leak in it and all the Freon had leaked out and I would need to get $1200 worth of repairs done to run a new line from the outside unit to the attic, and then they would have to refill the Freon.
In addition they said I need a new capacitor at the cost of $330 and some re-wiring done which would be another $150 or so. I also asked for an estimate what it would cost to replace the whole system and they came back with the ridiculous quote of $7700 (which included a discount for the $650 I had already spent with them). In the end I called another company and they charged me only $1000 to run the new lines and fill it with Freon.
They replaced the capacitor for $100 and did the wiring for $20. Their quote to replace the whole unit was only $4600 compared to the crazy $7700 by Indoor Comfort Specialists. I called Indoor Comfort Specialist to request a partial refund for them not properly checking the system for leaks before filling it to the brim with Freon, but they refused. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE OVER-PRICED SHARKS!

Price gougers! These guys charged me $95 per pound of 401r refrigerant which other A/C companies sell today for between $40-60. I called them thinking this was a mistake as R-22 (older systems use this and it's being phased out) is typically close to $100/lbs. Nope. they just charge twice the amount of most others and its a normal part of their "book pricing." During the same visit they discovered we had a leak in our evaporator coil but could not estimate the repair costs.
A few days later an estimator came out and quoted $2700 without ever checking to see if the coil was under warranty(receipt even said not under warranty - guess it was easier to do this than actually checking and most people don't notice.). Another A/C company came out and ran the serial number of the evap. coil and found it to be under warranty and completed the job for $950. I'm always trying to find a company I can trust and where I don't have to worry about getting raked over the coals.
Thought I had that trust with this company at one point until I started digging a little deeper. Watch out for these guys - they're over priced and didn't do their due diligence in terms of checking on the equipment warranty.

My ac quit working Thursday morning so I called another company to fix it. They came Friday morning and told me I needed a new $11000 ac unit! I called this company and they were here in about 2 hours. They put a part on my ac and fixed it. I am quite pleased and would recommend this company to anyone in need of ac service.

Fair warning DON'T use this company. After hearing them get all the local praise on 1560 the game in town, obviously paid a lot of money for the press, I decided to give them a try as my usual guy was across town and not able to make it that day. I called them up and told them exactly what I needed, all I needed was the thermastat replaced nothing more nothing less.
They sent out a contractor who immediately smelled blood as it was a fairly new house. Guy said he had only one thermastat in the truck, again I had called to tell them exactly what I needed, and this thermastat was going to cost me a total of $375 to get installed. Sweating bullets from the heat, I asked him how much would it cost if i ran a block down to buy the same thermostat.
His answer "$200 at least". Not doing my research I told him to go ahead. Later that day I ran to Home Depot to pick something else up and decided to look to see if I had been had. Sure enough there was my thermostat with a $21.99 price tag right in front of me. I proceeded to call three local competitors in town who all quoted me $100 to get the same installation that these guys had done for $400.
I then called the manager at Indoor Comfort who said and I quote, "If you were to go to the steakhouse down the street wouldn't you expect them to charge a markup for the same steak you could get at the grocery store." Yes I would but not the 20x mark up that indoor comfort solutions wanted to charge, huge disconnect and great way to treat your customers.
Sorry for the narative but I want to get it out there are a hundred local guys in town who a) won't rip you off b) try to make you feel dumb about it and 3) do much a better job then these guys do. Again do not use these guys

I've heard these guys advertised on the radio forever, and when I looked on their website it said they were a dealer for the A/C unit my builder installed, so when I came home to a warm house Sunday night, I gave them a call on Monday. I set up the appointment with the service manager and the tech came when he was supposed to be there. The price didn't seem out of line and I didn't get dinged for an after hours call even though he didn't get started until after 6. I'll use them again.
