Hollub came out to check why our furnace wasn't heating the building and then was out to fully repair it the next day! The admin staff was very helpful and excellent communicators. We'll use them for years to come.

From the get-go Sean took the time to talk me through what he thought the problem might be with my HVAC system, gave me options to consider, helped me choose one that fit my budget, and proceeded to work quickly to get his guys out for an install of a new system (my current one was 22 years old and would've cost more to repair than replace). I feel like he had my best interest in mind, didn't push me to buy more than I needed, and treated me like a valued customer.

I'll definitely be using Hollub going forward, as long as they continue to provide the same level of service, quality work, and HONESTY, which seems to be missing from a lot of companies these days.

We had an emergency with our hot water heater. They sent a technician the very same day to assess the problem, they installed a brand new water heater the next day. It has been working fine. Hollub is a good company to work with. Service: Installation

The phone representative was very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. The technician came out promptly and diagnosed the problem (which confirmed our preliminary diagnosis). He had to return with a new fan motor and did so within a couple of hours. He was very professional and worked quickly to return our heat to normal. Service: Heating maintenance

Thank you Hollub Heating, Inc. for not having traveling restrictions, unlike the company I purchased the unit from. Oddly, they didn't have a problem traveling to my area to sell me their product, but coming out to service it was out of their district. Hollub sent a technician out the same day I called. The technician was courteous and professional.

Thanks again for exceptional service. PS: I later received a phone call from Hollub stating that they made a mistake quoting my bill and to my surprise the amount was less than the original amount. NOW THAT'S RARE!

Came out same day, solved the problem and gave some additional advice on my furnace, honest pricing. That's what I need in a heating company. Found my new go-to for sure.

Very slow response from the office to send techs out. The HVAC techs are fine and do good work. It's hot, I need the AC fixed. I've used them for the past 7 years (condo association recommendation). Will not use this company again

This review is based on two occasions, first occasion I had called them to come and flush the boiler, which the guy came and did, and he did a great job. Next time they came and the guys were knowledgeable and nice dudes, however they ended up adding 8way boiler liquid to my boiler which is fine and dandy, but they ended up putting way too much which caused a lot of surging on my boiler, I'm not the only one who has this issue see link here. https://forum.heatinghelp.com/discussion/164057/anyone-try-this-rectorseal-68712-quart-8-way-boiler-water-treatment so guys did a fine job doing their job, that is maintenance for this winter, but adding so much of the 8 way cleaner caused so much surging in my boiler, but either I keep paying them like 250 bucks or whatever an hour, and wait for them to remove and dilute the water or I had to do it myself. in other words they made the situation worse, and for them to fix it, they would have had to stick around however long and continue to charge me which im sure they would love to.

I ended up telling them thanks have a nice day just to stop the clock, then calling them and talking to one of the head honchos who told me to flush out the gonk from the bottom of boiler and do it at a fast rate. which is fine, but its only cause I know kind of what I am doing. but still very disappointed that I wanted them to come and do winterizing preparation but not add two hours of more work for me. so in other words, if you have a specific job you want them to do, these guys are fine. but since its charged hourly, you are forced to either pay that rate, even if its their fault the thing isn't working correctly. anyways, its possible I just need to find a decent old fashion steam guy, which hopefully I can find a guy, most of them are dead I know.

Hollub provided excellent service and value with their recent work replacing the HVAC, furnace, and water heater for our condo a few weeks ago. Great communication. Sean is very honest and helpful in all things regarding jobs like ours. Service agreement is fair as well. Will recommend to others.

I have been using Hollub Heating for over 20 years, having them come by every year for a 'check-up' of my home heating and airconditioning. In addition, I'll call them when there's a breakdown (which always seems to occur during weather extremes). Believe me, in a field with a lot of barely competent players who promise all sorts of reliable work and try to sell you something you don't need, Hollub stands head and shoulders above them all. I have been recommending Hollub to all my friends for years and the feedback has always been excellent. Don't even bother with anyone else.

I have used Hollub Heating for over 15 years. I've had excellent service each and every time. Hollub installed a brand new furnace about 10 years ago and its running great. Their technicians are professional and many have been with the company for years; in fact Pat has worked my furnaces for 15 years. He was always respectful and takes time to explained the systems to the residents. The office staff is wonderful to work with also. I highly recommend Hollub Heating for all your Heating needs.

Very nice gentlemen came out within less than 24 hours of my call fixed my issue in just a few minutes! He also gave me great advice on what filters to use and general upkeep/maintenance. He even showed me how to fix the issue myself should it happen again! AND THEN he gave me some great advice on a roof leaking issue I've been having around my HVAC piping. I've been going back and forth with my condo board for a year and got more from this gentleman in a few minutes than I ever have from them and their repairmen. Definitely plan on using them again for our other properties and recommending them to friends.

We've used this place a few times. They're the only ones (after calling several places) who actually know how to repair/maintain our Weil McClain Ultra hot water boiler.

I have used Hollub for 18 years and have been happy. I had my furnace checked two weeks ago and the technician also fixed my humidifier that was installed 3 years ago with a new furnace from Hollub. The humidifier has not been working so I called to have someone check on it. I thought the cost of this visit would have been covered. Nobody told me that it wouldn't be.

A few remote trouble shooting questions would have fixed the problem and avoided a 5 minute visit that cost me $60. When I called Hollub To inquire about the charge I was met with a very rude person who didn't seem to care about my 18 years of business.

We were in a crisis. Our A/C compressor went out, and it was the middle of summer. Oh, and we had a newborn due the week it went out. I searched for Carrier dealers in the area, and I stumbled upon Hollub. When I called, I explained my situation, and the owner got on the phone to help me. Within a day, they sent a technician to our house to assess the unit and provide a practical recommendation. Ultimately, they installed a new unit within 48 hours from the initial service visit.

Everyone I met during the process was honest and friendly, and I really felt like their key client during the time. This company is a jewel in Chicago, and I couldn't recommend them more. A sincere, thank you to the team.

Hollab saved us 3k! We had a heating issue in our condo. We called Aircor because they had awesome reviews on Yelp. They came out to repair the heater, said a part needed replacing. They replaced it but it didn't fix the issue. We end up calling them back two weeks later. They said we need to replace the heater and it would run us 3k. We decided to get a second opinion. Called Hollub Heating because they originally did the work for our building years ago. They were super nice and there in less than 24 hours. They found there was insulation that was clogging the blower and removed it. Heater works amazing now.

Eleven years ago, Hollub Heating replaced my old water heater with a new unit, which had been working perfectly ever since. However, I decided it was better to replace it before I had a problem -- eleven years is a long time, after all. So I called Hollub again, and asked them to install a new water heater and remove the old one. I live on the 4th floor of a condo building with no elevator, only a narrow spiral staircase, which made the removal and installation such a challenge.

The tech guys did an outstanding job! Although my old water heater was still working, the pipes were so full of rust and calcium (yes, I was home and saw this with my own eyes) it could not be drained easily. So what should have been an easy job turned out to be much more complicated, as the tank with 55 gallons of water had to be turned on its side so the water could drain into the hose with the help of a plastic receptacle to catch the few drops that leaked.

The guys replaced the old pipes and valves, and finished up beautifully. Yes, they had to return to complete the work, but I am glad they did. None of us knew the pipes would be so clogged when the job was booked. And even with the extra trip, Hollub honored its original estimate, so I am absolutely sure that nobody was trying to pad the bill. And by the way, the bill was lower than an estimate I had received from another heating and air-conditioning company.

I am a little surprised by the negative reviews I saw posted here. All I can say is that I had a great experience with Hollub, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Everyone was polite and professional and skilled.

I have used Hollub for over 25 years and this is the fourth furnace they have replaced for me - the first three were in a 3-flat that I owned and today was in my townhome. The blower motor on my 18-year old furnace could have been repaired, but I did not want to invest more money for a furnace that was at the end of its useful life. They laid out all the options - repair the motor, replace the furnace with a similar model, or replace the furnace with a more efficient, upgraded model - and the pros and cons of each so that I could make an informed decision.

I chose the upgraded model and it was installed in less than 24 hours from when I first called them. They were responsive and worked efficiently to get my heat turned on on one of the coldest days this winter. After a few hours with the new furnace, I'm pleased that I chose the upgraded model since it is quieter and heating my home better at a lower temp than my old furnace. I continue to call Hollub decade after decade because I know they will respond quickly to my issues at a fair price. Also, it's nice to patronize a family-owned business.

I have been using Hollub for my annual checkups for years; always happy with their responsiveness and competence. Now my old heater was about to go so I ordered a new one. It came on time and was installed by two real professionals. They were efficient and thorough, paying attention to every detail of the installation. I would recommend Hollub to anyone needing HVAC product or service.

Watch out for the up sell. We called for my sisters furnace went it was having problems.they came out and said it needed replacement for 4000-6000$ because the heat exchange was cracked and the furnace was more than 20 years old. Got a second opinion and the new new furnace guy replaced a 149$ part and it runs perfectly! Shame on you Hollub for the up sell.

Would never use them again. Replaced the motor in the blower of my in wall heater unit in my condo and the performance of the unit was not the same. Tech who came to my home was very nice and polite and was very knowledgeable. When I called to report my dissatisfaction with the fact that there was barely any air blowing out of the vent, I was rudely interrupted, and was told there was nothing more they could do. I don't believe the same part was replaced or if anything was replaced. $500 for crap.

Hollub has completed a couple of jobs for us in our building. The most recent one was to replace a non-working oversized furnace in the unit that the previous owner had installed. They explained several reasons as to why the furnace may not be working, gave us several options for the new furnace, were on time, professional and easy to work with. Hopefully I won't need them again for awhile. But if I have any more furnace issues, I will be calling them.

I had a bad experience this morning with this company, They came to my house to do the clean and check service for my A/C unit, They charged me $125 for the first 30 minutes and $60 for the next 30 minutes, the guy that came to my house was wasting the time at the beginning and then sprayed some water at the coil, they charged me $185 to waste the time and they said the need to come back later to finish the job. So I don't recommend this company They are scammers on their prices.

My air conditioning recently died. I had Hollub come out and they told me the 25+ years old compressor was dead and they recommended replacing it. They also looked the furnace which was just as old. Even though the furnace was working they recommended replacing it since the technician thought the heat exchanges was cracked. Since the entire HVAC system had lasted about as long as they were going to I decided to replace them both.

They provided me with several options in terms of pricing and efficiency. Hollub's pricing was extremely competitive with the other quotes they I received from other vendors. The crew for the install showed up on time and were very friendly. They also took great care not do damage my newly remodeled floors and walls. The crew did an excellent job in cleaning up after themselves, such as sweeping up after they finished. I have used Hollub in the past and will use them again.

Hollub recently installed a new furnace in my condo. Sean helped me determine the best model and helped me see my options. He gave me a number of ways to approach the selection and seemed to always have my desire to be energy efficient and cost effective in mind. He helped guide me to a good solution. The installers were friendly and competent. They took great care in keeping my place clean by covering floors and cleaning up. They reached out to me as needed and did a great job.
