I've been pretty happy with them in general. So happy, that I've spent $21K with them to replace 3 a/c units at my 2 recent houses over the past 2 years. However, for this last one, after agreeing to an $11K replacement, they still chose to charge me the $99 for the service call to determine that my unit needed a replacement (the same "service call" that took only 15 minutes to figure that out), then wouldn't refund it because it's "company policy".
I get company policy, but when have you displayed enough customer loyalty with a company that they don't do you a $99 solid? Apparently, $21K isn't enough. Seems a little too greedy to me. Hope the $99 was worth with it.

We contacted First American (our home warranty) and to be honest with you, they don't always send the best companies. Boy were we surprised! After being without A/C for 2 days, we were pleasantly surprised by our Technician, Leo Castillo. He arrived earlier than scheduled to repair our A/C, which we are NOT complaining about. He quickly surveyed our unit both inside and out and diagnosed the problem quickly.

Leo is really smart young man. I mentioned that I was German, and we started speaking about football (soccer) and he started mentioning football teams from Germany, which was awesome. House Pro installed a 2 stage AC and heating system with 4 zones for my parents home, it was 14 years ago, the system runs perfect, saved lots of money on the electricity bill and the house stays very comfortable. Added after your response: We, customers, are not responsible for the levels of expertise of your employees. After sending a technician who failed twice to diagnose the issue, took two days and several hours to simply open and close our AC units and furnace, and waiting for an "expert, " you sent someone who refused to speak to us, explain the problem clearly (let alone politely), didn't even check the furnace (which the other technician examined twice, couldn't figure anything out, and kept mentioning the "expert").
No one "yelled" at your employees, junior or otherwise. After Raj Seunarine scoffed at us because we did not know the inner workings of electricity/AC (which is why we hire companies like yours), was incredibly rude to the both of us and left, we turned on the AC and it started up (which should not happen without electricity) and came out to point this out to your technicians, it was your "expert" technician who yelled at the both of us and drove off!
Your junior technician was not rude, and we have never claimed so. In fact we have been nothing short of patient and accommodating for the hours your technicians took up without solving anything. Your junior technician spent hours in and outside the house on both days (checking the AC and furnace) and despite his being unable to diagnose the problem, we had no issues and were happy to wait for the expert help he kept mentioning.
It is your senior technician whose behavior was appalling; it was clear that he did not want to be there and was doing us a favor. This has been incredibly distressing because 1) we spent countless hours with someone opening and closing our AC units and furnace without solving anything. We expected a minimum level of competence and professionalism, if not "exceptional customer service." 2) your expert technician, who is clearly not interested in helping customers, scoffed and rudely brushed the both of us aside from the very beginning of his brief visit, and made up different diagnoses as he saw fit.

Ronald was very professional. He thoroughly explained the issue in detail and showed where the problem existed. Turns out I had recently upgraded my alarm system VIVINT's technician did not properly install the thermostat causing the HVAC to continuously run. Had I not contacted House Pro my repair cost would've been extremely costly. Thanks to Ronald my system is working properly!

Our AC stopped working out of a sudden, my husband quickly called so someone could come out and check it out to see what was wrong. Leo The Technician, came to my home and diagnosed my air conditioning system. The technician was courteous and arrived on time. I have a Home Warranty, so my husband contacted them when our home AC wasn't working on a 90 degree + day. The warranty company sent House Pro. I'm always weary of any contractor from a big box company. I feel like they all took the same salesman course, "up-sale! up-sale! up-sale!". SHAWN from Washington was the BEST AC contractor I've ever encountered. (No Cap) He did a true assessment of our issues and did NOT try to strong arm us into a new 10K+ system.
Even after me and my husband interrogated him, he kept his cool and really gave us some feasible options. He maintenance our AC and it has NEVER ran this quietly (We had a rattler). We know the day will come where we'll need a new system. I'm here to say, if House Pro is consistent with this type of service, they will keep our business!

Murray explained my situation, offered me 4 price options to fix/ replace my system and did not try to up-sale me. He took the time to answer all of my "internet research" questions and came back by to check on us during the installation. It was Saturday, Ron knew that he was the last person to finish the fine details of the AC install. He called to ask if he could come EARLY! He was fast, professional and through. We first used House Pro back in the heat of summer 2020. They were always quick to respond, quick to send out techs to assess the issues, and after evaluating multiple repair options, ultimately ended up replacing one of our AC systems. We have had no issues so far with the new unit and expect to utilize them on future replacements/repairs to very old systems. Let me just say, if you have an emergency during the hottest month of the year DO NOT contact this company. The wait time is simply ridiculous. Three day minimum. 1st day - they come out to evaluate the issue 2nd day- they turn in paperwork 3rd day - they MIGHT have the part in stock After that God only knows when you will get the repair fixed and HOPEFULLY it's just the initial issue.

Raj and Hassan both came out to diagnose our two AC units. They were honest and efficient and explained what was wrong. They were on time, and both times we had issues, House Pro was able to send someone out quickly. We ended up needing a new evaporator coil and the installers who came our were nice and changed the coil quickly. We're glad both our AC units are working again thanks to House Pro!

We had a problem with our A/C system short cycling and not cooling well. Our technician Shawn Mahar came to our rescue and quickly did a thorough inspection and presented a solution as to what it would take to fix the problems with our A/C system. The drain was clogged with algae due to the high humidity levels, Shawn cleared the drain and treated the unit to prevent a recurrence.
While here we requested that our outside unit be cleaned and have the Freon level checked which needed to be topped off with Freon. The repairs were explained to us completely and pricing was discussed before any work was performed. We also agreed to signing up for an annual maintenance program to stay proactive in keeping the system operating. Shawn was very professional and very easy to work with. I called HousePro on Saturday night when my air conditioner failed to work. They arrived on Sunday morning as promised and service my air conditioner so that we were able to make it through the weekend without melting. The repair man was knowledgeable and explained everything to me before performing the service. The price was fair and I felt like I got a very good deal on the repairs.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! They are crooks! They came in to my home and suckered us into a completely new system for 20,000! Almost a year later and it still doesn't work. It didn't work from the first night and I told them to come get the equipment and the owner refused. The owner threatened me and tried to intimidate me and has done nothing to make this right. Worst choice I've ever made.

It's always a pain in the ass when your AC or Heater goes down, so be4 you run to the bathroom to take a laxative think upstairs and give this company a call. I had electrical problems with my unit so the visit was 10 maybe 15 minutes on the roof and everything was taken care of, so depending on the work that needs to be done these are good people to contract with.
I found Ron and his colleague to be very efficient and knowledgeable about their trade. I wouldn't hesitate to give them repeat business. I would even go to the extent of referring their business to anyone who is in need of a good technician.

Note: this review was for work completed in 5/2017. Unit stopped cooling at the pinnacle of summer. HousePro booked me same-day. Their technicians were timely, polite, and professional. They are knowledgeable first rate technicians who worked fast. The technician, Donald, happily answered my questions. He explained his high tech diagnostic tools. His presentation of the problem was also very insightful, I learned a lot about my own house. Now, 12 months later, my AC is still working well. Can't remember a single time they have come to the house when we didn't have a problem appear very shortly after they left, varying from smaller and simpler issues to huge ones. To put what follows into context, please note the company undertook a full A/C replacement (condensers, ductwork, insulation, everything) and as part of the warranty offered, they also have been undertaking all of the maintenance since the new installation.
On several occasions, after having had a service call, the AC unit(s) were not functioning correctly and we had to try to schedule an "urgent" appointment (which is never urgent. It is at their convenience). Often, it took them days to come back and we had to endure, in the summer, temperatures of around 80 degrees in the house. It was not always easy to get through to talk to a person when we called them up.
On many occasions, after the service, water would start to accumulate in the drain pan and the AC would shut off automatically. And because of that, many times we have had water damage in the upstairs ceiling. Then, trying to contact them to have them come back to fix the problem with the pan was a nightmare. When they would eventually come, they would simply remove the water and turn the AC back on, without actually fixing the problem with the pan and we would have the same problem few months down the line.
A couple of years after the issue with the pan started we had two technicians who actually tried to solve the problem and eventually succeeded. Do they still work there? No, of course they don't. Nobody who actually knows what they are doing ever seems to stay there for long. Sad. On another occasion, immediately after the technician left, we had water pouring down the ceiling downstairs. Why?
Because the guy had clogged the drain. Did they take responsibility? No, they didn't. The same technician came back and lied, pretending he hadn't been the one here on the day the problem started (!). We ended up having to call out a separate plumbing contractor to unclog drain lines which were full of insulation from the attic. You always have to pay in advance for spare parts that they don't have in stock (otherwise, they can't place the request for the parts).
Once we paid in advance for whatever parts that were required to complete the service and we never got a call informing us the parts had arrived and they were ready for installation. Months had passed and we had to contact them. Had they ordered the parts? No, they hadn't. Then, it took a couple more weeks for the parts to be available and for them to finally install them.
Many times, they leave the floors dirty, they rarely have shoe covers with them, and they don't really care about your walls. A couple of times we have had service techs commenting that some stuff has become damaged and we need to get it replaced. When pointing out that their company installed and has been doing all maintenance work (and are the only people to ever go into the attic space), the tone changes.
Not sure why they schedule the appointments within time frames - e.g. between 12:30 and 2:30. They rarely show up within the time frame. They either arrive late or they show up much before the scheduled time, unannounced, catching you unprepared or, if you are not at home, they will start calling and messaging you, forcing you to leave what you are doing to cater to their schedule problems.
They don't apologize and if you point out to the fact that they were early/late/didn't communicate, they show their dissatisfaction immediately. Bottom line: we are a bit sick and tired of them. To the Business Manager: thank you for your prompt message. At this point in time, there is no issue that needs to be addressed. This is simply a customer review, not a complaint.
For the future, however, it would be great to see that HousePro is investing in training their employees, not only to be able to handle installation/maintenance correctly but also to excel in customer service. Thank you!

They either arrive late or they show up much before the scheduled time, unannounced, catching you unprepared or, if you are not at home, they will start calling and messaging you, forcing you to leave what you are doing to cater to their schedule problems.
They don't apologize and if you point out to the fact that they were early/late/didn't communicate, they show their dissatisfaction immediately. Bottom line: we are a bit sick and tired of them. To the Business Manager: thank you for your prompt message. At this point in time, there is no issue that needs to be addressed. This is simply a customer review, not a complaint.
For the future, however, it would be great to see that HousePro is investing in training their employees, not only to be able to handle installation/maintenance correctly but also to excel in customer service. Thank you!

I have been dealing with HousePro for probably over 4 years now. They are the best home service company I have ever dealt with, and I own 2 homes, so I've dealt with a lot. Anyway, they first came out through my home warranty company and did such a great job that first time, I would specifically ask that they be dispatched to my houses whenever I had A/C warranty work that needed to be done.
A couple of years ago, I decided to have my ducts completely re-done and a dual control system be put in my primary residence. HousePro did an awesome job. All the way from the guy who showed up to give me an estimate for the job cost, to the last guy to come and inspect all the work, when it was completed. And now, you wouldn't believe the money I am saving because of my new ducts. I'll be honest, it hasn't always been rainbows and butterflies, there may have been a hiccup or two, but in the end, HousePro did the most important thing.
They took care of me, addressed my concern and made everything right. To me, that's what's important. How a company handles issues, and HousePro gets it right. Finally, I can't write this review and not mention HousePro's best employee, Mo. Over the past few years, Mo has taken care of me time and again. You can tell, he really knows his stuff and does a great job of making sure you understand what's going on too. Not to mention, he's really a nice guy, the kind of guy you want to have a beer with. LOL Thanks Mo and thanks HousePro!

I called for an estimate for a new heating & cooling system. The estimator arrived on time, was very polite and immediately started the "needs assessment" game. What are your issues? Where are the hot spots? How long have you been in the home? How long do you plan on staying in the home. The usual stuff. I replied two years. He immediately started the upsell on filters, UV lights and allergy screens.
I reminded the representative we are looking at 2-3 years and these items just aren't necessary. No worries, the upsell continued with attic insulation, larger returns, complete replacement of all ductwork. Some necessary. some not. And then the "charts" showing how much $$ I'll save on my energy bills and that it would pay for the system.
Not likely in 2-3 years. The kicker came he gave me the quote, which I thought was quite high. He saw my reaction and immediately noted I could pay only $235 a month. For 132 months! Absurd. That would more than double the cost of the system. And why would I take out an 11 year note and leave the house in 36 months? So, the representative switched modes and went to how much he could save me if I paid cash.
When I told him he was my first estimate he was clearly disappointed and asked me to give him the "last shot" if I got a better deal and he'd "sharpen the pencil." Please. I think I'd rather buy a used car. Somehow, I doubt this sales approach is unique in the industry.
