One of Southern California's biggest draws is the weather, and thanks to its moderate climate year-round, that mean residents rarely have to deal with the wintry woes that plague northern states. However, the summer temperatures can definitely get too hot to handle, which means you need a reliable home cooling system to see you through.

Bottom line is you made the appointment and quoted a price. Nobody forced you to take the appointment, and nobody talked about pricing except for your own quote. Either you are a stand up company that honors their own price quote or you are not. You are choosing to not live up to what you said you would. Absolutely will not do any business with you going forward, and will highly recommend to anyone seeking HVAC service to avoid your company.

Way too overpriced after getting several estimates from other HVAC providers. I am really suprised Costco keeps them on board. Wanted me to replace entire AC system ( condenser unit and heater) when 3 other independent vendors said heater was fine and only needed new condenser unit that was compatible with heater. They were hardcore salesmen as they had a list a page long of every screw, bolt, they had to replace making it look like a large and complicated job.
All 3 independent companies literally laughed at the estimate and were all on the same page that I was oversold. I got the unit at 50% the price and glad i didnt go with them. The sales rep is still calling me aggressively leaving emails and calls at 9pm. Of course, huge commissions, this company is all about money and will get what you are willing to pay, beware.

At my home I had my service done to my furnace and air conditioning unit yesterday. Rowland Air sent out a technician named Melvin, who was extremely professional. Melvin explained to my wife and myself what he was going to do before he started with the service. When he found an issue on one of the units, he informed us and explained the issue so we both understood what was needed.
During the service Melvin was not only extremely professional, he was very courteous when he explained step by step what he did during the service asking both my wife and myself if we had any questions. If I owned a company or was a supervisor in a company, I would like to have many employees just like Melvin.

Found Rowland's AC on a Costco shopping trip. They are a accredited Lennox AC company. Lennox is a USA company founded in 1895 in Iowa. I'm sure other companies will be cheaper, but we wanted the city permit for a new HVAC, and a smooth installation with no headaches. The old unit was 20 years old, and fixable but it was time to take the plunge.
With inflation going crazy, why wait. Eric is the to go man for Rowland. He was patient, and answered the many questions we had, before we signed the contract. It was a big project, but all went smoothly. The team that installed the HVAC unit was Alamo the lead man, Andrew and Joel. They did a super job. The new dampers helped with the air flow through the townhouse.
We bought the extended warranty. Everything Eric told us, happened. He was excellent. The gift card from Costco was emailed.a week after completion. I called Rowland's, which by the way has wonderful customer service personnel, and a appointment was set up for the city inspector. It happened the next day. Thank you to the Rowland Company.

Very very mixed feelings after repair. Eric looks like very kind and good person. But. Yesterday estimate price for changing mainboard in my home heater was $805 (2001 year). How do you think is it normal price for changing mainboard (just mainboard, nothing else)? I don't know. Today I paid $955. For 45 minutes job. Because Eric said I need to fix another little part. That's why I have so mixed feelings. On the one side Eric very good person. From other side I feel like overpaid.

Scott from Rowland Air came out to check our heating and A/C units. He came within the time specified and promptly went to work. He was courteous, very professional, thorough and explained what he was doing every step of the way. We knew we had at least one issue with our heating unit, and he showed us what it was and we had him take care of it then since he had the part.
We found that the prior company we had out, didn't change one of our other parts on the A/C, but added a booster to extend the life of the A/C capacitor. He had that part on his truck as well and replaced the capacitor. He never tried to up-sale items we didn't need (like a whole new unit), but explained that there were things that we should probably have done to our lines (insulating) that would help reduce heating and cooling costs. We will recommend Rowland Air to all our family and friends.

I stop by in COSTCO one day and ask for the quote to replace the whole zircon and heater unit in my home, Robert is on time with the appointment and explained the details of the work and the kind unit will be using. Work is done as promise and on time with no delays and the wall perfect as if nothing happen to the place. I would really recommend this company. Me and my spouse are just one happy and satisfied customer. Great job ROWLAND AIR!

We had our AC heating and cooling system replaced and ductwork replaced through a program with Costco. When setting up the work the sales person recommended a split system for our two story house. This sounded good since you could heat or cool each floor independently. After installation we are informed that the upper level was controlled only by modifying settings and not controlled by program.
After installation we had issues cooling and had to call for service and they responded acceptably. The technician found a float adjustment on the condensing pan was incorrectly installed and he made corrections. A short time later the AC quit working, we again called and they responded with a different technician. He relocated the float switch to the opposite side of the pan.
Then a short time later again we had the same problem, again a different technician showed up he replumbed everything, in fact he replumbed to where the float could not activate if the overflow filled up to shut the system down. So now there is no protection for tank overflow. Most of the problem is that they didn't level the unit properly on installation.

We recently replaced our old AC that finally reached its life expectancy after 19 years of service. We ordered the install of a more efficient system with Rowland Air through COSTCO. We were very impressed with their professionalism, curtesy, and work ethics. We are very happy with their work, the new AC unit and the educational knowledge about the AC system from them. I would definitely recommend this crew to our friends! Great job!

We have been using Roland air for 3 years now. I like that they don't try to upswell us on things we don't want or need. Dude always says, your unit could break soon or it could last another 5 years. hard to tell but I'll keep it going for now. We have a 25 year old air conditioning and I'll reuse them for that honest and integrity.
When we first bought our home they told us the unit was not level and needed some repair work. We went with it and it has seemed fine since with our 6 month check ups which I recommend. I love the half year service jobs. It's worth it.

I had an issue with my AC and they sent Eric to take care of it. It needed a new capacitor which took all of 5 minutes. The charge for a new capacitor was $299.00. This is a part that retails for $15-18. I was literally charged 16-18 times the price. 1600%. When I asked about the part price I was told how its a special capacitor which of course its not. The total charge was $442 for 5 minutes and a $17 part. I would not use them again and I would caution you to insure against being scammed.

They were supposed to send me an estimate. Talked to three office people and sent one e-mail asking for the promised estimate, never got one. Also technician told me my condenser unit was made in the 70's when actually made in 1988. Either he was lying or didn't know what he was talking about. Had to go with another company.

Dishonest, scammers. Beware!. The AC overflow pipe had become clogged and water had leaked into the area around the Forced air unit in the house. I called Roland Air and had them come out to fix the problem. The repair guy said it was very expensive to unclog the pipe with nitrogen gas so instead he blew some air thru the pipe and said everything would be good.
He did a check up on the AC unit and discovered that the AC motor needed to be replaced. So he ordered me a new motor and estimated the cost to be $1100 including installation. This was the beginning of June. Two weeks later the same problem with the overflow. They send out a different repair guy who used the nitrogen gas to clear the line. No charge.
Then he convinced me to add $450 overflow alarm to prevent the problem from happening again. While he was installing the part I looked the alarm up on line and found it cost $28.00. He was done installing it in less than 3 minutes. I had him remove it. Now Aug 4, Roland Air called to inform me that my AC motor had arrived and wanted to install it. No apologies for delay. Beware of these people

They wanted to charge me $500 to exchange air filters every three months for a year, claiming the filters alone are supposedly special filters and cost $85 each. found them on Amazon now: a six pack is $42 (= $7 each) and it takes 2 minutes to change them myself! BEWARE they rip you off! They literally wanted to charge me 1215% overprice!

The AC in my residence stopped working during this hot summer of August! After getting a few estimates for repair and due to the age of the system, I decided to replace the entire system (i.e. furnish, coil, & condenser). After 5 estimates (i.e. Home Depot, Lowes, & two other HVAC companies), I decided to go through Costco and Rowland Air because of their competitive price and the outstanding customer service. Chris M. from Rowland Air was easy to work with. Chris was knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service.
He explained all of the options, prices, and answered all of my many questions. I did not feel pressure to purchase and was given time to consider what I wanted to do. Chris also did a great job with communication and working around my busy schedule. Chris is a true professional. Jeff N. and crew from Rowland Air did a great job with the installation.
They arrived on time and diligently completed the install. I also appreciated their communication during the installation. If you're in the market for a new AC and/or furnish, I would highly recommend checking out Costco and Rowland Air for the value/price of a Lennox system and their outstanding customer service and communication. I am a happy customer with AC now lol.
