Service man was Great. He was very knowledgeable about my unit. Performed the service and let me know that there were repairs that were going to be needed in the very near future that I should think about. He would gladly show explain them to me an a copy would be included on my receipt. Service: A/C system maintenance

The technician was professional and knowledgeable. But between miscommunication and lack of record keeping between the technician and the office, the total was much higher than expected and no invoice was given upon leaving the job. A call had to be made and the invoice created in order for me to know my total. The home I live in was serviced by R&B in the past prior to me owning the home.

This was discovered by the technician upon inspection of the unit and notes written on the panel by previous technicians. No records or service history was found by the office. All this was blamed on the company moving to a new operating system. The only pleasant part of dealing with the company was the technician and his good attitude and work ethic. I'm not sure how they have the supposed reputation they have online.

Tech Brent Young was very professional prompt and expedient. Expect nothing less from R.B. Spencer personnel. 5 star experience from initial contact of office staff all the way thru completion of your project. And best thing is the 5 star service dies not end it continues as you use them for regular check ups on your system to keep its performance at optimal level. Alex was our service technician. He was on time and very polite, even when I was dealing with a crying newborn. He installed the iWave air purifying system for our unit and checked our actual A/C unit outside and gave his recommendations for proper service. Didn't try to oversell anything and told us of all of the best options for the unit. He explained the maintenance plan RB offers and went over why it is a good idea. Will be signing up for the maintenance plan based on his recommendation. Overall professional and quick experience. Would recommend Alex and RB Spencer 10/10!

Alex was very thorough and professional. He clearly explained his findings and recommendations. My A/C unit is 20 years old, so we talked about that and reasonable expectations. He told me it is working well at this time, however it is an older unit. I already knew that it is at about it's life expectancy and will need to be replaced in the near future. I've always received great service from Spencer's, and this was no exception.

I was alerted ahead of time that the technician was on his way. I like that. Alex is the technician who serviced my unit. He presented himself well, having a good professional appearance, was friendly and had a well concise report of all what he did. He offered some suggestions in helping to maintain my unit, that was well received. I think he represents RB Spencer very well.

These guys were just right! The technician arrived on time and went straight to work. He was polite and made a good impression. Once he finished, he checked back in before leaving, let me know all was well, and was on his way. Very good! The Technician is very polite and informative as to what condition the unit is in. The options are put new parts in an old unit or replace the unit.

Their professionals are always on time, explain exactly what services are necessary, make necessary repairs, complete their work, leave areas they work in in perfect order. Pricing is always reasonable. And my heating and air are always working perfectly. They service my a/c and heating on a regular schedule.

Just had a new HVAC system put in by R.B. Spencer. Everyone we had contact with was just outstanding. Karl, Kenny, Jason, James, office personnel all were knowledgeable, helpful, and worked hard to get us back with some AC during this hot summer we're having. They all just seemed like really good people too, which is a big plus. Thank you R.B. Spencer!

They were unable to fix our heater, and billed us $275 when they estimated us at $125. They told us they would come back when parts were ordered (turned out to be 2 months) and left us without heat. They told us they wanted to come back when the parts were ordered and it would cost us an additional $125 plus any labor costs. Never called back when left messages, and put on hold for 15-20 minutes each time. Awful service, awful experience

Rich was the absolute most condescending sales person I have ever had dealings with. I called to set up a quote for a whole house fan and he proceeded to tell me over the phone (without ever looking at the property) what I needed and how I obviously didn't understand what the requirements were. I called back and spoke to the owner Bob Spencer, who is a professional, but informed him that Rich was such an utter disappointment and that due to that horrible experience that my business was lost for good.

I do not have the time nor the patience for a business that I'm willing to spend several thousands of dollars with give me any attitude, especially when making first contact. UPDATE TO RESPONSE: Complete misrepresentation of the phone call. Rich is actually a known issue and after posting the review above on FB I received numerous messages in complete agreement in others dealing with Rich. Condescending, rude and unprofessional.

To the R&B I cannot express the level of disappointment from our dealings. Since May to June, water raining into our home, 3 service calls, had to wait days, finally tap out, left us hanging, back to square one

I called RB Spencer and was connected with Thomas. He connected with a possible problem and encouraged us to get it checked. Even though it was the end of the day, he was so kind to say he would come over soon. I was so grateful because our air needed his expertise. It was 91 outside and our unit was STRUGGLING. BUT now our house is comfy cozy. And, our hearts are warm and grateful for the service we received today. Thank you.

Rick did an amazing job we got A long right at first and we're on the same page. anything that I wasn't happy with he went ahead and fixed it for me. We got the top of the line Lennox definitely happy bought the extended warranty to. We went with Andy's heating in air six years ago and that was a terrible decision always a problem.

We received quick and excellent service from Spencers, Curtis and Raymond were both very polite and careful and did great work we have heat again yeah!

Absolutely horrible service. Had scheduled maintenance when I called on the day of to confirm with the mechanic they had rescheduled with NO notice. Also asked the service manager DARREN if they work on a particular unit and he said they did, when the service tech arrived he knew very little and was unable to repair. Money wasted and no progress made.

Three weeks and still waiting, over 100 every day! worst customer service ever! In December 2014 I purchased a brand-new Lennox heating and cooling unit from R.B Spencer in Yuba city, with a 5 year warranty. apparently without even coming out they know the coil inside has a leak! I guess Lennox units are known for that. But Spencer's isn't bringing anew coil they have to order that.

They just want 1200 dollars to come look at it"Wth" one person on the phone told us sometimes you get a good one and sometimes you get a bad one "Really I spent 7,000 dollars " another person at Spencer's told us it was normal for the house to be 95 when it's 105 outside! WHAT the heck are you talking about Lady. In my opinion if Lennox knows their coils are bad they should fix them! And R.B. Spencer's should bill Lennox for the repairs.

Very pleased with the service call that was made to my home today. The Technician arrived on time, as scheduled, was very courteous and professional, and did a seemingly very good job, despite being faced with some challenges in reaching the unit. I'll certainly use their services again in the future.

Beware! They charge for port to port without telling. what a jerk. Rip off my money. charge they charge $85 from their office to your place. they also charge another$85 from your place to their office. please be careful their company just charge without telling you.

Thanks for keeping me waiting around all day then to call me at 6pm to tell me you were not able to make it to my house to fix my ac. This by far was one of the worst customer service I had to deal with in a long time. I had to call valley services and they showed up within an hour so thanks for nothing rb spencer.

My AC went out on a Saturday night right during a 100+ degree week in July. My wife called around to all the companies who deal with HVAC in the Yuba City area and R. B. Spencer was the only company who answered and had a technician available on Sunday. The technician was late but did call and let us know he was running late. When he showed up he was very professional and told me what was wrong with the AC unit within 15 minutes.

He quoted me a price to fix it right there and had all the parts in his truck. After he fixed the AC unit he tested the coolant and made sure that all the vents in the house were blowing at the right temperature. I was rather pleasantly surprised with the end cost being much lower than I had thought it would be for a weekend service call. I would give 5 stars but the initial person who scheduled the appointment was not all that great to deal with.

After the service tech told me that he didn't have the part I needed, didn't know when he could get it or how much it would cost and left my house on a Saturday afternoon, his equally unhelpful manager called me Monday morning to tell me how they dont stock every part in the world and when I questioned why they didn't ask what type of heater I had before coming out to service it he rudely asked me if I would have been capable fo telling him what type of heating unit I owned.

He told me his customer's love his technician who wanted to come out on Monday instead of Saturday his manager said he was being thoughtful trying to save me $20.00 he then offered the excuse that there must have been a personality conflict. between us Uh yeah paying for someone to track mud and rain in to my house and then tell me no truck in the fleet has the part needed to fix my heater after he looked in his own truck. No stars and no calls to them ever. The worst part is I had to pay for what I consider the worst customer service call I have ever had. No stars
