We have used Lowry many times and been happy each time. They are quick to respond, scheduling is easy, and they arrive when they say they will. Recently we had Paul install gas lines for our backyard firepit and future grill. He helped us know exactly what we needed to coordinate his work with the work we are doing to install the patio, was flexible when things got delayed, and was a pleasure to speak with. He also had an eye for details that gave the job a professional finish. We are happy with the results! Would highly recommend Paul and Lowry.

The Lowry team was responsive from my first call until the work was complete. The team that completed some significant electrical work was awesome! Led by Luis, they were professional, hard working, and walked me through everything they did. I bought an older house and found knob and tube wiring hidden in the walls during my renovations. They eliminated all the issues, and the house is now up to date with safe wiring throughout. I highly recommend this team! As I move on to my bathroom project, I will be calling Lowry for help with plumbing. Thank you Luis and team!

My home needed a new electric panel after Hurricane Ida brought 6 ft of water into my basement. Steve was recommended to me by my next door neighbor. Steve scheduled me as soon as I called and was happy to work with my schedule. He is very polite; taking care to cover his shoes before entering my home. He was happy to answer any questions and worked hard to get the job done in one day. Everything is working great! I highly recommend Lowry Services and Steve Clarey.

They were professional every step of the way! When I made the initial phone call I felt like I was talking to a family member! Andrew the technician is now an Honorary Lawrence family member! He is best technician that has ever walked in this house to do anything! While working he thoroughly explained everything he did and why he was doing it and even while working gave us a full history lesson.

I want to acknowledge our service rep. Jose. First time using Lowry and was very impressed with him. He came out to help us with drain problem. Very professional, respectful, clean and order with his truck and supplies. A huge thing for my husband who was a plant maintenance supervisor during his career. Would recommend and use in future.

Cody came out to our house to diagnose a cold room for us. He was very professional and informative. He recommended a few options to fix the issue. We really appreciated his time, work and diligence. Would recommend Lowry to others who need HVAC work in the future. We plan to call and have some electrical work done in the future! Thanks Cody

This was my first time using Lowry services. I came across the company and their services by their huge billboards. Joe arrived sharp on the scheduled time. He understood the problem and what had to be done. He got to the bottom of the issue and resolved it from its roots. Absolutely fantastic experience with Joe and his services. He was very professional, thorough, courteous and friendly. Their prices are little on the higher end but I am willing to pay for a top notch job. Thank you for fixing my mesh network CAT5e.

Paul was outstanding when our water heater decided to fail on a Saturday. He was professional, prompt, explained our options and was so clean. His work was exceptional. Paul was very respectful of my pets which means a great deal to me. I highly recommend Paul for any work you need done. 5 stars are not enough!

I got a phone call at 11:08, August 12, from Ed, the dispatcher, that John would be at my home by 11:20. I was told I would receive a call one-half hour before the tech would arrive. To make a long story short, John arrived closer to 12:30. That was my initial experience. I greeted him at the door. No mask, no booties. I had to request both. I was told all the techs wear masks and booties.
Not my job to request they don them. Explained what I needed done, and John made a suggestion, which I followed through on. He told me he would need to drill through the cinder block to do the necessary wiring for the outlet in the crawl space. I asked him how long the job might take, and he informed me about two hours. When he showed me the price, I almost fell off my chair. $758.00!
Now if that is not highway robbery, then please send me back to school to relearn the new definition! I told him the company that will install the pump in my crawl space was initially going to do the electrical work for $400.00, but I would find my own electrician for a more reasonable price. John called his boss and explained the situation. His boss said he could only come down so much. John was a decent guy, but he lost some points when he did not tell me he did not need to drill.
It was only after I asked him if there was much to sweep up that he informed me there was no drilling involved. Lowry's took me to the cleaners. There is absolutely NO reason they could not have matched the price the electrician from the crawl space company was going to charge me. Lowry's is grossly overpriced. They do not even match the going rate other companies charge.
If they want to make things right, they should have matched the $400.00 I would have paid. Please do not be mislead by coupons and discounts. They do not even make a dent. I was going to sign up with them to service four units I have in my home, but I will go with Christian HVAC instead. I am a first time customer with Lowry's, and I am profoundly disappointed with their pricing. It is unethical, and I do not know how the owner sleeps at night knowing what he is doing. In good faith, I cannot recommend this company. A COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!

Kind of disappointed in them, and it's sad because I used them for years. Was told if I got a repair done (that was done 3 years ago and was told "it should last more than three years, but parts break!"), I would have six months to get up to $500 back if I get a new system. Got it fixed (after they arrived more than an hour late, but they called at least), then had a guy come out for a quote on a new one, and he told me we have between 30 and 60 days to use that $500.
I liked both the tech and the guy who gave me the quote, they all seemed honest. My biggest gripe is coming an hour late. I was told someone would contact me about that because I had to miss an hour of work, but still nothing. It's sad because they've done a lot of work for me in the past. I trusted them, and I still think they try to do a good job, but they didn't value my time, but had no problem taking my money. Just disappointing.

Did a good job but completely raped me on pricing. Got a quote done after they did work because my bill seemed very high. Talked to 2 of there competitors and they said my bill shouldn't have bin more than $600 max. Was charged $1200 after a $400 military discount. Not to mention they didnt give me a price amount for any of the work, just what they wanted as payment. If it wasnt a time sensitive issue I never would have went with them and will never again. I'll just go without electric before I higher them again.

Nick Seitz took my fan without my permission. Messed up my three way light system in my home. He left my dining area where he was working a mess. he blamed the switch defect on faulty wiring in my home and accused me of having another electrician in my home which is why the three way doesn't work. He or Ed broke my ceiling fan on my sun porch when they took it down to connect a new wire to install my Ring door bell.
I had an additional motion sensor light installed on my 2nd floor roof. I am suppose to be able to turn it on manually. The on and off switch doesn't work. I'm mostly upset because Nick took my ceiling fan without my permission. It was a vintage Fan that was purchased for me by my late husband. I asked the company to have him return it and it has not been returned yet.
This issue has been going on since about November 24, 2020. If no one is going to respond to me the least they can do is return my property. No matter how you look at the situation the most disturbing issue is the theft of my fan. Nick said, to remedy the mess he made it will cost me over $900 dollars. I have Nick on my arlo camera's admitting that he basically had no idea what the problem is.
At first he said the problem was the three way switch. Then he backtracked and said I need to have my whole upstairs system rewired because it's something wrong with my wiring. No the problem is he disconnected my three way light and connected it to the Ring Door device which is what I asked him not to do. I requested he run a separate line for my ring device and he insisted that his way was more efficient. Now I waiting for his General Manager to return my call to give me a remedy for what has happened. I will keep you informed of the progress.

Be warned & be careful, they offer a $49 visit charge, Refunded, if service is done, but; I had them out, because We did not have power in 2 of our rooms. I was at work, because they came earlier than agreed upon time, so I had to make sure someone was home (My son.) I spoke, over the phone with the tech & explained what the issue was, He than stated that the service would cost between $350 & $650 I said that I would not pay, anything over $350. (That was a mistake, on my part.) I should have told him to leave!
To be fair, if the tech had to stay for a long period of time, I would expect a charge of $200 to $300. So, 30 minutes after the tech arrived, I got a call that an outlet needed to be replaced ( I have replaced outlets, before, they cost $15 to $20.) The tech said that the charge would be $350. I paid it, but felt totally Cheated and taken advantage of.
He spent, 45 minutes At our house, replaced 1 outlet and charged $350 We called to talk with a manager, but never got a return call. We will not use Lowry, We will tell many, not to use Lowry.

My husband and I used Lowry for electrical work and our electrician Tom was FANTASTIC! We previously had issues with our ceiling fan not working and we called out HSA to come fix it, they charged me 150 just to come out and say they had to rewire everything. We called Lowry, Tom came out and gave us a very reasonable quote for them to install a new fan and check everything!
Nothing was due until service was completed and WORKED. I absolutely loved it. Tom was personable and had a lot of knowledge about the issue at hand. He was respectful of my sleeping two year old and really did an outstanding job. I would recommend him and the company to anyone I know! Thanks for the help Lowry and Tom! This is an edit to my previous post!
Just used Lowry Services for a plumbing issue and Gio was BEYOND nice! During this whole COVID-19, we needed someone to understand separation and cleanliness. He exceeded my expectations and gave us a great price. He was in and out user an hour. Great service! Will continue to use you guys whenever we need it.!thank you so much

I am not a fan of Lowry Services, and neither should you be. Where to start - this company is as unprofessional as they come. They price gouge, do shoddy work, and do not honor their so called warranty. A month and a half or so ago, Lowry Services installed exhaust fans in two of my bathrooms. When the electrician told me he was going to go to Lowe's to get the fans, I told him to get good ones, and I'll pay the increased price for them.
Fast forward a bit. I noticed that after showering, my bathroom wall gets moisture on it. I researched the model number of the fans and leaned that these fans get very poor ratings. That explains the moisture. When I called to explain this, the representative was friendly, and scheduled me for a repair visit. I also requested additional work to get done.
As soon as the "electrician" named Matt arrived, he immediately told me that there is nothing he can do to address the moisture issue. He said the fans are 120 CFU fans, and that they are fine for the bathrooms. He suggested that I hire a carpenter to remove the bathroom doors and saw off a quarter inch along the bottom of them - then said this "may help" with the moisture.
He said another option would be to shower with the bathroom door(s) open. I'm sure my fiance and daughter would have an issue with this. My family is not showering with the doors open, nor am sawing off the bottom of my doors because it is not needed. I lived in other houses where the doors didn't need sawing and the exhaust fans worked fine. Additionally, the fans are 110 CFU, not 120 CFU.
Regarding the incorrect CFU "guess" you would think that the company that supplied these fans would know what they installed. Then again, if Matt took the time to actually look into the issue for more than 45 seconds, he may have been able to speak more intelligently on this concern. Needless to say, this issue was not addressed - barely looked into, and the moisture continues to happen. I'm assuming it is only a matter of time until my paint starts to bubble.
I also have a few outlets in my house that do not work. Outlets that do not work seems like entry level electrician work, but what do I know. I paid over $300.00 to have these outlets fixed. After about an hour, the electrician fixed one outlet, and seemed stumped on the others (which are all on one side of the house). His answer to me was to ask me to pay an additional $308.00 dollars for him to continue.
When I initially scheduled the job, I asked that these outlets be fixed, not that I pay over $300.00 to hope that they get fixed. I surely wasn't expecting to be asked for an additional $308.00 for him to continue - and with no guarantee that he would even fix them even then. So, after spending over $300.00 to get my outlets fixed - I am still sitting in the dark, while Lowry Services leaves with my money.
I also asked Lowry Services to install two Ring Spotlight Security Cameras. The one in my backyard was installed with the spotlights hanging loose. I had to re-aim them and tighten the thumb screws. No big deal, but I was charged over $400.00 for this one spotlight/camera installation - so I should not have had to do anything. The other spotlight/camera installed over my garage wobbles a bit because he used the same mounting box from the old spotlight that he removed instead of using a new one.
That hardware is probably ten years old or more. There are many company's out there that prey on people that are either in vulnerable situations, or who may not know any better. In my opinion, Lowry Services is one of them. There are way too many other options out there; honest and ethical companies, and I will pursue them going forward. Mike Update on 4-12-20: The owner of Lowry Services contacted me via the cookie cutter message below and said to contact them to discuss these issues to resolve them.
After speaking to their electrician's manager "Joe" I was told by my own fans and they will install them. Even though I bought the first two already. This is the results of Lowry's incompetent work. Water literally dripping from the exhaust fan and soaking the carpet. I have a video of this I put on their Facebook page, but I cannot upload it to Yelp.
I also have water running down my walls. As previously stated, Lowry's wonderful response is for me to go buy new fans and they will install them. Not them coming over with better fans and replacing them, but telling me to buy them at my expense, so that means I will have purchased four exhaust fans because of their half ass workmanship. What a joke.

My daughter need an 220 outlet in her home in South Philly. The location of the outlet was right near the electrical panel. No walls or other interference to run the outlet. Their quote was $3000! They claimed they needed a sub-panel. We immediately got another electrician for a second opinion. The job is done and costs only $850. No sub-panel required. I believe this company was taking advantage of a young homeowner. I will never use them again. I also had to pay $50 for a service call. Total rip off.

I am writing regarding an excellent service call for plumbing with my kitchen sink. Angel went above and beyond by his expertise and trouble shooting skills. My kitchen was redesigned which slowly caused a progressive odor problem for 4 years. He was very patient gave us options without damaging any of my cabinetry or walls. I was so relieved to have this new drainage system and immediate solution to this problem. We will use Lowry in the future as our dedicated plumber.

Rip off company. Run the other way. Will come out and give you a quote double anyone else and then charge you 49 bucks when you say forget it. Fleecing customers, great way to build a rep Saw the much delayed response from this company and had to respond. I totally understand the aspects of business having run million dollar businesses, however your comment on honest and ethical behavior does not ring true.
I am sure you understand that people vote with their feet and the reputation of a business will drive future success. If you business model continues to work for you, more power to you. Smart consumers will not fall for it though. I can only speak to my experience. I paid your fee to drive out there, rejected the offer to repair at the price quoted, rejected the second offer when I told them it was too high, then called someone else and paid half the fee with a more pleasant experience. So even paying your fee, I still came out way ahead and know who I will choose in the future no questions asked

I had Lowry come out to replace a kitchen faucet which was leaking last week. When Rob finally arrived at 5:45 pm, and was supposed to be there between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM, he replaced my faucet with a Moen faucet which cost $56, (I looked it up), and was only here about \an hour, he charged me $771.00 for the work, gave me a 10% senior citizen's discount, my total bill was $694.00 for a faucet that only cost $56.00.
This is a total scam, I live alone, my husband died 12 years ago from cancer, so I believe he took advantage of me, as I had no one else to speak up for me, and no one else to do the job! I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and will never hire them again, or recommend them to anyone, what a rip-off! I also called and said I had a $50.00 coupon, but no one responded!
Do not hire this company - EVER - and I will never again! Carolann Knecht, 3109 W. Emmaus Avenue, Allentown, PA, 18103, 610-791-2793. I called again today, and said I would report them to the Better Business Bureau and my lawyer! Manager, Jerry, is supposed to call me tomorrow between 8:00 AM and 12:00 Noon, or so the receptionist told me! How can they live with themselves?

My initial experience with Lowry where they did not honor their warranty was awful. After a prolonged back-and-forth over several months with the BBB, during which their Manager Joe Haney had many opportunities to offer a compromise and did not, I finally gave up and had to have $3500+ of repairs done by another contractor out of pocket. One year later, Steve Lowry personally reached out to me responding to this Yelp review, advising I should call his office so he could make it right.
When we spoke he was genuinely apologetic about my poor customer experience. He offered to send a $500 check as compensation for my poor experience with his company, which I agreed to. It doesn't undo the poor original experience, but it shows me that they are becoming more aware that they can improve the quality of their service.

I have used Lowry for other jobs and they have done very well. Before this experience, I would have given them 4 stars. That is no longer the case. In a nutshell, they damaged my home and personal property. Broke some pipes that needed to be completely redone. They did not bring their own equipment to do the job, and in the process damaging that. This lead to a huge cleanup on my end.
The receptionionist who I spoke to was great and took notes. However after speaking with the manager, with whom I was told this would all be relayed too, he only received two text messages from a head plumber. According to our conversation, this information was just learned. Now after many calls, everything should be restored. They were great before this.
If a technician comes to your home look for signs.(With any company.) Is all the equipment on the truck? Are they wearing the covers on their shoes. Do they seem to be in a hurry? This is a large company. But I would hesitate before using them again.

Called for an emergency.two hours later and still waiting for a call.its funny to me when a company say 24 hour emergency service but doesn't have enough staff to cover calls. They also charge $148 just to come out and it's not waived if they do the work. BTW, the emergency I called about and am still waiting on? That work has been completed by another local plumber for much less.

We asked them to come out for a plumbing emergency, they said $180 just to come out so I told them no thanks and just went out and bought tools try to fix it. I ended up not being able to so I asked Lowry to schedule an appointment for the next day. They said this would still be considered an emergency and I'd be charged. Called a friend's father who did it for $95.
We also used Lowry for electric. The problem ended up being our front lawn light shorted the circuit and just needed to have the outlet reset. We also asked him to replace an outlet while he was here. $377, pretty expensive.

I'll start this review by saying that they are very friendly and quick to help and start/complete the job. They even have everything they need in their vehicles to start the job if that is something you would want (the person answering the call and the tech will reassure you of this). So why one star? Price. It's insultingly high compared to all their competitors. (I was running electric to my detached garage).
After walking around my garage and basement, and discussing what would be needed, the estimator gave me a verbal quote of around $3500-4000. That's a little higher than I expected from researching other's out-of-pocket but it is possible that my property setup may be different than others (beats me but maybe). So then the estimator asked to "setup" in my house while he prepared the quote. Weird but fine.
He sat in my dining room for about 20 minutes until he was done. $7,800 was the final! So where did that number come from after an initial verbal of $4,000 max?! Your guess is as good as mine. He gave no explanation and no itemized estimate. Just a number. But he did offer $100 off with a coupon he could provide. He reminded me that he could start the job now as his van was ready to go.
I thanked him for his time and stated I'd be in touch. I never got in touch. Instead I shopped around. I came across Haller Enterprises. The estimator took (inspection and written [from his truck, no less!]) about 15 minutes. They ended up doing everything Lowry said they would do for just $2000! I received another estimate just to compare and $2000 seems to be where everyone else is at.
I met someone in passing and started to tell them of my experience with Haller Enterprises versus Lowry. Before I could finish the story they remarked, "Let me guess. They wanted somewhere near $8000 to do the same job?" SHOP AROUND!

So this review covers Lowry Services in Delaware County. Make sure to read all the reviews on here because Lowry extends from Philadelphia all the way to Allentown and out as far as Lancaster. I had a problem with an outlet on the wall where my TV/Cable Box was located. Knowing nothing about electricity or electricians, I just wanted to find someone close by that could do a good job.
When I called on a Sunday night, I expected to leave a message, but a friendly, polite operator answered my call. She took my information, and arranged a call for Monday Morning. First thing Monday morning, received a call from the service center in Delco, and by 9:00am, we greeted our electrician Ed and his trainee. I was impressed because Ed first greeted and was very friendly with my dog.
He and his assistant introduced themselves, and that friendliness was appreciated. Ed and his trainee took a look at my issue and were able to determine that the problem was with a bad light switch (which shared the same wall with the outlet and was causing an issue). After replacing the switch, the issue was gone. Now I was expecting the job to be between $300-500 (as I was told it may be an issue with my junction box by friends with experience).
But the price of $150 was happily accepted! Now, if you're handy and know what you're doing, this may be an overcharge. But for someone with no experience in electrical issues, it's nice to know that Lowry's technician did a great job with minimal impact. My wife and I don't mind paying for good service, so now we know if there's an issue in the future, we can follow up with Lowry going forward.
