As a young man, I was very blessed to have worked in our family business, Mid-Fla Hauling. Today, it is one of the oldest and largest trucking companies in the state of Florida. I would steer away from Mid-Florida Heating and Air (had bad experiences with them and they notoriously do not register the equipment they install with the manufacturers they expect the homeowners to do it -this is NOT industry standard BTW so if something goes wrong you won't be covered under manufacturing warranty.) They also installed a thermostat that was not functioning from the beginning, it worked only as and "on/off" switch.
When I told several technicians this, they just blew me off, even telling me, I would need to purchase several small thermometers and place them around the house to prove the thermostat wasn't working (which I reluctantly did). When I finally got another company to come check the thermostat, a new technician walked in and said immediately, "You know there's a known set of problems with this unit don't you?
I had one myself I just replaced. Let me replace it today no cost, it's under warranty. " But then he couldn't, because Mid-Florida didn't register the $700 unit when they installed it! So I just bought a newer less complicated thermostat, and it actually works now and things are much more regulated in my household now that I have a unit that works and technicians that listen:)) When I called Mid-Florida to explain what happened and to see if they could provide any compensation since they had made the original mistake and had ignored my complaints, they said there was "nothing they could do for me".

The young man who replaced my ductwork and did various associated repairs did an excellent job. He single-handedly took care of the entire job that I'm sure usually has at least two people on task. After the job was finished, there was not even a tiny piece of insulation or trash left behind. Very respectful and impressive!

I feel so lucky that I decided to go with Mid-Florida when I had a problem with my AC this past summer. It was crazy hot and my unit just wouldn't blow! I had gone google crazy and was expecting the worse! But let me tell you that I got blessed with Wes! He came and listened to all my concerns, let me tag along to see what he was looking for (because I'm just extremely curious by nature) and made sure to exhaust ALL possibilities before even trying to recommend a new unit (because I'll tell you. mine IS OLD).
By doing so, Wes finally found the problem! Literally fixed it with some insulation tape (no idea if that's accurate) and set me up with AN INCREDIBLY AFFORDABLE maintenance plan. Wes literally saved me THOUSANDS and gained a customer for LIFE. I know it took a while for me to write this review, but I can add that 6 months later and my unit is STILL GOING STRONG! Thank you Wes and Mid-FL Heating and Air!
