I would give zero stars if I could. On April 14 we contacted my property manager (rental) to say we were having a problem with our dishwasher. Manager sent me the number for CAC appliances and I made an appointment for ONE WEEK LATER. That was the earliest they had. So they were scheduled to come yesterday at 3:00. When they didn't show up I called and they said the technician came at 10 AM to the gate but they could not get a hold of us.

We were home all day. When I called the gate they confirmed that they had NO RECORD of any service people coming to see us. The next available appointment is MAY 2. CAC were rude and unwilling to bend or accommodate me at all. They LIED about their technician ever showing up. AND they completely screwed up the appointment time, with NO APOLOGY. Instead, they blamed ME for not being home at the scheduled time. Worst non-service ever. Buyer beware.

I had a contract with this company for a year. Then the day before the contract was to expire I was called by them and I renewed it. As I was out of town and I inadvertently forgot it was up for renewal. But she called and I paid it, it was still under contract. The next day, coincidentally my air conditioner motor blew. They came charged me $90 for an emergency visit and did nothing while I had a guest with COPD living in the house and said they didn't know when they could fix it, maybe in a few days.

They gave me such a hard time, saying it was pre-existing and then Beth the manager with an attitude called two days after the unit broke and said it's not under warranty and it would cost me over $721 to fix the unit, where it clearly states that I'm covered for all parts. I did not use them to fix the unit. I got another air conditioning person to fix the unit. Be careful who you have your maintenance agreement with!

I have to add my annoyance at CAC. I have an AC contract for seven years. Have never needed service. Call today for the first time for an actual service call. My condensation line was clogged and my normal maintenance that I do would not clear the clog. Called to have a technician come only to find the condensation line service is not included in the contract.

They wanted $50 additional which I agreed.to. When I asked when I can get an appointment I was told in three days. I said I have 2 free maintenance calls that should cover that, they said that would be 3 week. They clearly don't want to do service they just wanna collect money. I told them not to contact me as far as contract renewal. sign up at your own risk.

I have been using CAC for the past 6 months and so far their service has been outstanding. I want to give a shoutout to Lloyd who has serviced my air conditioner twice and both times has done a fantastic job. He is very personable an polite and knows the in's and outs of air conditioning. I will be requesting Lloyd for any future air conditioning work.

I called and spoke with LINDA and advised I had a coupon for $2790 for a complete change out with no hidden charges and she advised they will send a technician out this afternoon. Kingston came out and looked at the outside unit opened up my closet inside but didn't check anything, called the office and spoke with Lisa and Lisa said it would be over $3000.

I advised I had a coupon for $2790 and she said that coupon was expired yet it has no expiration date. She said a new packet came out with a new coupon that's $2950. Then said I had to pay additional charges because I live in a condo yet my neighbor just had theirs done last month and paid the $2790 for everything no additional charges. The coupon states no hidden charges! Lisa was extremely rude and kept on saying "can I talk can I answer" yet I was trying to ask a question as to why they had additional charges when the coupon clearly says no hidden charges.

When I tried to call back and speak with LINDA who did not tell me the coupon was not valid they told me she was gone for the day and transferred me to Lisa who was rude all over again. Not sure how this company puts out a flyer that says their Better Business Bureau rating is a plus yet when you look on the Better Business Bureau website their rating is only 1-1/2 stars! Seems like between the false Better Business Bureau rating and the no hidden charges statement as well as no expiration date this company puts false advertisements out to the public. Unfortunately I did have to choose one star in order to post a review or else I would've given them a 0.

We have been customers with CAC for nearly 30 years. When our complex dropped them, we stayed loyal. But once our present contract is up, we will not be continuing with them. They used to be honest and reliable. They are as far from that now as possible, and they are especially bad, when it comes to ACs. They tell you one thing, and then they do the opposite just to get you to pay more money.

I can no longer say a good word about this company. We have had too many problems with them, recently. Next time, we will be going with someone else. For anyone looking for a service company, I sincerely suggest you look elsewhere.

Zero Stars if I could. Unreliable, unprofessional, and a true disgrace to the industry. I found them to be completely deceptive. Their sales team will flat out lie to you make a deal, but their documents have microscopic language and states the contract covers nothing. You are forewarned. Do not engage with these crooks.

Worst company ever! Do not use them! After having a contract they charge to find out why the air isn't working! Absolutely rediculous! Would NEVER RENEW contract!

Worst company ever! Their customer service is just despicable. They offer appointments 4-5 days out. In South Florida, if you have an AC issue 4-5 days out is UNACCEPTABLE. Their pricing is also not so good. We had a plumbing issue that went above and beyond the scope of our contract. CAC quoted $375 and they couldn't come for a week. We hired a local plumber that a neighbor recommended, and he did it for $175.

They need to hire more technicians. The customer service manager is beyond rude and even hung up the phone on me. I put in a message her for boss, the company owner to call me back and noone ever did. This is not how you treat paying customers who have a service contract. The technicians who work for this company are incredible. It's a shame that they just have such awful customer service.

Horrible! They were here 2 days ago to repair ac. Was here 10 mins said it was fixed. 1 hour later the unit was leaking everywhere! Called them back he said it was the thermostat. Thermostat has nothing to do with it leaking from everywhere but OK. Changed that still leaking. Fixed something else didn't say what said it was working and left. 15 mins later leaking again called them back about an hour later it stopped. Leaking again today called them they have no one until Monday! Leaking ac is supposed to wait until Monday! Shit company with crappy inexperienced repairman! I'd give them no stars if I could! So not hire them!

Billy helped get our older AC system through thirty-five--yes, 35--years. Installed the new system seven years ago. Came two days ago on Mardi Gras of all days to change a bad circuit breaker for our heater. Very reliable, knowledgeable, honest, and a good guy.

My air conditioner was working fine. I had a concern that I wanted an AC guy to look at. So I call Central Air Conditioning. I tell girl my problem and she recommended getting a service contract. I agree and she transfers me and I set up contract. They send truck next day. After he finishes they said I have to pay for visit even though it's included in service contract because it started to close to beginning of contract.

Mind you that my air conditioner was working and could have waited for however long they needed to start my contract. Horrible customer service is because I guess they are to big to care after seeing other poor reviews. Especially bad was Ali in contracting and also girl who initially took my call. I would highly recommend that you do not use this company especially since there are so many options out there.

Last week, CAC installed a new a/c in our condo. Ordered it Wednesday, was here Thursday and installed it. Lloyd and Hal did an excellent and careful job. They were wonderful to work with. Yesterday we had our clothes dryer vent cleaned out. Again, much to our surprise, Lloyd and Hal came to do the work. They, again, did a very good job. We have been with CAC for many years. They work with us all the time, especially when we need them to get here timely. They really try!

I called this company for an estimate on repair or replacement of my AC Unit. They came to diagnose the issue, and promised to provide a written estimate and breakdown the following day. When I did not receive the written estimate by the next day, I called again and advised I was waiting for the written estimate for the repair and a separate one if I decided to replace the unit.

When I received no response I called them again. This time I was told they would not provide a written estimate or breakdown, nor would they refund the cost of the service call ($135.00). I feel this is dishonest and unethical. They did not complete the work, did not give me any written estimates, and still kept my money. I agree with the overwhelming number of reviews giving this company 1 star.

These guys are just bad business. STAY AWAY! This review is based on my most recent experience with this company. My in-laws had an annual service contract with this company for many years for all their appliances in their home. Back in September 2019 my in-laws needed a new AC system for their home. For $4,000 they installed a new Rheem unit with CAC.

The unit performed flawlessly for a short time until the unit started to shut down. On their (CAC) service call they would drain the lines and check the unit and it worked fine until again the unit failed. After numerous failures over the next few moths the unit failed again at the end of June 2020 (9 months after new unit was installed). My 80 and 90 year old in-laws were left without AC for 5 days and there was no sense of urgency by CAC to get the issue resolved immediately.

Mind you the heat at the end of June was oppressive to say the least, even by S. Florida standards. I stepped in on Monday 6/29/2020 and had my AC company go there on an emergency basis to get the system running. You will see by the picture that the drain line was configured improperly (picture with level) which is why the unit was stopping frequently.

In addition the unit needed a new expansion valve (part covered under warranty but I had to pay the labor). An additional diagnosis by my tech was the big duct box beneath where the air handler is installed needed to be rebuilt. While NOT the responsibility of CAC, an experienced tech should have recognized this and recommenced it to my in-laws and given them the cost to do so, but of course they did not.

In the end I had my in-laws sever ties with CAC and I had the unit fixed and rebuilt accordingly. The unit currently works perfectly with new recurring issues. As a follow up I wrote a letter to the owner of the company Richard Sabarese looking for some type of reimbursement for my expenses or even a return call from him. What I got was a call from customer service rep offering nothing and stating to me the services were done to my in-laws satisfaction.

After my conversation with the rep she asked to give her a week to talk to the owner and she'll get back to me. Like she promised I heard from her this morning and the only offer we received was for another free year of contract maintenance. thanks but no thanks. And still o acknowledgement from the owner. I run a business myself in customer service and if I received a letter like the one I sent, you can be sure they would here from me, the owner and not some customer service rep.

In closing it would be my recommendation stay as far away as possible from this company. Their techs are not qualified and for sure they get an F in customer service. They were borderline on elder abuse leaving seniors without AC for 5 days, especially being a new AC unit. First few pics are before and then there are after pics

I have had a contract with CAC for two years. Thankfully I have not needed them except once a month ago when my ac died and it was 95 degrees. I called on a Wednesday and they said we are sorry but we can't get there until Monday. I explained that I had recently had a heart procedure but they really could not come earlier. Therefore I had to call a private company to come.

Today I called them for a service call because I noticed that they ac vent in my closet was not putting out any air. I had had mold in that closet so I am careful of the conditions. Today is July 18 and they told me that they could not come until July 27. Unfortunately I must be out of town then but they told me I should get my house sitter to come. He has been exposed to covid and is quarantining. I am totally unhappy with this company and will not renew my contract. Evelyn

Our outside condenser fan stopped running after a few minutes tho the compressor continued. Called CAC which we had used previously. They scheduled a 2-hr slot the next day. They arrived about a half hour late. Said the fan motor would have to be ordered and replaced and it would take 3 to 5 days. It arrived and was installed 4 days later. We were not thrilled in the delay during this hot summer but they were communicative and the install was quick. The repair guy, Ian, did wear a mask. The charge was $135 plus parts which were $125 for the motor and fan blade which was a good price for the parts.

If I could give this company no stars I would. They are nasty, vindictive horrible people. I have not had air conditioning in my apartment since Saturday afternoon because apparently one of the parts broke down. I didn't know what was wrong so I scheduled an emergency appointment in which I was charged 90.00 so they could fix NOTHING! The guy who came out was very rude and patronizing.

He said he would try to come back the next day with the part to fix it, of course this didn't happen and now they cannot get to my apartment until Thursday to fix it! I made a complaint with the BBB and if you are not happy with them, I suggest you do the same. I am most definitely cancelling my contract with them and finding a better company to work with.

Never use this company. 5 visits and $595. and still the same problem. I called Action Appliance, they came in and new the problem immediately and fixed it.

No stars if I could. Heed my warning! This company is THE WORST. They have a 1.5 star overall rating for a reason: they suck. They "assessed" my central AC unit and with no clear explanation of the problem, said I needed to replace the entire system for $3500. Being a savy consumer, I contacted a highly rated company on yelp for a second opinion, who came out within an hour and fixed it for way less than $3500 (under $500).

They were honest and professional. Please, do yourself a favor and at least get a second opinion! Don't trust these people. I worry for the elderly who get taken advantage of in this area. I hope my review can help at least one person from spending a lot of money unnecessarily.

Billy Johnson is well trained and experienced with all types of AC and heating systems. He provides good service, and above all, he is honest! That's saying a lot for people in that profession, since I've met some who were not. I highly recommend Central AC.
