Our house is very old and had some major plumbing issues. Daniel came up with creative solutions to all our problems and fixed everything in a cost-effective and aesthetic manner. Couldn't be happier with Ongaro & Sons friendly and professional work!

They are expensive but if you need a major job done, I would recommend. They fully replaced our ducts, furnace, and installed a new AC unit. Excellent craftsmanship. Following that, Anthony has continued to be outstanding and gone above and beyond to always answer our calls. We had another property outside of their service area but he helped us figure out what we needed to do and validate another company's proposal & work. This was with no possible ability for them to make money off the time he was spending.

If I could give them NO stars I would. They came to service our tankless hot water heater, and the service didn't work so we had to get a new one. After the fact, we found that they are way overpriced. They claim we purchased a membership and have called us numerous times about renewing even though we told them we sold the house and to cancel our membership. When we tried to explain, the woman in the office was extremely rude!

Our hot water heater went out and Ongaro and Sons was able to respond immediately and resolve the issue the same day. Juan was knowledgeable and thorough with the work he did. Very pleased with the outcome!

A total rip off! We needed a kitchen faucet replaced and this simple job was ridiculously priced. When I made my appointment, they would only tell me the $76 fee for coming out. When the plumber got here, I was blown away by the price of a simple 1-hour install (which was ON TOP of the $76 fee for coming out - they do not waive that fee). Their price was 3x as much as any other plumber.

How do I know? Because I told him to pound sand and I hired someone else, who did a great job for a fraction of the cost. BTW, the plumber who came out was very courteous. And like the other reviewer, I cannot speak to their work - only to their prices. But it'll cost you $76 just to find out that they are soooo overpriced.

After two years of waiting, we finally addressed several home improvements. Ongaro has always been a reliable plumbing go-to business; we were quite happy to make them our go-to again for a series of jobs! Kevin, a 3rd generation plumber, obviously loves what he does and is excellent. He's a craftsman with a great personality. He fixed the problem quickly and efficiently and gave me a reasonable quote for replacing our 26 yo water heater. If all the plumbers at Ongaro are like Kevin, this is one fantastic company.

We needed some plumbing done when a project seemed beyond by ability. Ongaro sent JJ out. Excellent work. Clear, fair, great communication and even better expertise. We couldn't be happier.

Unbelievably OVERPRICED. My god, their quotes were DOUBLE and TRIPLE over 2 other plumbing services that I got quotes from. We're talking thousands of dollars more. The lower priced smaller company I went with was incredibly professional, thorough and did a beautiful job. My guess is that Ongaro's overhead and profit margins are very high.

I would get multiple quotes for whatever plumbing issue you have as the quotes can vary WILDLY! This review says nothing about Ongaro's quality. I am am ONLY reviewing their outrageous pricing. The people that did the quoting were professional.except for the price gouging that is. In my opinion.

We just had a pretty sizeable bit of electrical work done on our new home, and the Ongaro team couldn't have been more awesome. They were courteous, helpful, and always willing to explain exactly what they were doing. Big shout outs to William and Juan for going the extra mile and helping us label our confusing subpanel, providing alternate power to help us get through a work day while they fixed things, and dealing with PG&E delays with as much patience as anyone can. Also, a big thank you to Christopher for his attitude dealing with the electrical mysteries of a particularly quirkily wired old home. Will definitely use them for any electrical needs going forward!

We just bought an older house and asked Ongaro & Sons to give quotes on plumbing, heating, and electrical work before moving in. Over the last three weeks every one of the seven people who've been onsite were knowledgable, courteous, and professional - likewise each of the management and support staff with whom I've spoken on the phone. It's made a huge difference in navigating and executing such a wide-ranging project on a short schedule.

Today the first phase of electrical was finished. Ryan was excellent in giving the initial assessment and quote as well as being agile in adding quotes as new needs emerged. Chad and Joe made the onsite management smooth and seamless while giving solid advice as the project progressed. Aubrey and Chris were at the house the last 2 days - updating receptacles, switches, and lights; and installing new light fixtures and outlets.

Throughout they communicated clearly, did great work, cleaned up after each task, and even went out of their way to help with other parts of the house where they could. We also greatly appreciate Debbie's adept management of the financing which is what's allowed us to tackle so much at once. Ongaro has made a challenging process much easier because of their superb coordination between departments. We are grateful for their professionalism. They clearly place a high value on quality of service across the board.

My son-in-law bought water filter about $500 and ask the company to install. I was house sitting for them Inverness. The guy comes in and asked $1830 for just labor. He arrived at 12:30pm says he needs to spend whole afternoon there to install. I not knowing much technical details of special type of water filter that he claims needing extra hours to do so I thing it's fair for entire afternoon of labor. He finished at 2:30pm and still insists on the full $1830 amount. I think the quality of work is excellent but pricing is ridiculous. I won't recommend it to anyone

I am so pleased with our service from Ontario. Sad to say.that our warehouse toilets were backed up due to staff flushing "flushables". There is no such thing as a flushable wipe. We should all know to only flush the four "P's" Pee Poop Puke Paper (only toilets paper) Great.service and Aldo was super to work with.

A water heater was installed by Ongaro two years ago for the price of 26,000$ and after six months a leak developed on the pressure regulator and with the pandemic going on at its peak the first year inspection was not accomplished. Here we are in year two and since the pressure regulator had a year warranty Ongaro refuses to fix it saying at this point which is 2 years since install even though the part which is fully corroded was obviously not working in year one. Gino the tech says to me"We tried to schedule an inspection during the pandemic so its your fault for not having us come out during the height of the pandemic so we can't honor our warranty and by the way did we mention its your fault." Basically paraphrasing here but the part was obviously not working in the first year since the corrosion is extensive.

I noticed it after six months and tried to contact them but got no response and figured with the amount of money I spent on this equipment we would figure it out when things go back to normal. Here we are with things opening up again and service returning and the inspection was accomplished at year two. The Tech that came out to inspect named Gino was only interested in upselling a yearly maintenance fee to me and did not want to address the circumstances involving the warranty and the pandemic related layoffs Ongaro went through or the lack of response in my contacting them in year one, instead blaming me for not scheduling them to come out sooner!

Total lockdown in California during the timeframe they are saying they would have come out and Ongaro was laying off and unresponsive to my trying to contact them. Overpriced for the subpar service after the install. I would not recommend Ongaro unless you want to overpay for crappy service.

I have to give this 3 star rating based on price. 5 stars for customer service, promptness, courtesy and professionalism. The gentleman that provided me with the estimate was top notch. NO pressure, 100% honest and generally very respectful of my interaction. However, the price quoted is, without a doubt, not realistic. I searched online for furnace pricing and a very high quality and highly rated piece of equipment averaged around $2500.

But my quote for a new furnace with installation was $7500! This is totally unacceptable! Furnace replacement is not rocket science. As a very handy guy, and one who has, first hand, witnessed an installation, $5000 in labor for a 4 to 5 hour job is just way more than this is worth. $1000 per hour is more than lawyers and doctors charge. And there is no flexibility on this pricing.

And I don't feel that the months overhead of this company should be charged on each and every installation. Additionally, I received quotes from 3 other companies and their pricing is almost identical. Price fixing? Taking advantage of consumers? You make the call. BUYER BEWARE!

I'm a stupid Sr., just wrote a 1 star review for Ongaro - that's the wrong co., didn't use Ongaro. I identified my 1 star furnace repair co. (kind of), but Yelp took that out of my review. Can't retract it on Yelp! Will call them.

If price is no object and you're willing to pay close to $600 an hour to have your hot water heater installed, you will get great service for it. I was stunned to get a quote for over $5500 for a simple (I assure you. I have done this before, and by myself it will take me four hours) heat pump water heater installation in my garage. Happy to share my quote with anyone who asks.

For what it is worth, they also never followed up with the promised quote to run a 50 amp circuit to the tank. I'll pull and permit and get that done in a couple hours as well, or I may hire an honest electrician I know that won't quote me a stupid high price. I guess folks just charge what they can these days, not what's fair for the job performed.

In most of the country it would cost a couple hundred to get a tank installed. If you just know a little bit about how easy it is to install a water heater, you'll understand how insulting it is to get a quote like this. I'll bet you could find just about anybody to install a water heater for less than $600 an hour.

Terrible service leaked information from someone believe the last person I had spoke with was Hannah?. I keep my information pretty limited to whom I do business with my number email address etc. not very ecstatic about and quite the annoyance to deal with calls from banking companies I have to ties with or attempted card openings in my name hope that's fixed

Fantastic service from Alex and Joe today - on a freezing rainy day they worked on our old hydrolec boiler and got it working! Amazing. It hadn't been cleaned in years! And both were super pleasant people. We appreciate their intelligent work and hope they will continue to service our unit. Thank you so much Alex & Joe! Our place is warm again.

Every time we turn on the heater I am grateful to Ongaro. Our heater flooded in the October big rain and they came quickly and installed a new one. Wish we could say that we had a good experience with Ongaro and Sons, but can't recommend them based on the following: 1) Pedastal sink not bolted back to the wall. (Lucky we figured that out before it tipped over on someone.) 2) New tub spout not anchored in so it moved from side to side! 3) Hand held shower connected backwards. 4) Tub chipped in multiple places. 5) Crew told us as they were leaving that they didn't clean up since it was so late.

When we contacted their office about these issues the next morning they forwarded the call to their customer service department. Left a VOX. No call back. Called again a few days later and they questioned why we didn't have someone come back the next day to fix the items instead of moving forward with replacing the tile that had to be removed in the tub for the plumbing work.

That was not an option when you have other companies on tight schedules that you have lined up to do necessary work so you can have you one bathroom functioning again. Then they stated they would fix the chips in the tub, but a few days later they called back to tell us that they wouldn't fix the chips because their plumber said he had protectect the tub so it couldn't of chipped. Well, it wasn't chipped before they started and chipped after they left.

Guess we should have taken photos before they started any work, but when you have a company charging champagne pricing you expect them to not make such rookie mistakes as listed above and to make good on any issues they caused. So while the customer service guy who quotes the job is super nice and does his job well and we did get our sink and tub faucets, etc. replaced we are left with a bad taste in our mouth and totally disappointed with this company's customer service. BTW - They charged us to come out and quote on our project and then wanted to charge us again for another quote because the current supply chain shortage prevented us from getting our fixtures for 3 months. Luckilly, it was the guy who quoted us the first time and he refused to charge us a second time stating that it was "bad customer service" to attempt to get more money out of us.

Mike came by for our 1 year check on our water heater they installed and took care of it quickly. We have been very happy with Ongaro & Sons that we recommended them to install a new water heater at my mother-in-laws house & they have a upcoming appointment with my daughter & son-in-law for a ac/heating system check. They're on time, reliable & provide a complete estimate for the work they do. I will continue to do business with them.

Ongaro & Sons just installed a new AC system in my house. The technicians were awesome - extremely courteous, careful, and skilled. The total install took a full day, and they took the time to go through the installation and the system specifics when they were done (location of emergency shut down, etc.) The installation came with a 10-year warranty, which I hope we will not have to use, but if we do, I feel very confident that these guys will honor the product and stand behind their work. Very pleased with the experience.

Working with Randy at Ongaro and Sons has been the best experience I've had with a repair company while being a property manager. He has been extremely thorough and on time during this process of dealing with a major bathroom leak in two of our bathrooms. Randy does a very good job of explaining in plain English what needs to be done. He has also been helpful with shifting the project around to deal with the flooring guys etc. we are still in the middle of this project but I have been so impressed I wanted to make sure I wrote this review. I highly recommend working with this company and Randy in particular.

This is the second time Mark has been to our home for AC maintenance/repair. Not only is he a genuinely nice person, but an expert in his field. I have so much trust in Mark's knowledge. He is professional and explains things in a way you can understand. Mark noticed while looking at our heating unit that there was severe corrosion on our water heater.

Very satisfied with Ongaro. They did a major furnace part replacement earlier this year and just made a follow up visit to check the heater's performance. Brandon called ahead and arrived right on time He was appropriately masked, introduced himself and after being shown where the AC unit was he got right to work. He was very polite and respectful after I explained there was an infant in the house and I preferred not to have anyone come in. Instead he gave me instructions as to what was needed with the thermostat and later a meter which needed to be placed in a vent. His friendliness and courtesy were appreciated!

I am very pleased and happy with their services. Person over the phone was very kind and accommodating, very well versed. Also, our technician Also was amazing! He was knowledgeable, flexible and didn't leave until getting to the root of the issue and resolving it. Our kitchen sink was overflowing, and he was able to investigate and fix the issue. Tony & Brandon came out and did a great job doin what they came to do. My yearly A/C maintenance. They were professional, quick, to the point and informative. Explained that I do have an older unit but that it is in compliance and running w/in respectable parameters. Advised to be aware that a new unit might be in my future bit right now all good. NO HARD SELLING where it was NOT needed.

Much appreciated that. Now that being said. A day after they left my A/C was NOT blowing cold. I called left a v/m and they called back the next morning. Technician Mark came out today and fixed the issue very quickly @ no charge based on the fact, that the issue was missed by previous Technicians. All good for now. My last review was about an outrageous quote. $8500 for a conventional water heater replacement. In that review, I said I remembered a good friend's brother was a plumber, we did it ourselves. I had put this on another company's yelp review with similar quote but better at $6k LOL. So either one of these companies reported me to the county about not having to pull a permit. Well, the county told me that they hear this often, wonder why.

I thought it was a scam to have to pull a permit, never heard of that for a simple water heater, we not building a pool. But ok I pay for a permit $85, your quote was $350 to "pull a permit". It is a 10 minute online app, you don't have to wait in line at city hall and fill out by pen, this ain't 1990 anymore. Why you charge $350 when its about $100? An inspector came and said everything was done perfectly, PASS.

And it wasn't an all day job as you guys mentioned. Got water heater at Lowe's most expensive one $1500. Lowe's offers installation and got quoted $1200 including a permit. So $2700. I could of done that but rather give that money and help a friend's business. I mean if you guys were around $4k I would of went for it, local business and I am sure you guys have the experience over Lowe's, years and years but come on, COVID times, everything is more expensive and lots of people are struggling. You need to make your margin, but not this crazy.

Ongoro and Sons is our go-to company for plumbing and HVAC work. We recently had Jose and Tyler install our AC system (6/7) and they did a great job: clean, courteous, helpful, thorough. They arrived on time and finished in a timely manner. They were great about wearing their masks as well, which I really appreciated. The team who installed our mini split a/c were outstanding. They were efficient, polite, unobtrusive and competent. We were extremely pleased with the whole experience beginning with our initial call to the company for information. We will hire them again in a heart beat and recommend the company highly.

I'm a general contractor and used Ongaro & Sons to replace an entire boiler system for a client who lost hot water. I was impressed with how quickly they responded and was quite satisfied with their work. I usually recommend them to other people and clients

As always, we receive excellent service from this company from the office staff to the technicians. This week, Gerald B. arrived on time, was very courteous, professional and is just a really nice person. He also used PPE. He discovered a major pipe problem, and explained it to us using photographs and a video. We used this company many times and will continue to do so.

Aldo was great! He came for two reasons. Firstly, he checked out the condition of our sewer ejector and gave advice on keeping it running well. Secondly, he confirmed that our clean out did in fact run directly to the main sewer line and ran a camera to confirm and to check the condition of the interior of the pipe. We asked for an estimate to modify the clean out to a more efficient two way system, which he was happy to give us. Aldo was extremely professional, courteous and obviously knew what he was doing.

His friendly manner made it easy to discuss our needs and his suggested recommendations were helpful and not pushy. Highly recommend Ongaro & Sons and you are extremely lucky if they send Aldo!

In the last year Ongaro + Sons have installed a new furnace, A/C, copper water lines and a tankless water heater. Each job was done to perfection. Their support staff is wonderful as well. A big shout out to Ian, Travis, Mike, Nick and Juan for their excellent work.

Honestly, when I first realized we had a leak on this property that I manage for a friend, my immediate and only reaction was the headache that I was about to deal with. Yet the headache never materialized. And that is all due to the superior level of service provided at every level by each and every person working at Ongaro & Sons. I can not say enough good things about my experience working with the amazing group of people that work here.

Everyone I interacted with here blew me away with their professional approach wrapped and delivered in the most sincere and kind package possible. These guys and gals take pride in going the extra mile in exceeding the expectations of their customers. Sorry if I forget a name or two here but the list of professionals who have turned me into a serious fan of this place include 1&2) Nicole and Maegan who answer the phones with such care and pleasantness and help with the logistics 3) Jordan, the original service agent whose sincere approach convinced me to do a bunch of other necessary upgrades 4) Dominique, the phenomenal installer who spent a whole day installing the necessary upgrades and 5) this other service agent (whose name unfortunately escapes me at this time) who needed to be somewhat of a contortionist to do all that insulation work in between the pipes, all the way to the fantastic supervisors like 6) the very knowledgeable and caring Roberto, who showed up the following day along with 7) another great service agent, Abel, to address a small matter that had been overlooked in the original quote, simply to make certain that I was a satisfied customer.

It is no wonder that the Leak Detection Specialist guy (from another outfit) was so pleased to hear of my decision to use Ongaro & Sons for the job. His exact words were "those are the guys that I would call if I had any plumbing issues ever". And although his recommendation was reassuring, I had no clue that as a result of searching on Yelp that day, I would end up turning into a hardcore advocate for some plumbing company.

But I was so blown away by the quality of the service provided by these guys that I felt that the least that I could do in return would be to write them a good review right where I found them in the first place. What's more is that as I was bragging to my wife about what a great experience it has been dealing with these guys for the past few days, she told me that she had a bunch of plumbing work that she had had in mind for some time to be done around our own house and had not found the right guys for the job.

Guess who we're going to be calling now? You guessed it: Ongaro & Sons! (and so that's going to be my very first referral of many more to come that I will be sending their way in the future).

Ongaro did a great job installing some major plumbing needs for our home and was very courteous and professional. But that's not all. Douglas in particular deserves a good Samaritan review as he single handedly rescued a fawn in severe distress whose head got trapped in our fence during the visit. Used his tools to help the wailing animal out safely rather than us waiting for animal control, whose ETA was TBD. Talk about going the extra mile. On time. Worked quickly. Masked up. Good people.

The technician was professional, courteous, and efficient. He diagnosed my problem (dead capacitor on furnace) and repaired it quickly. He checked other components to rule out other failures. He was very capable and thorough. I enthusiastically recommend Ongaro & Sons. Edit: As I read some critical reviews that complain about high prices, I should note that Ongaro was one of two firms that looked at my furnace.

The competing firm, Global Comfort HVAC, quoted $1,700 for a new blower, whereas Ongaro fixed the system by replacing the capacitor for $300. In direct competition, Ongaro's diagnostic thoroughness and price were of obvious benefit to me.

Ongaro replaced our ancient air conditioner, and we couldn't be happier with the service. Starting with the estimator, everyone was professional and pleasant. The technicians, Jose, Raoul, and Alexis, were superb. They were extremely respectful of social distancing, wore masks, and paid attention to minute details. They were reassuring when we fretted about our not amply clearing a path to the heater- attitude was, "don't worry." All three men were extremely competent, clear, responsive to questions, and neat. We chose Ongaro on the strong recommendation of a friend - and they live up to their reputation.

The Service Manager at Ongaro was quickly responsive after my review was brought to his attention and assured me that they offer a 100% guarantee of satisfaction. He asked me what sounded reasonable and agreed to refund the amount that was ultimately defined as overhead. Thank you Ongaro for your consideration. And consumers of all ages, I might recommend that you get a written estimate and invoice that you can print out and read clearly for the entire job before beginning the work.

Found the problem and fixed it. Ricardo was very helpful and honest. The job wasn't easy to troubleshoot so the fixed price they offer avoids any surprise bills.

The price gouging is some of the worst I've ever seen. Our nine-year-old instant water heater stopped working. I called a few places and Ongaro was the only one able to come same day. Ongaro & Sons told me it would be $1,100 to clean it out and figure out what the issue was. Mind you the new unit cost from Lowe's is $800. Their cost for fixing my $800 instant hot water heater unit was $4,000 (yes $4k) with the replacement cost quoted at being as much as $8,000.

Of coarse they didn't think my water heater installed by a licensed contractor was to code but it was. I even had a plumber double check all the things Ongaro told me may not be to code and not at all to my surprise they were. Ongaro prices are just insane! For example the $1,100 fee for de scaling KC Homes charges $450.00. So don't pay double Bay Area friends!

They charged me for a leak that they never found. Talked us into extras that were not necessary. And after three different people assessed the system. Suggested a full replacement of the dual a/c units. Also got an estimate from another company and it was thousands of dollars less.

Having used them several times, they are simply THE FRIGGIN BEST! (Despite the miscommunication once that David made every effort to make better.) Everyone from the front office, the technicians, to the managers have been incredible to work with. We recently had a sewer lateral that needed a repair, and after calling several other plumbers, Ongaro & Sons were the only ones who made us feel comfortable about the process.

I especially appreciate not being mansplained to like I was by another plumber who was trying to convince me I only needed to snake the line. Like all the other jobs they did for us, they were thorough and respectful of your time and space. They may be pricier but at least we know exactly what we are paying for. We will only call them for any plumbing work from here on out.

We had AC installed in our house during Covid and they were very fast, professional and did the job right. They also respected our special requests to keep distance and stay outside the main house during installation due to us having two small children. The work was done perfectly and price was reasonable. They also have a very well organized operation and very good sales and support. Highly recommend for any HVAC or plumbing needs!
