Simple Energy was founded in 2006 by two local industry veterans who felt the intense consolidation of home heating companies in the Upper Valley had come at the expense of customer service. Back then, 70% of the home heating business in the Upper Valley was controlled by out of state or international companies.
Our technicians go through extensive training to become certified experts in the systems and equipment that keep you home safe, comfortable and welcoming. We make it easy to protect your home with our Simple Service Protection Plan and information on Heating System Safety. Sandy was home alone and I was an in-patient at Dartmouth-Hitchcock when the air scoop on our boiler stopped functioning and started leaking. One desperate phone call and two of your plumbers went into action to resolve the problem.

Called this morning for a plumbing issue. I am not a regular customer, but the customer service was top notch. they came in cheaper than the quotes price. they were there hours earlier than originally expected. Thanks to Aiden and Jenny and the plumber whose name I do not know. I have running water again.

We recently lost heat. We called at 6 AM in the morning when we found out. We were told that someone would call us back and set up a time to come and fix it. At 10 AM I had not received a call back and I called again to explain that I still did not have heat. They said that someone would be out at 1PM. At 2PM no one had shown up or called to say they were on the way.
At 230PM I called yet again. I was transferred to 5 different people. The last person I spoke too, told me that nobody knew we did not have any heat. They then said that someone would be out to fix it as soon as possible. By 345PM my house was less than 53 degrees and nobody had called or showed up. I decided to call another plumber to fix the problem so my 1 yr old and I did not have to drive to a hotel for the night. Mill Hollow Plumbing and Heating was there in 30 min and fixed the problem.
At this time, Simple energy had not called me back. I decided to call them back to tell them that I no longer needed their services but also found out that they still did not have a time slot to come and fix my heat. Simple Energy gave terrible service for a true emergency.

I switched propane suppliers from a larger company to locally-owned Simple Energy and I couldn't be happier. They are always reliable and so nice. If I ever forget about a payment or an appointment, someone from the office just calls and we resolve it without issue. It feels so different than trying to deal with call centers and completely impersonal service you get otherwise. The negative reviews I see on here are completely opposite of my experience.

These folks are great! Had a major issue with my Viessmann Boiler that even the company rep couldn't figure out. I called Simple Energy and they resolved the issue enough that at least my house is a little warmer. While I am at it. their customer service for propane delivery is fantastic as well. 2019: Still great! I read the other reviews, sometimes even the best companies can be off. Sadly complaints are more motivating to post than complements. I recommend giving Simple Energy a chance.

They lost my appointment. Like I never called. When they didn't show, I called. No concern that I had taken off work. No concern that my appointment had been lost on their end. If they do show tomorrow, I'll update the review. For now, I miss Roger Carpenter and may have to say goodbye to Simple Energy. Update - They did show and do a good job. The technicians are competent and good. Their customer service.
