You could say that James Lane's first sale was the toughest deal he'd ever close. After all, the customer was his wife, Elizabeth. The year was 1957, and James was giving serious thought to leaving his employer and launching his own heating and air conditioning company. Elizabeth, whose primary job was caring for the couple's three young children, all under the age of 7, was understandably skeptical.

At James Lane, we've got your heating needs covered, from installation and repair of a fuel efficient furnace or heat pump to heating appliances and advanced HVAC technology.

The electricity we need for our business is produced by a 4,000 square foot solar ray panel. In fact, we produce more than enough renewable energy for our business so the extra energy is sent back to the local power plant, enough for 6 homes. Our technicians use laptops eliminating the need for any paper forms such as invoices, receipts, order forms etc.
James Lane Co. recently installed a new complete HVAC system for me. At first, I thought I would get a bid from them along with some others, figuring from what I had heard that they would be the highest. I got a bid from another reputable company in town and James Lane. James Lane beat the other bid, and their estimator Rob took the time to complete the bid on site and was willing to answer any questions and concerns. The other company spent about five minutes and e-mailed me a vague quote with no follow up.

We chose James Lane primarily because of their reputation for excellence. And from the initial consultation through the installation we we were impressed with the level of professionalism. Nick walked us through our options and pointed out things inside and out that we had not considered. Installation was a breeze thanks to Jacob, Clayton, and Joe who went above and beyond to keep our house in good condition! In addition, a portable A/C unit was supplied for the week between purchase and install. In short: This was money well spent! We highly recommend James Lane!

Cory and Brady worked hard in the heat to install our new AC unit and Cory was very patient and kind walking me through the use of the fancy new thermostat technology. The two men, Leroy and Clayton, installed a new ac and heating unit in our home on Monday. They were on time, introduced selves and explained the plans. They were very professional, working without wasting time and considerate of personal surrounding, placing cover over floors and cleaning up after job. I would highly recommend this business. We are pleased with product, installation and buying experience. We know it is a reputable business and will go beyond what is expected for customers!

Thank you to James Lane! We needed a new AC/Heat unit and they were able to get the job ordered and completed so quickly for us! The installation guys Jacob and Joe were outstanding. They were so very polite and made sure everything was left more clean than when they started. They were so very patient and answered all my questions as well!

The entire process with James Lane was fantastic. Nick came to my house and layed out 4 options for a new HVAC system.price and warranty are excellent. Technicians Jeremie and Michael arrived early on the assigned day and got right to work. they are friendly and efficient, answering all of my questions as the job progressed. They completed the job in under the scheduled 10 hours, which was a bonus. Highly recommend!

The service men showed up exactly on time. They looked professional and behaved in a respectful, professional manner. They worked hard with each person doing their part. It was a choreographed routine! Jacob, Evan and Clayton knew their business in respect to installing a new heating and cooling unit in my home! Jeremy and David installed a complete air system today. They called a day ahead and said they be here at 8:00am and was here at 8:00! They were efficient, knowledgeable and direct. As an elderly couple they were eager to explain what they were doing and why. Installation was done in a professional manner, with no mess and monitored as to its working. Explaining the new thermostat was easy and all questions were answered. These are two young men any company would be proud to have. Thank You James Lane!

My plumbing problem started last Friday afternoon. When I discovered my leak, I contacted James Lane at 4:45 pm. I was advised someone would come, but could not give an approximated time. I was ok with this. I knew it would be an after hours call. I turned the water off and waited. The plumbers arrived and in 30 minutes capped off the damaged pipe that supplied water to my shower faucet.
I was given the choice to do the least cost for a repair that evening, or have them proceed on to complete the repairs. Of course I elected to do the least cost and have them finish this week This morning, the plumbers from James Lane arrived at my house on time, in fact 15 minutes early, which really pleased me. I was advised by one of them exactly what was required to complete the repairs.
The plumber took me outside and showed me where the new frost freeze faucet would be installed. He explained the process of removing the damaged faucet (the pipe to this old faucet was the cause of my leak) and installing the new frost free faucet. They vacuumed the closet where they worked, even vacuumed the area were they tracked in. To say the least, I am most pleased with James Lane regarding their response time and repairs.
