I have never reviewed on yelp before but feel compelled to warn potential customers about calray. I was billed 2.5 hours of travel time (at a full working rate) for 15 minutes of service. My pilot had turned off as a result of drastic weather spikes (so I was told) and the technician ended up filling my open air vent with a plastic bag. The pilot continues to turn off and 6 months later we are again without hot water.
I asked for an explanation of charges once the invoice was received (there wasn't delay in initial billing) and heard nothing until 6 months later when I inquired again and was forwarded an email (that had been sent to the wrong email address) staying simply that the owners verified the invoice as correct. The behavior is criminal. 6 months from the initial service date I have been served with a small claims court summons.
If I had the time to do so, I would enter legal suits. But instead, I will pay over $1,000 for a plastic bag and hope that with the power of the internet and reviews this company soon ceases to exist. Criminal.

Before receiving service from Calray, recommended to me by my trusted plumber, I had to give my Credit Card number. Little did I know that they would debit my CC before I even saw an invoice for the work provided. They then over billed me, and I had to negotiate a credit to my card, less than I felt I was owed, especially when I saw that they charged me double for the part. They charged me an hour for transportation$160, which was not mentioned when I initially asked them their rate. The service was fine. BEWARE THIS CONTRACTOR!
