Services
Oscar Hehnke, father of Jerry Hehnke, started the company in 1941. He opened his own metal/heating shop and operated it as the O.V. Hehnke Company from his garage on Charles Street. In 1947, Claussen and Sons Construction began building our current location at 907 W. Oklahoma. In 1967, Jerry and Charlene (Chick) bought the company and changed the name to Jerry's Sheet Metal Heating and Cooling, which was incorporated in 1977.

If you have an issue with a ductless mini-split heating system I would not use this company, you will be faced with condescending remarks on your current system's branding if it is not something Jerry's sells or likes to work on. Instead of helping me find a solution I was constantly reminded by both the tech and salesperson that since my system is not a Mitsubishi its "just going to have problems".
My system is a very well known and well made brand, and I spared no expense finding the best system I could for my heating/cooling situation. When the tech arrived he scratched his head, rambled on about how if I would've spent more on a Mitsubishi unit then I wouldn't be having issues, then proceeded to unthaw his frozen equipment on time that I was being charged for.
The tech suspected I possibly had a leak in my system, but did not bring the equipment to properly diagnose said leak. Instead he decided that he would pump more refrigerant into my system at my expense, without knowing how much potentially was lost if any at all. Long story short is a $300 bill and a system that was not in any way working better than it was when he got there.
Poor service, bad attitudes towards brands they do not sell, and extremely expensive. They were on time and the tech did seem knowledgeable, but continued being critical of my system rather than looking to solve my issue, the condescending attitude towards brands that Jerry's does not sell or like to work on seems to be a culture at the business, and through conversation with three different employees It was evident they do not want to find you a solution, but would rather sell you a solution. Very poor experience, do not use.
